After completing my booking, I contacted the hotel to request a waterfront room. I was fortunate that one was still available, and I truly appreciate the hotel’s effort in accommodating my request. The ocean view from the room just stunning.
Although the room is not very large, it is exceptionally well equipped-including a multicooker and a washing machine, which makes it very convenient for longer stays. A hairdryer is not provided in the room, but it is available upon request.
The location is excellent: the port and a well-known Portuguese restaurant are within walking distance. The neighborhood itself feels safe and pleasant. Overall, a very good stay.

Лодж хороший, расположение удачное, горячая вода в душе. Но. Видимо, не совсем сезон в августе, было очень холодно вечерами и безумно холодно. Никакого отопительного прибора не дали. Завтраки были очень простые. Наверное, когда другой сезон, более внимательное отношение к гостям. Но нам было безумно холодно, не вернёмся.

The Eagle's Nest Chalet was one of our most adorable accommodations in Namibia. The small cottage we were in was really beautiful and the kitchen was excellently equipped so you can feel well around.
Of course it is a little rustic, but it is perfect for the surroundings. Specially recommended is grilling at night – the hotel provides Braai plate and wood and we enjoyed it in two evenings.
The sunset and the stars are just awesome – That's something we've never seen before. On one morning we received visits from wild horses and pavians. Absolutely recommendable accommodation for nature lovers!

The location was great and the dinner overlooking the starry sky was great. The owner and staff were also very kind and told me the position of the Southern Cross with a penlight.
In addition, playing in the pool while looking at the wilderness was an experience that I couldn't do easily. I recommend it.

We had an issue with our local Namibian guide where our trip was potentially in jeopardy with our rental car being withdrawn due to the latter’s mistake
The hotel manager, Johnny was awesome in helping us to resolve the issue and the service crew, Jessica, Ruby and Moses exhibited such care and concern that our flailing confidence in Namibians was restored
We applaud Gondwana canyon resort for having such a great crew and look forward to a visit again in the near future

SSophia IsabelOur stay in the Gondwana Canyon Lodge was just fantastic – really everything has really been very good! Specially the Sundowner on the mountain is an absolute highlight and very recommendable.
The staff in the Lodge was one of the most friendly we have experienced in Namibia and has made our stay comfortable around.
One point: We had wished a quiet cottage on the edge, but we got one in the middle of the plant.
