It’s about a 15-minute walk (or a short taxi ride) to Luxor Temple and other central sights.
Environment: Luxor West Bank is very cute and beautiful country villa, like a paradise, not far from the ferry terminal, may be more convenient for self-driving. There are beautiful murals and wall lights in the room
Service: The waiters are very enthusiastic, there is an old grandfather who is very good in English, the service is very meticulous and thoughtful, we bought watermelon in the market and he helped us squeeze juice for free. Later, he learned that he had worked in this hotel for 17 years.
Hygienic: very clean, the tile floor in the public area is bright and reflective, the sheets in the room are not ball-free, the towels are fluffy and clean, the water is a bit slow, but the impact is not big
Very nice hotel, we stayed for a total of four nights, and we can fight for $30 a night with the boss at the front desk. In the chat, I learned that this hotel was originally run by a pair of German wives and Egyptian husbands. In recent years, the boss took over. It is still operating with care. I recommend it to everyone. I also hope that the boss will continue to provide good service.
We stayed 5 nights here and had a great time. We were upgraded for our honeymoon and generally found that the staff for every department, from front desk, concierge, business center, room service, and cleaning all had excellent attitude, thoughtfulness, and service.
Sonesta helped arrange all of our tours, private car and guide, in Luxor. Except for a few small things, everything went well.
Note all tours booked must be paid in cash. This was highly inconvenient and rather odd for a 5 star hotel as every other hotel in our trip to Egypt accepted credit card for booking tours. I would highly recommend the hotel change this policy.
Lastly, the hotel has quite a bit of character as its decorations are of an older luxury style. The lobby and restaurant area looks to be renovated. The room interior is older.
This is really a hidden gem in Luxor! It’s on the quiet west bank and near to Valley of king, queen, nobles, artists! The Arabic style room, building and garden meet all my imagination about Tales from 1001 nights! The owner is such a kind lady. She will arrange cars and tours at very reasonable price! They also have the best food and coffee in Luxor! The menu changes every day!! All the staffs are also so kind and helpful! They will have new buildings by end of 2024. If I ever come back to Luxor, I will definitely stay here again and longer! My best memory in Egypt!
A relação custo-benefício não é alta. 1. A água é frequentemente trocada automaticamente. 4.
Great Location on the more quiet side of Luxor, The West Bank with a 2 min walk to the ferry crossing point.
Only real issue was the dogs that reside outside had a barking match at 4am on night.
Stayed for 2 nights, as it was Low season (start of summer) There was only one other guest in the hotel so I had the place to myself inc the swimming pool which was clean and refreshing to use after a day trekking around the local sights.
The breakfast wasn’t great but understandable as they couldn’t do their full spread as there wasn’t enough guests to accommodate but it was adequate enough with Egg’s, bread, fruit with coffee and tea, I didnt get to check the rooftop restaurant as i didn’t want them to open due to its quietness,
They did accommodate me with a beer on arrival and later by the pool. No Wifi in room but great by the pool area.
Also the place a pretty dusty but everywhere in Egypt virtually was so this was not a problem, although the room was very clean with great air conditioning and view of the Nile.
Would certainly stay again on my next visit, the locals were fantastic.
There is currently construction in front of the hotel of a welcoming plaza for the ferry port which didn’t effect my stay/sleep but will be a wonderful addition once completed.would 100% recommend.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserMy trip to Luxor was fantastic, largely thanks to this hotel. Located on the east bank of the Nile, it's not super close to the city center, requiring a taxi, which contributes to its peaceful ambiance. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the public areas and gardens are beautifully maintained. The main restaurant and pool face directly onto the Nile, offering stunning views of hot air balloons rising over the West Bank in the mornings and breathtaking Nile sunsets in the evenings. My city-view room had a balcony overlooking the lobby garden. While the room's facilities were quite retro, the lighting dim, and the AC a bit noisy, the bed was large and incredibly comfortable. The bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak, and bottled water was replenished daily (though you have to ask for toiletries). Overall, the service was excellent. Staff were proactive in helping with luggage, and getting a taxi was incredibly convenient – just register the license plate at the front desk for access through the gate. Finally, a special thank you to Walid. My suitcase was damaged, and Mr. Walid proactively came to my room with tools to help repair it, all while engaging in a friendly chat. His warm and attentive service was deeply appreciated, as was the service from every staff member at Steigenberger. Luxor is a beautiful place. Visiting its magnificent sites and meeting such kind people made me incredibly nostalgic. I will definitely be back.
