"The staffs are elderly uncles and aunties, they are super friendly, we communicate with them with simple japanese, and they can communicate with us with some english too. The room has really nice sea view, it is big and wide, with very comfortable futon in the middle of the room. The shower came with bath tub. The hotel also has free family private onsen that can be use as long as no one is using it, managed to use it on the two night we stayed there, very comfortable and relaxing. Besides that, the hotel also has private onsen with sea view to be rented. We drove rental car there, the hotel has private car park nearby to park the car."

"The hotel is located close to the Ito downtown, we were driving so it wasn't an issue. There are plenty of parking at the hotel. The ryokan is well maintained, it doesn't feel old, the onsen are properly modernized and clean. The room is HUGE which, with many functional areas, it was very pleasant room. There is also a private onsen as well for family or couples for a small fee. The private onsen has a good traditional style to it and it was open-air . There are also a chair for old people and toys for kids, so it's well thought out. Many people seems to like to have their dinner at the private eating room on first floor, so we did the same. They had one service person per 2-3 rooms maybe so we were well serviced, and the guy was very nice. I remember meeting him for dinner, and he realized we can only speak English, so the next morning when we met him again for breakfast, it looks like he made note in his notebook so he can properly introduce the dishes to us in English. I could feel the dedication so thank you to the man."

"This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!"

"The traditional hotel. Mostly of the visitors are local people. The host was very nice to me. I have tattoos and the host gave me pass to a private onsen. Will come back to this place. Also have a great breakfast with traditional sea food meals."

"Kira no Sato is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Japan, period. I’ve never stayed in a traditional Japanese style hotel but it totally blew my mind. The gardens, onsen, guest rooms, restaurants…everything’s exquisite. It is like an onsen theme park. 5-star service the minute since you got on the hotel’s shuttle bus. There’s stairways leading up to my room. Hotel staff offered to help me on their own. The room is mainly made of wood but it is kept in excellent condition. The bed is large and soft. The food beats 90% of Japanese hotels I’ve stayed in."

"Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!"

"Comfortable and modern onsen hotel with private baths in rooms, tasty and unique dinner and European style breakfast. In the room there are towels, yukata robes, some hygiene supplies except teeth brushes because the hotel tries to reduce plastic wastes. The hotel gifted a set for face and tea for a booking on a particular website. The hotel approximately in 10 mins from train station, and close to the sea."

"A equipe da recepção foi muito entusiasmada e a recepção foi muito boa. Eles explicaram claramente o que prestar atenção. As instalações de águas termais do hotel também eram boas. "A simple hotel but it has everything you need. Definitely better to stay here than in a guest house that you share with others or a small cramped capsule if you are solo travelling. The room itself was very spacious. If I come back to Ito, I will book here again."
