O hotel superou minhas expectativas.
The hotel is not as good as expected. There’s no Nile view from our room, located at 2nd floor nor from the restaurant, so we didn’t see Nile from the hotel at all.
The service didn’t make us feel welcomed. The receptionist didn’t say hello or welcome, and looked impatient. When we asked if the hotel has first aid kit, as my husband was scratched by a cat and needed sanitary treatment, the receptionist just directly said “No”, although he promised to check and came back to us, he didn’t…
The room is good but the bathroom is quite old and the AC heat function didn’t work - it’s just around 8 degree during night in Aswan.
Excellent room, and very friendly and sincerely caring staff. The Nile view from the balcony is amazing. Monica the Guest relation manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay is at its best. Ibrahim from the breakfast restaurant always prepare our breakfast to go as our excursions were very early. Thank you Tolip staff for making our stay memories unforgettable. THANK YOU.
Very good hotel with excellent value for money facilities.
Big and clean rooms, nice staff and excellent manager Mr. Islam will do everything to make your trip comfortable and memorable.
Highly recommended.
Okay, so the Basma Executive Club was really lovely. The service was genuinely great – everyone was so helpful and friendly, which made a big difference. The facilities were also top-notch. I especially enjoyed relaxing by the pool with its amazing view of the Nile, and the executive lounge was a nice perk. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view too. Overall, it was a really pleasant and enjoyable stay in Aswan.
Pros
The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space.
We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this.
Cons
Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach. It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable).
I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful.
Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast.
Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.
O quarto é Muito confortável e a higiene é Muito limpa.Não encontrei Lugar para me provocar, e o lavagem natural é Muito útil!!!!

GGuest UserWe had a nice stay, the Housekeeping staff are excellent.
Towels in the bathroom need to get rid because it is old.
Back of the bathroom door is a bit old and not cleaned.
guest relation Christine was not helpful until I called reception and asked about her name.
Reception staff need to be welcoming and friendly.
Our TV didn’t have a signal since arrival, I had to call reception every day a few times to sort it out.
It worked sometimes but was frustrating loosing signal while watching TV and have to ask reception to help. When it happened in the morning, I had to wait until 3pm when maintenance arrive.
Also the screen was blurry.
We had very good service in the restaurant .
the boat service is very good.
JjzycnThis is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village.
First of all, you have to be able to tolerate:
1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel.
2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide).
3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it.
4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel.
5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person...
What did we get here?
1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am.
2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic.
3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic.
4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles.
5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.
GGuest UserWonderful service - guard and porter at the front, efficient front desk, upgraded to a Nile room.
Pool side was great with a view of the Nile, plenty of chairs and fresh towels, although bar staff sometimes a little slow on drink and food refills this could be forgiven
Buffet breakfast had a good selection including eggs made to order, staff very attentive
Dinner selection was OK but again great service
Wwpcoco33Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.
GGuest UserWe booked two garden view rooms for our family trip. Hilariously, we checked in at 2:30 PM that day, then rushed to a scenic spot and dinner. When we returned to the hotel around 8:40 PM, our room key cards weren't even ready – incredibly inefficient. To make matters worse, there was no hot water in the rooms. The temperature had dropped significantly that day, and I was traveling with a 3-year-old and my 70-year-old mother. Both rooms had no hot water. I called the front desk, and they said they'd send someone, but we waited a good twenty minutes before a staff member finally arrived. It was clear the staff member wasn't trained; they couldn't speak English and immediately used their dirty hands to touch all the bath towels in the room. Then they just said ”five minutes” and left. We waited another ten-plus minutes with the child, and still no news. I had no choice but to call the front desk again and ask for a room change. I was told the hotel was fully booked. Desperate, I contacted Ctrip, and their overseas specialist spent a long time negotiating before the hotel finally agreed to a room change. However, by then it was past 10 PM, and our child couldn't stay up any longer. We had no choice but to give the child a quick wash and put them to bed. I've never encountered such a poorly managed hotel. I have no idea how it got a 4.9 rating. Also, the hotel's advertised free airport shuttle service is only available at 4 AM and 6 PM; all other times are chargeable. I'm writing this to save others from making the same mistake! We chose this hotel because it's part of the MGM brand, and the room decor and hardware are quite good, but the service (software) is absolutely terrible. So, our conclusion is: in Egypt, don't just look at the brand name of a hotel; as long as it's locally managed, it's a complete mess. ಢ🌚ಢ
EEvonneLimOn our first night, the room was not clean. After our first complaint, housekeeping did a simple cleanup but it was still unsatisfactory. With our second complaint, a deeper cleaning was arranged, and the room was finally clean — though it was already past midnight (around 1am). The hotel staff apologized and kindly compensated us with a dinner discount, which we appreciated. Overall, we are happy with the team’s fast response and service recovery.
One small feedback: the facilities’ opening hours (spa and gym) clash with typical sightseeing schedules. Since they open late and close early, we were unable to enjoy them. It would be great if the hotel could consider extending the operating hours.
Credit to the room towel decoration. Surprises everyday we came back from sightseeing. Talented creativity of towel art.
WwangwinworldThis was the most expensive hotel on our trip to Egypt, and it was quite a hassle getting there. Our flight was delayed for a long time, and the only transportation from the airport was unofficial taxis. However, the hotel was worth it. We paid an extra $150 for our child, which included a lavish afternoon tea that practically served as dinner. We missed the group tour, but since we were only staying one day, they gave us a private tour of Churchill's and Agatha Christie's rooms. The old building offered a unique atmosphere and view. Housekeeping was 24/7, so you could request cleaning at any time. There's a Carrefour nearby with very affordable items. Breakfast was decent, though my child felt it wasn't varied enough, so they brought out freshly baked bread and other treats. The service truly was excellent, and we had a great experience. The new building's rooms were also very spacious, but it was just too hot. It might be better to visit in winter.
GGuest UserThe hotel is right by the Nile River. There is a large area full of his homes. It is a bit like a more distinctive homestay. It is in Nubian style, and there are many distinctive decorations in the room.
The hotel is located in the suburbs, and the surrounding area is deserted and remote, so it is also very quiet. The hotel we booked to pick us up from Cairo to Aswan was charged $55. It took about 40 minutes to drive. I felt cheated. In fact, you can call a taxi directly from the airport. It is not as chaotic as it is said on the Internet.
The breakfast in the hotel is not bad. The fried egg is very delicious. There is a waiter who is Nubian. He is very nice to me. He will take the initiative to help me carry things and remind me to pay attention to the steps. It is the most sincere and friendly service I feel in my trip to Egypt. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask his name. When I left, I wanted to find him to tip but couldn't find him.