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be generally pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with basic amenities that made the stay convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked for guidance or information.
The location was decent—close enough to local attractions and restaurants, though not in a particularly lively area. Breakfast was included, and while it had a reasonable variety, the quality was average and not particularly memorable.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable place to sleep without expecting anything luxurious. Good value for the price, but don’t expect extra frills.
GGuest UserJoie Ville was wonderful. Our Nile View room could not have been better located stunning views. We opted for half board and the buffet evening meal and breakfast had plenty of options and was of good quality. We also ate from the pool bar and bought drinks - exceptional prices for everything. The ability to call for a golf cart to collect you and take you around the large estate was a welcome addition in the August heat. We are already planning another Luxor trip and wouldn't hesitate to book here again.
GGuest UserEvery service staff is very nice, but it is really not recommended to live in the West Bank. The transportation here is very inconvenient. This homestay is in a desolate village. I was very scared on the way to the taxi. There was nothing around. I wanted to take a taxi to the port to take a boat, but no one took the order. I had to walk out. Many local villagers asked me along the way, but I didn't dare to talk to them. It was obviously different to take a boat to the East Bank. It was also very inconvenient to take a taxi back after the sun set at 5 o'clock. Many drivers were unwilling to cross the bridge and asked for a very high price. It is really not recommended to live in the West Bank. You need to go back very early, but in fact, the Nile River in Luxor is very lively at 11 o'clock at night
TterentiusThis is a decent, economically priced hotel. The key benefit of this hotel is its location - along the Nile corniche, and walking distance from the Luxor temple, Luxor museum, the ”souq” or tourist / souvenir market, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated though very clean. There is also a pool, gym, and spa, all the modern creature comforts you need from a hotel (I did not use these facilities so cannot comment).
Staff are generally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is also very good - a very wide spread with hot foods (think hard boiled eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and the likes), a whole selection of pastries which were fresh, an egg station, salad bar, fruits, yoghurt etc. They even start breakfast at 5.30am for those who need an early start touring.
No toothbrush/ toothpaste provided (this seems to be the norm in Egypt), no razor available even on request.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is about 500 meters from Luxor Temple, making it very convenient for transportation. It's close to attractions on both the East and West Banks. You can take the local Nile ferry between the banks for 25 EGP one way. The East Bank ferry terminal is about 1 km walk from the hotel. The room is quite spacious and kept clean with all the necessary amenities. The area outside the hotel is lively with many dining options. The front desk staff speak English well.
MM293132****Highly recommend this hidden gem hotel in Luxor! The overall environment is clean and elegant with a super comfortable atmosphere. There are neatly arranged lounge chairs by the outdoor swimming pool, and lying on them to sunbathe in the afternoon is the perfect cure for travel fatigue.
The breakfast has a mind - boggling variety of options, with hot dishes, cold cuts, desserts and freshly squeezed juices all available, kick - starting your day full of vitality. Several in - house restaurants are also outstanding, allowing you to enjoy authentic delicacies without leaving the hotel.
The room details are well - thought - out. The provided safe allows you to store your personal valuables with peace of mind. The biggest surprise is the bedding—the mattress and pillows are so soft that you won’t want to get up once you lie down.
A special shout - out to Yasmin at the front desk! When I arrived at the hotel, it wasn’t yet the check - in time, but she kindly helped me check in early, enabling me to drop my luggage and rest sooner. It was such a thoughtful gesture.
It offers great value for money for a one - night stay. You definitely won’t regret choosing to stay here in Luxor. Truly recommended to everyone!
BBootaMondairThis is a very nice hotel located centrally in Luxor and only a very short distance from sites such as Luxor Temple. The room and facilities were lovely, and all the staff members were excellent and could not do enough for you. We love the pool area and the views to the Nile were stunning. Restaurants were good, we tried them all. Superb hotel
RR2F2Location was great. Luxor temple, the bazaar and good restaurants all in walking distance. Breakfast was the best I've had in Egypt so far. It was nice sitting outside eating and looking at the Nile River. Room was good. I didn't like the hairdryer. It was basically useless as it'd take the entire night to dry your hair. Room was quiet, clean and bed was good. Overall a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.
VVeronicabukuThe hotel feels a bit dated, but it definitely lives up to its five-star standard. The location is super convenient for getting around. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! Breakfast was nothing special, and not particularly cheap either.
