This is a wonderful Hotel. We are getting married and had our reception dinner there as well as put family up there for the night. The service, staff, food and facilities were great. Will most certainly recommend this place to anyone.

Recomendo este lugar sem reservas! O quarto privativo era melhor do que a maioria dos hotéis e os dormitórios também pareciam ótimos! Cozinha fantástica, funcionários muito prestativos. Com certeza me hospedaria lá novamente. Recomendo muito uma caminhada até o Bairro Latino para curtir música ao vivo no pub Kings Head!

In Galway for Connacht game having stayed elsewhere first night delighted to find room for extra night. From booking to arrival , all interaction with staff who were very busy was so helpful and friendly. Food ok but so busy, service staff were still so pleasant . Thank you

We stayed on the 5th of September. It's a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed everything about this place except the unbearable heat in the room. It was impossible to sleep. There was a portable fan but it was very noisy.And even when it's on, it wasn't helpful. No air conditioner. We had a very poor sleep. And no matter how much we enjoyed the gym, swimming pool, food, friendly staff and the atmosphere of the hotel, we would not stay here next time.

Nice hotel, But I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathtub. When I added hot water to the bathtub, a lot of dust and even a hair came out. I had to wash and rinse the tub several times to get it clean. I understand that hotel service is low in Ireland, but this is a 4-star hotel. The price for rooms is high for Europe. It would be great, at least nice to clean. Breakfast was great, delicious.

A retreat of a hotel. Mostly older guests, calm and peaceful. Very comfortable large room. Located in a very scenic place in splendid isolation. Food is fantastic, the staff are attentive. One night we had a harpist, really nice. Only fault is that it can be too quiet for some, but if you want to get away, relax, read a book a d chill out then it’s ideal.

Long established Hotel in the Galway Salthill seaside resort, great for a winter break looking out at the howling Atlantic, plenty of good walks, and Galway city centre a decent walk or bus away, though you'll walk it faster than the bus when the afternoon traffic ramps up. Hotel food very good, the Pier 56 restaurant food was quality. There's also a higher end menu in the main restaurant, and even tasty bar bites in old pub styled bar. Rooms are large, plain and functional, with robust heavy duty old school hotel furniture, plain painted walls. A lot of the public areas are upgraded from previous decades, the main restaurant, bar and the bistro stylishly upgraded. Room bathrooms all up to the minute. Good value for a low season stay in November. Can't fault it.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel's location is ideal—just a short walk from Eyre Square and the city centre, making it convenient for exploring local attractions and dining options. The room was spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for relaxation. The bed was particularly comfortable, contributing to a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's spa and leisure facilities. The indoor pool and thermal suite offered a great way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience. Breakfast was satisfactory, with a decent selection of hot and cold items. However, I felt that the variety could be improved to cater to different dietary preferences. Overall, The Galmont Hotel & Spa offers a comfortable stay with excellent amenities. I would recommend it to travellers seeking a convenient and relaxing hotel experience in Galway.

Location was great - you can get the bus outside into town takes 5 minutes to get to the square and walk into where the bars restaurants and shops are. The brasserie on the corner is fantastic food and service and a general spot if you’re a foodie! Quays bar is a must! Live music and atmosphere it brilliant there :) Hotel is great, clean, efficient and nice views they also have lots of leaflets and a pool table in reception along side a coffee machine and vending machine. There is a petrol station next door for any other amenities needed. All rooms were clean and had their own bathroom and kitchenette. Recommended if you come Galway to hire a car you want to drive out alongside the coast and country side - ferry tour of the Aran islands is beautiful and the drive there was out of this world! Everyone is so helpful and friendly to approach and talk too. Loved it 🇮🇪❤️

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! The private was better than most hotels and the dorms looked great too! Fab kitchen, very helpful staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend walking to the Latin quarter for the live music at the kings head pub!

GGuest UserAmazing accomodation in Athenry. We booked this accomodation because it was a 20 minute train ride from Galway and the lodge was a very short walk from the train station. We really enjoyed being at the Lodge at the Old Barracks. The accomodation had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. But what was a true highlight was the breakfast at the cafe below (included with our booking) - the food was so delicious and better than any other hotel breakfast I’ve had. Would come back just for the breakfast!!  Small note, the floor above creaked when the people moved around the room above which was a bit of a disturbance early in the morning or at night.  But overall, would 10/10 recommend!

Lovely poison by Spanish Arch and Galway west end. Room was spacious and clean breakfast had a good variety including continental and fresh fruit. Staff were polite. Overall a good stay.
