"Had a wonderful stay at KSL Hotel & Resort! The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, especially with the mall connected—very convenient for food, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were great as well, especially for families. The kids really enjoyed the pool and play areas. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. Highly recommended for families looking for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Will definitely come back again!"

"For the price that I am paying, I would say this hotel is definitely worth it. Many eateries and massage places around the hotel. Soundproofing is not the best but it didn't really affect me. 2 wishes I have are firmer pillows and self service laundry facilities. Other than that, I am happy with the stay."

"Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out."

"A primeira vez aqui e absolutamente amar o hotel Muito limpo e grande coisa As quartos eram um pouco pequenos, mas ainda muito bons. Apenas 5 minutos a pé até ao centro do vale O pequeno-almoço foi um dos melhores que já tentei em Jb. Tinha tantas escolhas. "Hotel bem localizado, ao lado do posto de imigração da Malásia. Café da manhã bom,oferece restaurante para janta(bom também). Tem academia e piscina no 1o andar. O quarto é espaçoso e estava limpo. Tem uma cozinha para preparos básicos (fogão 2 bocas e microondas). Também tem geladeira e ítens basicos de cozinha."

"A primeira vez que experimento fogos de artifício durante a noite (hari raya está à volta do canto) no conforto do meu quarto no nível mais alto do hotel - grande ponto mais. Através da rua, a cerca de 500m da praça de comptar/jb, ficam confortáveis, afastam-se da multidão do CIQ, mas também com facilidade de acesso ao local. Não há acesso Wi-Fi gratuito lá em baixo, e o frigorífico não permitiu que o meu gelado permaneça no SEU estado sólido.Aircon não é o Mais Frio, MAS há um ventilador de tecto para curvar com calor.Foram fornecidos toalhas básicas. Apreciem também o modo como o pessoal estava estacionado no portão e forneceram algum senso de segurança, especialmente se a noite for tarde."

"Service was very good, friendly and helpful front desk/reservation office. I had a request as it was my son's actual birthday on the date we checked in and the hotel kindly arranged for a complimentary slice of cake. The hotel itself is a bit dated but rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 smoking rooms on the 13th floor which had a nice view. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the fridge did cool our drinks. Usual toiletries were provided, no hand towels though. Water pressure was alright but you may need to request for a bathtub stopper (if needed) as this was missing from both our rooms. TV channels were a bit spotty, in one room all movie channels were grainy and in the other room it was actually worse, could only see a few local channels. Wi-fi signal was strong. Power points were far from bedside which is to me a major drawback as I could not charge my devices conveniently next to the bed. In one room, one of the power points did not work and we had to use the kettle power point as the other was underneath the vanity table. We didn't bother to call maintenance as we were only there for one night. Location was good, it's not in the city itself but not very far, maybe 10-15 mins by Grab. There's quite a few food outlets nearby if you're willing to walk out of the property. It's also attached to a mall but I think the duty free outlet was being renovated. We didn't really walk around the mall so can't comment. Seems a bit limited though. There's a 7-11 downstairs at the hotel itself for any snack emergencies. Lots of clubs and nightlife immediately outside the hotel but it didn't really interfere with hotel guests so that's fine. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but wasn't terrible. There was no live egg station which is always a disappointment as the pre-prepared eggs became rather dry and unappealing. I saw bread and butter pudding tag which I thought was a nice, however it was not replenished while I was there so couldn't try. Overall, I guess it's alright for the price point."

"Check in time was 3pm and we reached slightly earlier, so the receptionist told us to wait until 3. However at 3, she told us to wait another 10 mins cause the room was not ready, and she didn't even apologize for it. We ended up waiting for another 30 mins as the cleaners took so long. Room was okay but the water sound from the toilet was so loud the whole time and we didn't even have a good sleep. We also had to ask for slippers and toothbrush because they forgot about it. It's located near the marina so there was nothing to shop and see."

"I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless. The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future"

"The hotel is very cosy and accessible to various places. We had a one night stay and we had managed to sleep very well on the comfy beds. The blackout curtains are so good for those who like to sleep with no light disturbance. The only strange feedback is that the toilet sink is pretty low ( at my knee height when I am only 1.64cm tall ) and the front desk has no idea why so."
