The B&B is close to the North Gate, so it was pretty easy to find. The owner even picked me up from Pingyao Ancient City Station late at night, which I really appreciated – it made my travel experience so much better. They carefully explained the locations of attractions and gave me a map. When I left, they even gave me some vinegar as a gift; they're incredibly warm and welcoming. Seriously, if you're coming to Pingyao, you should definitely stay here, haha! It's safe, clean, and the facilities are all there. For longer stays, they even proactively clean your room. The decor has a local flair too – who wouldn't want to try sleeping on a traditional heated 'kang' bed without any fuss? Thanks for everything, I'll definitely stay here again next time. Loved it, loved it!

The lighting design is perfect, creating a deeply relaxing and serene atmosphere. Exceptional Hospitality: From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by staff with bright, genuine smiles. Their hospitality makes the stay feel incredibly welcoming and comfortable. A Taste of Pingyao: A delightful local touch is the complimentary Pingyao Lacquer Vinegar (a famous local specialty) provided for guests to try—a unique and thoughtful gesture. A Must-Revisit: Everything about this place, from the aesthetics to the service, is top-notch. If I ever find myself back in Pingyao, there is no doubt that I will choose to stay here again. This is a great hotel, and most importantly, it's right across from the airport, perfect for a layover. We happened to arrive during the rain, and the hotel was very accommodating, arranging both airport pick-up and drop-off. If you were to walk, it's not far at all, about ten minutes. However, if you have a lot of luggage, walking might be a bit inconvenient. The hotel's hygiene is good, and the breakfast is also quite nice (the Yuncheng Braised Chicken was delicious). If you have an early flight, you can eat ten minutes earlier and still make it on time. Note: Due to the rain, I didn't get any photos showing the hotel's proximity to the airport.

Located inside the Datong old city, the inn itself is a historic building and has a history of its own. There are many interesting decors to look at in the property. The location is excellent and nearby some very good restaurants. It has a laundry room with 2 washers and 1 dryer which are very important in my opinion.The room was very nice, the cleanliness was very good and kept in very good condition. Although there was no rotating menu for the buffet breakfast each morning, the food is good and there's also beef/lamb offal rice noodles on request. The best parts about the hotel are the staff and service. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. I usually get disappointed by restaurant recommendations by hotel staff but all the restaurants recommended were excellent and not overly expensive. They could help you make a reservation (those restaurants get super busy on weekends and holidays) as well if you don't speak Chinese. We had to check out really early on the last day and the staff promptly packed us some eggs and bread for breakfast even though we didn't request it the night prior. I'm sure if you request it the day/night before, they'll be able to pack you something more substantial. I don't normally leave reviews but this property was worth my time.

Awesome! 👍🏻 We arrived late by high-speed train, and the owner drove directly to the station to pick us up. All the restaurants in the ancient city were closed, so the owner lent us his electric tricycle to go eat outside the city. Riding that little vehicle through the ancient city at night was truly a special experience, haha. As for the room, it had everything we needed, and the underfloor heating kept it very warm. The large kang bed was quite unique, and even the mouthwash cups were disposable. Since it was the off-season, the owner even upgraded our room. Although the wallpaper was a bit peeling, it didn't affect our stay at all. Moreover, right outside the inn is the owner's own travel photography studio. I'm so glad I didn't book one of those trendy shops recommended online in advance. The photo shoot here was absolutely fantastic 💖. The makeup artist was very gentle and recommended suitable hairstyles and makeup based on my face shape. I loved the photos, and there was absolutely no pressure during the selection process – completely voluntary. A perfect ancient city experience, I'll definitely recommend it to my friends!

