The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the city center, making it easy to get to both the ancient city and commercial areas. Parking was also convenient for those arriving by car. Great value for money! The rooms were clean and tidy, with a good separation of wet and dry areas. The soundproofing was also decent. The butler was warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions, which definitely enhanced our positive impression of Datong.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies. My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily. The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing. I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good. Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around. What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge! If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

It is two kilometers away from the ancient city of Datong. You can achieve sightseeing freedom by scanning an electric shared bicycle downstairs. If there is a laundry room for facilities, it would be great, because in summer, there are more clothes that are sweaty and not washed. There is no laundry room or drying room for long stay, the hotel can change the operation strategy. There are also bath towels that are disposable, although convenient but very thin, and the experience is not good.

A decoração interior tem aquele charme chinês, com obras de arte, uma exposição de livros, um aquário com uma coleção auspiciosa de 8 peixes grandes (carpas, eu acho), um conjunto de chá no quarto com um fogão elétrico na mesa, o que seria exclusivo para a maioria dos ocidentais. O piso de vidro adiciona um charme extraordinário, já que nunca tinha experimentado isso em um hotel antes e já viajei para dezenas de países. A pousada está bem localizada, a uma curta viagem de ônibus da Estação Ferroviária de Datong (para viagens de trem que não sejam de alta velocidade)* e a uma curta viagem de táxi da Estação Ferroviária Sul de Datong (para viagens de trem de alta velocidade)**. Fica bem ao lado da Muralha da Cidade de Datong. Você pode caminhar ao longo do topo da Muralha da Cidade sem nenhum custo. Uma caminhada de 10 a 20 minutos leva você a quase todas as atrações dentro da antiga Muralha da Cidade. The hotel is new (the TV screen protector hadn't even been removed yet) and the closets weren't fully set up. If you're arriving by car, you access the hotel via the second-level underground parking lot. Communication with the staff on Trip.com before arrival was excellent when I needed information. The rooms we chose were in the basement, but the hallway was lit by natural light through skylights. The owners don't speak English, but we managed to communicate using a translation app. They were very responsive and resolved any issues, even at midnight. The showers are a bit cramped; either the shower cabin isn't perfectly square, or in the other room, the space between the shower cabin and the sink is restricted. Housekeeping was done daily, and water bottles were provided. However, the toilet paper was supplied in very small quantities. If you ask at reception, they'll give you more, but it's always a hassle to have to go and ask when a normal amount could be provided initially. We only had one roll, which didn't seem full, regardless of whether you had a room for two or three people. The electrical outlets don't accommodate French plugs, similar to what you find in Shanghai and Beijing. There's no laundry service available. The location is good, in a new district that's still under construction. The alley leading to it at night is lovely, with the illuminated storefronts of the various houses. The hotel can arrange a paid taxi service between the station and the hotel for guests staying in the basement rooms. The rooms are well-equipped; only a few finishing touches, like bathroom caulking, are still needed.

We enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍 This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14. Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan. There are also some eating shops nearby...

Very nice capsule hostel, location is good! It was clean and well organized. Just pitty that the owner doesnt speak english. It was hard to get the check in instructions when arriving. Because you have to call the owner for the doorcode and bed number etc. I just went to local McDonald’s and they answered the phone for me. They were luckily really helpful!
