Wonderful Pet-Friendly Stay Near the Airport I stayed at this hotel near the airport and had an amazing experience. The property is genuinely pet-friendly, which made traveling with my cat so much easier. The front desk staff Xiaohu were incredibly kind and helpful—I had just arrived and didn’t have a Chinese phone number yet, and she went out of her way to help me order cat litter. That small gesture made a huge difference. The room itself was quiet, clean, and beautifully decorated. I loved that it had a small private yard connected to it—it made the space feel peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. The location is also perfect for travelers, especially those needing quick access to the airport. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

This was my second stay here, primarily for an early morning international flight from Pudong the next day. **Facilities:** While I booked a Ramada, I actually stayed at a different hotel. The front desk staff claimed it was better than a standard Ramada, but I can't confirm that. **Cleanliness:** It was decent, nothing exceptional. **Environment:** I arrived very late and left very early. They offer a free shuttle service, which was great, and they even provided a complimentary breakfast. Overall, I was quite satisfied. **Service:** Everyone was pretty enthusiastic. **Pudong Airport Shuttle:** They have regular shuttle buses, some even running every 20 minutes. **Parking:** Free parking for four days, I believe.

Review: The Langham Shanghai — Still Well-Located, But No Longer the Same The Langham Shanghai has long been one of my preferred hotels, especially before the pandemic. After many stays, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of hospitality, consistency, and refinement. This recent visit, however, showed a noticeable decline across several areas. Service Overall service from the staff was acceptable. Front-line employees remained polite and tried their best. However, the manager on duty—a Caucasian manager—felt out of touch with Asian hospitality norms. His attitude came off as dismissive and rude, which immediately set the wrong tone. The contrast between the staff’s warmth and his behavior was striking. Breakfast Buffet The most significant drop was in the breakfast buffet. Quality has slipped in a way that’s hard to ignore: food didn’t taste as fresh, dishes weren’t as well prepared, and the overall selection felt uninspired compared to previous years. At this point, it’s honestly better to go out for breakfast. Room & Housekeeping Room cleanliness was fine, but small inconsistencies added up. Turn-down service was missed on some nights. When I requested water refill, the staff who arrived seemed confused about why she had been sent up, leading to an awkward exchange. These are small moments, but in a five-star hotel, they highlight cracks in training and coordination. Overall Impression The Langham Shanghai still has one unbeatable strength: location. But nearly everything else has declined—food, consistency, management attitude, and attention to detail. After years of loyalty, I’m now considering switching to a different hotel for future trips. The experience simply didn’t match the standards I’ve known and trusted from The Langham brand. A disappointing stay from a once-reliable favorite.

The AC was a lifesaver in Shanghai’s heat, and I appreciated the strict no-smoking policy (no lingering smells anywhere!🤩). What truly stood out was the thoughtful layout, smart storage, a comfortable workspace, and a nice bathroom. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough, and the staff were helpful without being intrusive. Final verdict? I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a central yet serene home base in Shanghai. 10/10!

The room was very clean, and the bedding was skin-friendly and breathable, so I woke up feeling refreshed after a night's sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was neatly done and comfortable to use. The front desk staff provided very thoughtful service; check-in was quick. When I needed an extra pillow, a quick call had it delivered to my room in no time. The breakfast selection wasn't huge but sufficient, with fresh congee and side dishes that tasted homemade and reliable. Overall, it's great value for money, highly recommended for those who prioritize practicality and comfort!

The location is the suburban area of Shanghai with many food options and 2 supermarkets a stone throw away. Next to the popular Jin Qiang Beef Noodles which opens 24 hrs. Great if you prefer less touristy and more authentic neighbourhood. We took Didi everywhere and it's convenient in that sense. Room wise it was big and comfy and with thoughtful facilities. You can switch on the heater in the bathroom which is very helpful during colder months. Aircon works fine and small window could bw opened. Our room didn't come with a washing machine but there are self serviced ones on lvl 8. Hotel staff are very helpful and responsive. You can get a number from them to order Mei Tuan, and you probably have to register for Mei Tuan at the reception as a verification code will be sent to that number they gave you which u need to input on your phone. Walk around the neighbourhood and you discover authentic eats around the area.

Stayed one night at this hotel for an early morning flight. It's a great hotel, clean and tidy, with good soundproofing in the rooms and complete amenities. The shuttle service to the airport for my early flight the next day was excellent and punctual. Overall, a very good experience.

Most importantly, the location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, shopping mall, and food street, making getting around a breeze. However, the Stellar Select truly excels in service, which was evident in every detail, from concierge to check-in, skiing, and even food delivery. 2. Great value for money. The package included ski passes, breakfast, and a complimentary room upgrade. 3. The hotel facilities are quite good, with spacious rooms. The in-room closet felt very cozy, and the room's design made it feel like skiing in Xinjiang. The views from the window were also excellent. The hotel's ski rental hall provided a much better experience than the public one. 4. Breakfast was incredibly rich and high-quality. Even though there weren't many people, there was a wide variety of breakfast options, with different items each day. Fewer and fewer hotels offer fresh juice and a good selection of fruits these days, but the Stellar Hotel still provides a generous array of juices and fruits. 5. The skiing experience was good, especially on weekdays when it wasn't crowded. However, the ski resort's design details and staff attitudes could be improved. 6. There's a wide selection of food delivery options, and it's very convenient for kids to play downstairs. It's been a long time since I've given a hotel such a positive review; I'm satisfied in all aspects. If I had to pick a flaw, the hardware facilities aren't as luxurious as the Four Seasons Suzhou, but for this price in Shanghai, the value for money is truly exceptional (personal preference, and if you disagree, you're right~).
