The hotel provides round-trip transfers, but you can also walk about 500 meters in 10 minutes, though it's along the road. The price for the whale shark tour from the hotel with transfer is 1000 pesos; without transfer, it's 500 pesos per person if you book on site. The rooms are spartan, with nothing but a bed and a table. There's a water heater in the shower, but it doesn't quite do its job. However, for 3,000 rubles, if you just came to see the whale sharks, spend a night, and leave, it's perfectly justifiable. The hotel has a restaurant where you can grab a bite, and nearby there's a pier with boats that can take you to a small, opposite island with white coral sand. This hotel is really just for a 1-2 night stay."

Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable."

The scenery around the hotel was absolutely stunning when I woke up in the morning, and the staff were very kind and welcoming, which made the stay pleasant. That said, the facilities were quite basic. The toilet was very minimal, the shower had low water pressure, and the air conditioner was extremely loud, which made it difficult to relax. If you're just looking for a place to rest for the night and enjoy the surrounding views, it’s fine, but don’t expect too much in terms of comfort or amenities."