Location: near LinFenXi High Speed Rail Station 临汾西站(10mins drive/ 20mins by local public transport to LuoGuQiaoTou 锣鼓桥头站). Best is that they provide pick-up and drop-off at HSR station, just make a call 3 hours in advance. I dont have local number, so I email them in advance before my trip, they replied my email and provide me their WeChat number so I can make reservation for the pick-up service at the station. Many local tours have pick-up and drop-off service near the hotel (junction outside the hotel), easy and convenient. Services: warm and welcoming services. Tea and drinks in the lobby, luggage storage as well. Room: clean big room, big screen TV, mini bar fridge, bathrobe and comfy king bed. Lavender shower shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, make me feel so so much relax. Laundry: laundry machine are free of charge (washer and dryer). Laundry room provide ironing equipment, books, drink as well. Definitely not get bored. Otherwise, can use phone connect their website to make a reminder while the laundry have done (so convenient). Gym Room: just opposite and same level of laundry room. Treadmill are so new. Breakfast: varieties of choice. Before that I already crave for coffee since it is not so common to find espresso in the local breakfast restaurant. Salad bar, local meatball soup, noodles, dumplings, wantons, boiled egg, fried egg, fried tomato with egg and local cooked food. So many choice and so satisfying. However they dont have egg omelette, it is fine for me. I found that even though not staying at LinFen city centre, it is still fine to stay here as the traffic here is convenient. And here is more quiet and more relax👍 The only thing I dont like is, some customer smoking in the lift and hotel lobby (even though there is a sign in the lift to advice not to smoke), definitely affecting those unlike smoking smell and sick of cigarette smell like me.

My mother and I traveled together. First, let's talk about the location. It's not far from Yongtai Gate, a 1.2km taxi ride (minimum fare), or a 20-minute walk. Getting to other gates usually costs around 10-12 yuan. We booked a double room with breakfast for 198 yuan. This room was in Building B, which seems to be the older building. It's on a lower floor, so you can only see a tiny bit of Datong Ancient City. To get a good view of the ancient city, you need to book a higher floor in Building A. Overall, the hotel is very good, and the service is exceptionally thorough and generous. On the first day, we stayed in Building B and were a bit disappointed not to see the ancient city. However, the next day, the door lock had an issue, and the front desk moved us to a higher floor in Building A – a blessing in disguise! The complimentary evening bath facilities were also great, with free sauna access and very attentive service. The breakfast was quite rich, and the staff were enthusiastic, even helping to make freshly ground coffee. On the day we checked out, the staff saw we had an elderly person with us and provided takeaway boxes for them to pack some pastries for the road, which was incredibly thoughtful. Plus, all rooms have direct drinking water, and they provide plenty of free bottled water. There's also complimentary bottled water and ginger tea available in the lobby. We would definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit.

The room was great, with a separate toilet, shower, and sink area, which was very convenient. The service was superb; as soon as we entered, the front desk offered hot tea, and after checking in, they even escorted us to the elevator. The breakfast was delicious and exactly to our liking. Our room originally came with two breakfast coupons, but because we had a child, they kindly provided an extra one. This was incredibly thoughtful for us traveling with family. The hotel also helps with purchasing tickets for the 'Encore Pingyao' show, and at a discount too!

The Wanghelou Hotel near Hukou Waterfall is truly a hidden gem, and the experience far exceeded our expectations! It's super close to the Hukou Scenic Area, and they even have EV charging stations downstairs, which was incredibly convenient for our electric car – no range anxiety at all. The hotel facilities are also excellent. They have underfloor heating in winter and central air conditioning in summer, so the temperature was always perfectly comfortable. When we checked in, our room felt a bit chilly, so we called the front desk for extra blankets, and a staff member brought them up very quickly. Their response was incredibly prompt; any request we had for the front desk was resolved right away. The service throughout our stay was exceptionally thoughtful and warm. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very attentive. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, with every detail in both the rooms and public areas being immaculate. The breakfast was also incredibly rich, with a wide variety of options and plenty to eat. It was so convenient to finish breakfast and head straight to the scenic area. Since it's in a small county near a scenic spot, I honestly didn't have very high expectations. However, this place exceeded them all – from the facilities and service to the value for money, I couldn't find a single fault. To get this level of quality at this price is truly incredible. I highly recommend it!

Close to the airport and high-speed rail station with free shuttle service, and the owner is very welcoming. The room is elegant, tidy, and features convenient smart controls.
