Guest UserBenben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars?
Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so.
Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this.
Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing.

jzycnThis is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village.
First of all, you have to be able to tolerate:
1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel.
2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide).
3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it.
4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel.
5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person...
What did we get here?
1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am.
2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic.
3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic.
4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles.
5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

LalaxinWe had a wonderful stay at the Ekadolli Nubian guesthouse. As we had to leave early, the host kindly prepared a take-away breakfast, which was very thoughtful. During our stay, we were also taken on a free tour of the Nubian village, giving us a great insight into local life and culture. We even had the chance to see crocodiles, which made the experience truly unique and memorable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we felt well looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Nubian experience.

Guest UserThis hotel is truly unique. You enter by crossing a small bridge into a charming garden. The rooms are in small riverside buildings, offering an unbeatable environment. The restaurant is right by the river, so you can enjoy breakfast while admiring the Nile in the morning light – it's incredibly pleasant.
We booked a river view room on the second floor, accessible by a private stone staircase. From the open window or balcony, you can directly see the Nile.
The room's interior decoration is on par with a domestic four-star hotel – not just clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The bathroom is large and excellent. The water quality is good (the filter shower head I brought didn't show much yellowing after two days). There's a kettle, a hairdryer, and disposable slippers. They provide two bottles of water daily.
The hotel offers laundry service. It's an additional charge but not expensive, with a 24-hour turnaround. They'll iron your clothes and return them to you. The price is very reasonable; we had a large pile of clothes, pants, and socks washed for only 350 EGP.
However, **beware of the ATM in the hotel garden**; it swallowed my money when I tried to withdraw cash. There are many other ATM options, including one next to the bubble tea shop across the road.

Guest UserOut of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they gave me a ground-floor room. I seriously suspect the housekeeping staff tampered with my foundation bottle. The cap was open, and a few drops had spilled out. The more I thought about it later, the more I realized it definitely wasn't my doing. If you're staying here, I'd recommend keeping your personal items locked in your luggage! The buffet restaurant's food was mediocre, but the coffee was decent.

Nubia Hotel Review
Here are a few review options, from emotional to business-like, so you can choose the one that best suits your goals (e.g., for Booking, Tripadvisor, or social media).
Option 1: Emotional and detailed (for travel portals)
Title: Authentic Nubia: Peace and Soulfulness
This place is a true gem for anyone seeking tranquility and an authentic atmosphere. The hotel is located in a Nubian village, and from the very first moment, you're immersed in its unhurried, serene life. It's incredibly quiet and peaceful here – you only hear the birds and the rustling of the wind over the Nile.
The hotel is surprisingly clean. Despite its ethnic style, the housekeeping is impeccable – not a speck of dust or sand, even though we're in the desert. The rooms are huge, spacious, with high ceilings. Special thanks for the balcony – mornings started with coffee overlooking the river, and in the evenings we admired the sunsets.
The hotel itself is incredibly colorful: bright Nubian colors, ornaments, and distinctive design – it's a feast for the eyes and creates a great mood. The common area is decorated with immense love – it's pleasant to sit there for hours, chatting or reading a book.
But the main treasure of this hotel is the staff. Very, very friendly people, always ready to help. I especially want to mention the owner – he's a true host who cares for every guest as if they were family. It's interesting to talk to him; he'll tell you everything about the culture and give sound advice.
And, of course, the food – that's a separate art form. Everything is incredibly delicious and very filling. The breakfasts were so hearty that we had enough energy until evening. Be sure to try their fresh juices and Nubian tea – it's divine, and the coffee is excellent too.
The only nuance to consider is the internet. It's not the most powerful, but you certainly can't call it weak. We worked remotely, video calls went without serious issues, and email and messengers worked perfectly. So, it was perfectly adequate for remote work.
I would return here with great pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Guest UserWe booked two garden view rooms for our family trip. Hilariously, we checked in at 2:30 PM that day, then rushed to a scenic spot and dinner. When we returned to the hotel around 8:40 PM, our room key cards weren't even ready – incredibly inefficient. To make matters worse, there was no hot water in the rooms. The temperature had dropped significantly that day, and I was traveling with a 3-year-old and my 70-year-old mother. Both rooms had no hot water. I called the front desk, and they said they'd send someone, but we waited a good twenty minutes before a staff member finally arrived. It was clear the staff member wasn't trained; they couldn't speak English and immediately used their dirty hands to touch all the bath towels in the room. Then they just said ”five minutes” and left. We waited another ten-plus minutes with the child, and still no news. I had no choice but to call the front desk again and ask for a room change. I was told the hotel was fully booked. Desperate, I contacted Ctrip, and their overseas specialist spent a long time negotiating before the hotel finally agreed to a room change. However, by then it was past 10 PM, and our child couldn't stay up any longer. We had no choice but to give the child a quick wash and put them to bed. I've never encountered such a poorly managed hotel. I have no idea how it got a 4.9 rating. Also, the hotel's advertised free airport shuttle service is only available at 4 AM and 6 PM; all other times are chargeable. I'm writing this to save others from making the same mistake! We chose this hotel because it's part of the MGM brand, and the room decor and hardware are quite good, but the service (software) is absolutely terrible. So, our conclusion is: in Egypt, don't just look at the brand name of a hotel; as long as it's locally managed, it's a complete mess. ಢ🌚ಢ

자유여행청년Arrived late at night and checked in, then had an early morning check-out due to a tour schedule. The hotel was very accommodating and made the process completely hassle-free. It was clean and comfortable, a great place to rest even for a short while. The only minor inconvenience was the slow drainage in the shower, but other than that, everything was satisfactory.

EvonneLimOn our first night, the room was not clean. After our first complaint, housekeeping did a simple cleanup but it was still unsatisfactory. With our second complaint, a deeper cleaning was arranged, and the room was finally clean — though it was already past midnight (around 1am). The hotel staff apologized and kindly compensated us with a dinner discount, which we appreciated. Overall, we are happy with the team’s fast response and service recovery.
One small feedback: the facilities’ opening hours (spa and gym) clash with typical sightseeing schedules. Since they open late and close early, we were unable to enjoy them. It would be great if the hotel could consider extending the operating hours.
Credit to the room towel decoration. Surprises everyday we came back from sightseeing. Talented creativity of towel art.
