I really liked my stay there. I do think it may be harder for foreigners to stay here compared to possibly other options as most workers do not speak English. I found it quite hard to communicate. However, I do recommend it and I personally would stay again. Especially as we overcame the challenges of communication and I was easily able to work with the staff. The bathroom and bed are amazing and I would love to use them again. The airport is only 10 yen away by taxi which is amazing and I honestly would come again.  I added two photos. One of my breakfast and another of the room while I was watching tv.

Excellent hotel, every service like it would be in central a world metropolis

Highly recommend this hotel! 1. The best thing is its location: inside the ancient city, the North Gate leads to the food street and is next to Taigu Bridge; the South Gate connects to Taiwan Road, making it super convenient to reach all the scenic spots and food areas in the ancient city within minutes! You can slowly experience the ancient city by day and night: mornings are peaceful but full of local life, where you can chat with residents and enjoy local breakfast in nearby streets to start a vibrant day; at noon, it's too hot, so head back for a nap and scroll through your phone; at 4 PM, head out to find food or a spot for coffee and just relax; evenings are all about the hustle and bustle! 2. Hotel environment: It has a courtyard design, with flowers and plants everywhere, making it a quiet oasis in the middle of all the action. It offers the warmth of a B&B with the management of a hotel! 3. Room: We chose the 3rd-floor LOFT, which gave the kids their own space. It would have been even more perfect if the view from the balcony was a bit better! The public area on the 2nd floor is also great, you could sit there all afternoon with a coffee or tea. 4. The ancient city offers a variety of snacks, so you can spend a whole day just walking, stopping, eating, and exploring 😁 Everyone can cross中山公园 (Zhongshan Park) to 青年路 (Qingnian Road) for more food! I recommend 锦群饭店 (Jinqun Restaurant); for a Cantonese foodie like me, it's right up my alley – large portions with that 'wok hei' flavor! It has that street-side stall vibe! We ate there two days in a row. Although the rating isn't high, I've included photos, so you can judge for yourselves.

Também gostei muito do café da manhã — era fresco, variado e absolutamente delicioso. Outra grande vantagem é que o hotel está localizado perto do aeroporto e de universidades, tornando-o uma escolha ideal para viajantes. Além disso, eles oferecem um serviço gratuito de traslado para o aeroporto, o que torna a estadia ainda mais conveniente. Eu definitivamente recomendaria este hotel para qualquer pessoa que visite a região!

Na praça de alimentação é conveniente comer e beber. O estacionamento é gratuito no estacionamento. O espaço de estacionamento é relativamente pequeno. Se os dois carros estiverem estacionados um pouco tortos, as portas serão difíceis de abrir e não poderão ser entradas ou saídas. A sala é muito pequena, se for bom para uma pessoa, é muito lotado para duas pessoas. A higiene não é ruim, mas sobrou um pedaço de papel higiênico na garrafa de água quente. O depósito é de 200. The hotel boasts an elegant ambiance, new and comprehensive facilities, and impeccable cleanliness. The service is warm and attentive, the location is convenient, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the value for money is exceptional – a perfect score!

The staff were very friendly and kind. One memorable moment was when I bumped into a reception staff member at the laundry area. She noticed that I was having trouble operating the washing machine. Even though I could tell she had already ended her shift, she still took the time to help me. She really didn’t have to, and I’m very grateful for her kindness. However, there were a couple of issues during my stay. On the first day, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room, which was quite unpleasant. In addition, the room heater didn’t seem to work properly. Even after switching it to heating mode, it continued to blow cold air instead of warm air. Overall, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, but I hope the hotel can improve on room maintenance and cleanliness to make the stay more comfortable.

Staying at the Kempinski Xiamen was excellent value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel kindly accommodated a late check-out request, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. I would especially like to commend Gary at the reception desk, who was outstanding: kind, efficient, and highly professional. That said, my check-in experience was somewhat inconsistent, as one staff member was overly rigid and conducted passport checks in a manner of an immigration officer, although I hold a valid residence permit. Following a brief clarification, communication became limited for the remainder of the process. Overall, however, the positive aspects of the stay far outweighed this minor issue.
