Read Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby is classic and our Manor room was well appointed. We encountered two problems though. The front desk clerk was very short with us at checkin and seemed annoyed to answer our questions about valet parking. But, most importantly, our room was so very noisy at night. The walls are paper thin and we heard every conversation in the neighboring room. Also, the doors in our hallway closed with a loud bang every time a guest closed their door. It was one of the worst nights of sleep we have ever encountered in a hotel. At checkout the clerk did not greet us except to ask if we wanted our receipt printed or emailed. No “How was your stay?” was asked. We chose not to complain to her at checkout as she didn’t seemed concerned about us as guests.

There is a big gap between price and the quality or service. Internet access in the room requires an extra fee, and coffee availability is limited. Parts of the facility are quite old, and the fitness room is in poor condition. As a small consolation, breakfast could be included in the price to win guests’ hearts through their stomachs.

O hotel era razoável. A cama não era muito confortável e os travesseiros eram bem macios, sem muita firmeza. O quarto tinha uma cozinha completa com geladeira. Infelizmente, as lixeiras que ficavam logo atrás do prédio foram esvaziadas por volta das 2h30 da manhã de quinta-feira e fizeram um barulho ensurdecedor. Eu estava no 5º andar e o barulho me acordou e pareceu durar uns 30 minutos, enquanto o caminhão de lixo recolhia, esvaziava e jogava as lixeiras de volta no chão (provavelmente umas 5). Eu não recomendaria se hospedar aqui só por esse motivo. A lixeira da cozinha estava cheia de lixo quando fiz o check-in, então questiono a limpeza em geral. Também não gostei do teclado numérico para entrar no quarto (e no prédio fora do horário de funcionamento). Fica a cerca de dois quarteirões da Broadway, então dá para ir caminhando.

Air wasn't working in one room, and it took most of the night to switch rooms. There was an event during which a physical domestic dispute took place. My kids, 18 to 23, witnessed the bloody mess. We booked 4 rooms for my husband and me and my 4 adult children; hotel seemed frustrated that my children had their own rooms. They're grown. The hotel was getting paid for 4 rooms, plus they had my card for incidentals. I don't see the problem. But... the location was walkable to the sights. It was a decent hotel. The price was great for the quality.

A sala que EU reservava não era o que EU recebi quando EU cheguei. Eu tinha pago duas camas de tamanho real, MAS EU tinha UMA cama real e UMA cama de sofá.O Frente me informou que eles estavam fora de duas camas reales e, às vezes, aplicações de terceiros estão carregando informações incorrectas. A recuperação de serviço não foi a melhor.O crédito é oferta, MAS não reflecte as diferenças de preço entre OS dois tipos de quarto.Não mencionar que a decisão FOI tomada apenas porque me prometi duas camas de rainha. Em geral, o hotel estava bem, apenas não o que eu estava pensando.

Stunning hotel, great room with the most comfortable bed, fantastic amenities. Roof top bar is really cool. Great food, easy walk to broadway.

The bathroom stall still had strands of hair on the wall and floor which I assume belonged to the previous guests!! The bathroom wall glue used on the joints were yellow- brown and the bathroom surround was cream in color!! The glue applied could be seen oozing on where the back wall panel joins the 2 side wall panels!
