Overall it was pleasant. Breakfast was a bit of a miss but still tasty food. Staff was excellent and the room was top notch. We have been trying out under 400Yuan specials and this ranked 7 out of 10. Location is ok but it's not that close to the airport. It's a 30 minute DD or you can wait for their shuttle service on the 3rd floor of the airport. WeChat is the 13301609593 and that would have been really helpful to list at 1am arrival at PVG. Overall we enjoyed and would recommend this place. It's better than most and worth the price.

Facilities: The bathroom sink wasn't very practical; water splashed everywhere easily. Environment: The breakfast area and lobby bar are shared and quite small. Service: The hotel service was really good. The front desk staff, especially Loretta, were very professional. She deserves a huge commendation – even on her days off, she'd message me to say I could reach out to her anytime if I needed anything. The concierge service was also excellent, promptly anticipating guests' needs, making both check-in and check-out very smooth. Housekeeping was great too; turndown service was always done by the time I returned to my room. Breakfast is a crucial indicator of a hotel's quality, reflecting its attention to detail and standards through its offerings and quality control. After I spoke with the hotel, there was an improvement the next day. The bakery items were truly outstanding; the pastries were perfectly flaky, and both the pancakes and waffles were delicious. The fried dishes also had a great texture.

The hotel environment is quite good, and I got an upgrade to a room with plenty of space and a bathtub upon check-in. However, the room was completely different from the loft room shown in the booking photos. It was on the first floor with an inner-facing window (no privacy at all, as people in the lounge could look straight in if the curtains weren't drawn), which the front desk failed to mention beforehand. The hotel advertises itself as a 'warm and welcoming stay' on its walls, but I didn't feel it at all. The service wasn't very attentive, and staff training definitely needs improvement. For example, I called three hours ahead to book an airport pick-up, and the front desk just told me to call back when I was closer. When I called a second time, they didn't tell me the pick-up point, only to wait for the driver's call, and their tone was impatient. After waiting for ages, the driver called and told me to wait for the next shuttle. The whole pick-up communication process was very disorganized. The carpet in the hallway outside the room made it really hard to drag my suitcase. I struggled a bit, and the housekeeping auntie's first reaction wasn't to ask if I needed help, but to directly ask 'What's wrong?' which was a bit speechless. The hotel offers free postcards and mailing services at the front desk. When I asked for them, the front desk told me to get them myself from a display table. But there were only two creased and marked ones left on the table, so I couldn't send any. The bathtub plug was already closed. I intended to rinse the tub and have a bath, but no matter how I pressed it, the plug wouldn't pop up. I called, and after more than 10 minutes, no one knocked on the door. I couldn't wait any longer and went to shower, and that's when they finally knocked. So, no bath for me. The in-house restaurant didn't have great service. The prices weren't cheap either (spring rolls + pork rib soup for 60 yuan). The taste was decent, but the portions were small, and the pork rib soup tasted like it had been kept warm for a while.

We were very happy with our stay at Riverdale Residence. The two-bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable for our family of five, as the unit was very spacious and well designed. The amenities were excellent and thoughtfully provided. The apartment came fully equipped with a washer-cum-dryer, microwave, oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, and a complete set of cutlery, which made our stay very convenient. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, and we appreciated having a bathtub. There was ample space to open our luggage, generous wardrobe space for hanging clothes, a full-length mirror in the living room, and a dedicated cabinet for storing shoes. The living and dining area was also very comfortable, with a four-seater dining table where we enjoyed meals that we ordered in. The location is convenient, with Xintiandi within walking distance—about a 10-minute walk if you don’t mind a short stroll. Most importantly, the service staff were exceptionally helpful and polite throughout our stay. We were very impressed by their service and hospitality. We would definitely book Riverdale Residence again if we return to Shanghai.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station and close to the MixC shopping mall. The only downside during our 7-night stay was that only one lift was operating, as the other was under maintenance. One of the best features of Atour Hotel is the laundry service. There is also halal food available near the hotel. I don’t recall the restaurant name, but it is very close and owned by a person named Musa. I had dinner there almost every night. Highly recommend! In front of the adjacent area, there is a musical water fountain with lights and music, creating a very beautiful night view.

I had an overnight layover in Shanghai and needed a hotel close to the airport for my early flight the next day. This one was perfect! It even has a kids' play area, which was super convenient. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, and we were at T1 in less than 10 minutes. The front desk staff were amazing. Vicky Zhao, in particular, saw I had my child and a lot of luggage, so she proactively helped me store the big bags on the first floor. She even specially gave me a larger room, saying it would be more convenient for my child to move around. So thoughtful!

Traveling with my family, the experience was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and patient. They saw we had a child and kindly upgraded us to a family room, which was super convenient. They even accommodated our early check-in, demonstrating excellent service. The transportation was convenient, and the shuttle service was very prompt, so we didn't have to worry about getting around at all. The entire place was clean and comfortable, making our stay pleasant and worry-free. Since we left early, they even prepared packed breakfasts for us, which was a huge help. The location is fantastic, right near the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding looked brand new. The Wi-Fi was fast and smooth, perfect for watching movies without any buffering. The AC was quiet and cooled the room down quickly. The bathroom amenities were complete, and the shampoo and shower gel smelled lovely. The best part is the 24-hour airport shuttle service. The driver was very friendly, helped with luggage, and patiently guided me to the pickup spot, even when I didn't know the way. The next day, when I needed to go downtown, they could drop me off at the subway station. The front desk even told me which platform to take and what attractions were nearby. So thoughtful! I'll definitely be back!

A very pleasant stay! We originally requested two connecting suites, but upon arrival, we were informed that none were available. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, arranging two suites across the hall and even offering a complimentary upgrade. It truly showed their professionalism and care. My parents were very happy with the comfortable environment and enjoyed a relaxing and pleasant trip in Shanghai. The facilities were also excellent — the 24-hour self-service laundry room and gym make it convenient for all kinds of travelers. This is best hotel we have stayed in Shanghai. The room size was spacious and comfortable. The hotel provided everything we needed during our stay. The service was excellent and the hotel staff were very polite and helpful. I will definitely staying here again next time and highly recommend it to our friends.
