"Booked here as I’m having an exam at Cardiff in the early morning. Soundproof was AWFUL even though I asked for a quiet room. Even with earplugs I can hear people opening and closing the doors at 2 AM and later as people jumping (?) on the floor above. I guess I only managed to sleep 3-4 hours that night, before the exam that matters a lot to me. It was DREADFUL. I don’t understand why I was given a room just opposite to the fire door (and being sandwiched between other rooms) even when I asked a quiet room - probably because of my race? The room itself was small, without table and chairs, and without kettle. Window cannot be opened. The coffee machine in the lobby dispenses hot water for free, and staff members at reception were helpful in this case. Hygiene was fine but lime scale and grease were visible on the shower head."

"Uma estadia muito satisfatória. A localização do hotel é excelente, a apenas cinco minutos a pé da estação de trem e do terminal de ônibus, e a menos de quinze minutos do Forte de Cardiff. Há vários supermercados e restaurantes nas proximidades, o que torna tudo muito conveniente. Embora não haja muitas avaliações no Ctrip, o hotel parecia bastante movimentado quando fiz o check-in, com muitos turistas estrangeiros hospedados lá. O quarto era espaçoso o suficiente para acomodar duas malas abertas, e a cama era grande o suficiente para duas pessoas. Apesar de o hotel estar perto da rua e dos trilhos do trem, o quarto era muito silencioso: os corredores eram acarpetados para minimizar o ruído, e as janelas e paredes tinham ótimo isolamento acústico; não ouvi nenhum barulho de trem ou da rua durante minha estadia de duas noites. A janela do quarto oferecia uma bela vista da Baía de Cardiff. O quarto tinha ar-condicionado, com as funções de aquecimento e resfriamento funcionando bem. Não havia água potável no quarto, mas era possível pegar limonada gratuita no primeiro andar. O recepcionista que me ajudou no check-in foi muito acolhedor e simpático. Ele proativamente me apresentou as atividades no Forte de Cardiff naquele dia e explicou o trajeto. Infelizmente, esqueci o nome dele, só me lembro que era um jovem branco que não usava óculos. De todos os hotéis em que me hospedei durante minha recente viagem por várias cidades do Reino Unido, este tinha a equipe da recepção mais acolhedora. O único ponto negativo era que havia apenas dois funcionários no primeiro andar em qualquer momento. Este andar abriga o check-in do hotel, um restaurante, um bar, máquinas de venda automática e o depósito de bagagens, então a equipe parecia extremamente ocupada. Seja para anotar pedidos no restaurante, pagar contas, fazer check-in ou buscar bagagens, levava de três a cinco minutos para que eles viessem até nós. Os funcionários eram simpáticos e responsáveis, mas inegavelmente ocupados. Seria muito melhor se o hotel pudesse ter mais funcionários no primeiro andar."

"I stayed here for 2 nights and had such a great time. The hotel is in a strategic location in the city centre, very close to many stores, restaurants, and pubs. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent, and the room had good amenities, though it was a bit congested. Thankfully, I was staying alone, so it wasn’t an issue. There’s no parking available at the hotel, so if you’re travelling by car, I recommend parking at Cardiff Central Train Station Carpark, it’s just a 2-minute walk and reasonably priced."

"Visited here for NYE for a couple of days in cardiff with close friends and it was amazing and we all loved it. Hotel was clean, staff were super friendly and helpful and the amenities were great and got plenty of use from our party (pool,spa etc). 99/100% we will definitely be returning! "Ontbijt is matig, ze konden niet alles aanvullen soms was iets gewoon op! Vieze scrambeld eggs, duidelijk gemaakt van eipoeder, geen gekookte eieren of gebakken ei. Kamers en gebouw smoezelig. Warme kamers, gelukkig stond er een zeer stoffige ventilator. Personeel heel vriendelijk."

The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was quick and smooth. I stayed during the summer, and the room became quite warm because there was no proper air conditioning or cooling system. The TV in the room was also not working during my stay. Apart from these issues, everything else was good. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again because of its excellent location and comfortable rooms. If the cooling system and TV are improved, the experience would be even better."
