Get this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

This is the most satisfying Zen-style hotel I've stayed at in Yangshuo! Nestled by mountains and rivers, it offers stunning, immersive views directly facing the Yulong River and its picturesque peaks. Looking out at the lotus pond is incredibly refreshing and perfect for photos! The room was clean and elegant, with a comfortable and serene Zen-inspired decor. The facilities were complete, and the soundproofing was excellent. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and breakfast was nutritious and fresh. The hotel boasts a swimming pool, a scenic tea room, and even wellness experience programs. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Yangshuo!

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The location is perfect, right within the West Street area, and it's just a 3-minute walk to the Li River, making getting around super convenient. Breakfast is provided and the quality of the food is excellent. They also offer electric scooter rentals, which is great for exploring the surroundings. The room was clean and tidy, and the hygiene was spot on. It offers fantastic value for money, the price is affordable, and overall, I had a very satisfying experience.

Must praise this store! The boss is a young boss. The store has a good good and cute kitten, and it is very cool to play the cat when resting. The whole house is well done, and all corners are cleaned up. It's much better than I thought, much better. On the first night I arrived, I lay in bed and wanted to watch dramas. I found that there was no video member. The boss immediately opened SVIP. The service is super good. The warmest thing is that I blow the air conditioner and catch a cold. I have to catch the high-speed rail downstairs the next day. I asked if there were paper towels. I smoked a few tables. I was going out to find a convenience store. The boss saw that I kept wiping my nose and took the initiative to take a pack of paper towels to me. The details are full, the service is not perfunctory, it is really comfortable to travel here, highly recommended!

I arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

The welcome amenities were a thoughtful touch – a fruit platter and drinks in the fridge, really showing attention to detail. The Sky Mirror on the top floor offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains, and the outdoor pool has an incredible vibe, perfect for photos. With the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, you wake up to a breathtaking vista of rolling green hills, like a living landscape painting. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, the afternoon tea was delightful, and they even had complimentary late-night noodles. The hotel's back door leads right to a scenic walking path, great for a leisurely stroll, and you can easily walk to Gongnong Bridge to catch the sunset. It's truly a one-stop destination for eating, staying, and playing – a complete vacation experience.

This is the most happy homestay on the road with dogs in recent years! As the host said, renovating the ancestral house to make friends from all over the world, not to make money in business. This night I met friends from Yunnan, Guangxi, and Guangdong. This friendship of rounding the table, eating together, drinking together, singing together is too unforgettable! Will come again, see you next year 👋 Environment: I envy this flower garden too much, thanks to the hard work of the host family, including the 83-year-old grandmother! Facilities: everything, the old house renovation design is also particularly ingenious, is the work of the old generation of woodworking craftsmen! Dining: Sister Yu's cooking skills are full of praise! The ingredients are exquisite, and they are now picked! Fried beef, braised eggplant, fried melon seedlings, pickled ginger silk... Looking forward to the next taste bud unlock!

All in all an extremely pleasant stay! The location is absolutely stunning. Sure, it might be a little bit off the beaten track, but the views are all the more rewarding and the hiking path from Dazhai is also highly recommended. The hotel lobby also functions as a big living room and a little restaurant run by the owners. The food is excellent and well priced (definitely try their rice wine!). Because we were there in winter and it was cold, the owners even put a small radiator under our table to make it comfortable. Generally, the owners were super nice and friendly and adding their absolutely adorable puppy, we almost couldn't bring ourselves to leave. The rooms were very clean, have a small separate bathroom and we had a small balcony with view over the rice terraces. For a more budget option there is also rooms without AC or view, in that case you can still enjoy quite a bit of the scenery from the living room downstairs or just by exploring the surroundings on foot. (The picture is shot from our balcony, but sadly some of the view was obscured by the winter mist.) We will definitely try to come again sometime in summer and are already excited thinking about staying in this hotel again.

Before my trip, I looked at many guesthouses and finally chose Ziyouniao (Free Bird). That was such a wise decision! The scenery is absolutely stunning; every photo I took looked like a masterpiece, and I didn't have to deal with crowds. The room was huge and had its own pool. The cleanliness, facilities, and service were all excellent 😎. The complimentary fruit and drinks in the room were incredibly generous, and mineral water was unlimited. If you don't feel like going out, you can have a great time just staying at the hotel. On the last day, because we were exploring a cave, we missed lunchtime, but the restaurant still provided warm service, and the complimentary beer fish was delicious. This is definitely a hotel I'd recommend to my friends.

The location of the apartment is great, plenty of restaurants, 24hrs convenient stores around the building, short walking distance to Mira Mall & Sheng's Tiandi where you can find good supermarket & lots of nice restaurants & good food places. MixC Mall, Hang Yang City & Convention & Exhibition Center are in short distance taking taxi is ~CNY10-15 & convenient, as taxi stand is just right in front of the walk way to the building. The apartment building & the unit itself are old and don't have enough maintenance, they offer the kitchen but if staying less than a month, it's almost useless as they don't provide any of the kitchenware at all, except the electric kettle, not even the proper glasses nor utensils, only 2 daily paper cups in the bathroom. Room facilities & many little things in the unit are all run down & don't have proper maintenance like door knobs, handles, shower, kitchen taps, table, etc, cleanliness is not good enough, however, the bed sheets & bedding stuff are clean enough with no smell. They offer the daily cleaning, but just floor clean, no change of anything, no drinking water provided. The amenities are very basic & few, most are disposable, better bring your own, anyhow, some requests are well responsive like we request to change the kettle, cause it is out of order, 1 additional chair as they provide only 1 chair in the unit & laundry detergent. In overall, if you don't mind and can bare those run down facilities with not good enough maintenance, it is a value for money to stay in such location in good neighborhood.
