"Spacious and oxygenated family room. Comfy and large double beds. A bit outdated bathroom. I thought I had booked a Mountain View side bedroom. Technically there was a mountain but the room was parking and street side so we had some street noise at night and morning. Make sure you book a room valley side. The staff was helpful, patient and helped us plan our day! Big perks: although it is a 20 minutes walk on a large road (sometimes without sidewalk) you can walk back to the hotel from the city. Huge traffic jam during October holidays that makes it impossible to take a taxi. The hikes close by were the best we ever did in China. The children were on horses while we walked by their sides. We bought oxygen bottles and sparsely used them. It was nice though and reassuring with children to sleep with oxygen in the room."

"English review (polished & natural): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If there were 10 stars, I would definitely give this hotel all 10. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin, because everything was simply amazing. The location is very convenient, close to Shuangqiao Valley. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. The heating system works quickly and efficiently, keeping the room very warm, which is extremely important in this area. Oxygen is also provided whenever we had health issues due to the altitude — there was truly nothing missing. During our entire trip from Chengdu until arriving here, this was the first time we met a host who spoke excellent English. She was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. Her husband even drove us around after our original booking was already completed. For the next day, I had booked another hotel. Although the room rate was higher, their conditions were unreasonable, and they even refused to provide transportation. Because we are not familiar with the local language, the owner of ShanShangShan Hotel and her husband went out of their way to help us and communicate on our behalf. In the end, ShanShangShan was the one who took care of us and gave us a ride. Now, as I am lying in another hotel writing this review, I truly regret not staying longer at ShanShangShan. The food here was also delicious, and the chef was extremely friendly and lovely. We felt incredibly comfortable, happy, and relaxed during our stay. Every corner of the room was carefully prepared, thoughtful, and very convenient. This hotel is not just a place to stay — it genuinely feels like being taken care of."

"The snow-capped mountains at 9 AM were absolutely stunning! No need to get up early to chase the sunrise; it truly lives up to its nickname, ”Little Switzerland of Western Sichuan.” After searching for ages, I finally found a courtyard hot spring bath with a view. And it's a private courtyard bath for each guesthouse, so you won't be disturbed. The guesthouse has its own restaurant where you can enjoy local cuisine. As a Cantonese person coming from a city in the twenties (Celsius) to the sub-zero Western Sichuan plateau for the first time, I absolutely had to have some braised yak meat and matsutake chicken soup to warm me up. Soaking in my private courtyard hot spring bath in -8°C weather, gazing at the unbeatable snow-capped mountain scenery—this is what it means to have your eyes in paradise! Even at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, there's no need to worry. The guesthouse has oxygen cylinders and oxygen bags. Although it was my first time at such a high altitude, I felt mild altitude sickness, which was manageable. Especially when I felt unwell, taking a walk in the courtyard and breathing in the negative ions of nature made me feel much better! What's best about the guesthouse is the scenery; it's truly my ideal utopia. Every view from the room is a perfect shot. You don't need to spend money to go to tourist attractions to see snow-capped mountains, meadows, yaks, horses, and donkeys. Coming here to relax is incredibly therapeutic."

"One of the most incredible hotel we have stayed in! Breathtaking and excellent views of Siguniang mountains and a stream from the moment you stepped into the lobby. The rooms are exactly as advertised, with zero obstruction of the snowcapped mountains - spectacular views from the room windows! We were worried that the pictures from the booking page would differ but it was exactly the same. The hospitality at the hotel was top notch, extremely bespoke to one's comfort and at the same time very homely and warm. We even got a free upgrade to the best rooms in the property and they even took the effort to celebrate one of our birthday which happened to coincide with our stay. The two hotel owners (张哥和冷哥), as well as the staff treated us like family, with lovely meals at the hotel (their breakfast noodles were yummy!), recommendations on how best to tour Siguniang mountain valleys and even bringing us to the local convenience stores in the nearby town. Do not hesitate to reach out to the owners to arrange for a horse to be brought to the property for a photoshoot - the pictures on a horse with the mountains in the backdrop are stunning! All in all, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone who wants a relaxing get away with jaw dropping views of Siguniang mountains and the best hospitality that Sichuan can offer!"

"I don’t usually write good reviews, but this homestay on this trip to Western Sichuan is simply great. They opened their new store. The host’s sister was very enthusiastic. We arrived late at night. The host’s sister waited patiently for us and prepared good night milk for us intimately. Because it is the off-season recently, we also specially upgraded the room with private soup. I specially noted that the room should be clean and clean. I returned to the room at night. It was really comfortable, and this private soup was really big. I completely removed my fatigue. I focused on the bedding. It was very comfortable. I slept until dawn, and their breakfast was also a big praise. If I have the opportunity to come to Xiaojin next time, I will definitely stay at their home."

"The hotel is located just 700 meters from the Changpinggou entrance, a 15-minute walk. Breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea are included. The hotel arranged transportation to the Shuangqiaogou entrance and back. The front balcony offers beautiful, European-like views. The hot tub has privacy curtains. The hotel also helped arrange a private taxi back to Chengdu, but the driver was quite fast and a bit scary."

"This hotel exceeded my expectations! Even at an altitude of around 3300 meters, the diffused and nasal oxygen supply made breathing completely effortless. The hotel's setting is absolutely stunning, like a 'sky city' on the edge of a cliff with endless scenic views. There are so many great photo opportunities, often with rain, fog, and snow appearing together! 👍 After a shower in the evening, I was lucky enough to witness a double rainbow 🌈🌈 rising from the clouds in the mountains – what a thrilling and auspicious experience! The hotel service was excellent; the butler group was always responsive and communicative, making us feel very well taken care of. The in-room Bluetooth speaker was also fantastic, allowing us to enjoy pleasant music while admiring the beautiful sunrise and sea of clouds from the window. Both the hot pot and Chinese dishes were delicious, and returning from the scenic area felt just like coming home. The sunrise views were breathtaking for two consecutive days. Fantastic! 👍🌙"
