"I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜"

"It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!"

"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."

"Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights. It rained for the first 2 days so our moods were kind of dampened by the gloomy weather. Finally the 3rd day was quite sunny and we were thinking of leaving our luggages at the hotel tentatively after checkout while we go sightseeing around for a few hours but the hotel staff told us it was not allowed. So we had to leave Ito for Tokyo as our luggages were too big sized for the coin lockers at the lto train station. Also the hotel shuttle service is only for the period between 9 am to 1030 am at half hr interval."

"Kira no Sato is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Japan, period. I’ve never stayed in a traditional Japanese style hotel but it totally blew my mind. The gardens, onsen, guest rooms, restaurants…everything’s exquisite. It is like an onsen theme park. 5-star service the minute since you got on the hotel’s shuttle bus. There’s stairways leading up to my room. Hotel staff offered to help me on their own. The room is mainly made of wood but it is kept in excellent condition. The bed is large and soft. The food beats 90% of Japanese hotels I’ve stayed in."

"The traditional hotel. Mostly of the visitors are local people. The host was very nice to me. I have tattoos and the host gave me pass to a private onsen. Will come back to this place. Also have a great breakfast with traditional sea food meals."
