Leshan Homestays

We initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

This hotel is small, takes a little bit to locate it. But once you are there, it is very likable. A short walk from the ”Zero Kilometer” it's location is excellent. In a small hillstation, it is also close to convenience stores and a small shopping dining area. While it looks good in photos, the bath tub in the room itself is not convenient. Maybe could be an attraction for honeymooners. The Boss and his wife are helpful and kind. Complimentary breakfast is basic but enough. Though keep your mobile translation software ready, because there's no other language spoken but Mandarin. But this review would be incomplete if I did not mention on how to get there. Take a ”C” train from Chengdu East to Emeishan Station (roughly one hour) and then take a shuttle bus to Zero Kilometer (roughly 90 minutes). There are helpful tourism counters at the Emeishan Station to guide you. From the plains into the hills is quite a drive through the winding roads.

Xiao Zhou and his colleagues provided us with exceptional service during our one-night stay at the hotel! They were very nice and friendly, attentive to our needs and requests, and chatted with us in an open and welcoming manner whenever we inquired about aspects of the local environment, Mt Emei, etc. We had dinner at the hotel during our stay and ordered the chef's recommendations. The food was AMAZING and so fresh. The fish and chicken dishes that we had came from live fish and chicken that they reared within the hotel compound. If they were a local restaurant back in my country, I would frequent them without a doubt, and would love to bring my friends to try their cuisine. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, Xiao Zhou even brought us to take a look at the hotel's chicken coop and fish pond. When we had to leave for our hike to Mt Emei's summit, Xiao Zhou and his colleague kindly drove us to the nearest bus station so that it would be easier for us to access Mt Emei's public transportation, a gesture which we appreciated a lot! All in all, their attentiveness to us, good manners, and warm and friendly dispositions all contributed to a memorable stay. Of course, the rooms themselves were spotless and comfortable. Would love to come back here in the future!!

Second time staying here. Amazing location, right beside the tourist buss to go to Emeishan. I was a bit disappointed to find out my room didn’t have a heater but the bed heater was great and kept me nice and toasty. The rooms are very specious and the staff are always kind. The hallway carries sound but it quiets down at a reasonable time.

這個暑假帶娃來峨眉山度假，入住了峨眉山觀景温泉湯屋，真是一家讓人驚喜的寶藏酒店！酒店位置非常方便，就在報國寺客運中心旁邊，出行省心又省力。自助早餐特別豐富，也可以送到房間，更讓人放心的是美食村餐廳採用明廚明灶，食材和製作過程一目瞭然，帶孩子吃得很安心。酒店還提供周到的接送站服務，為我們減輕了不少行李搬運的麻煩。整體體驗非常愉快，強烈推薦給計劃家庭出行的朋友們！

O hotel é muito útil e oferece todos os serviços que você precisa.O motorista dele nos pegou e nos deixou na estação ferroviária de alta velocidade Emeishan gratuitamente (o hotel está a 20 minutos de carro nas montanhas). Para um pequeno custo adicional, eles também nos transportaram para e do serviço de autocarro de emei Mt (20 minutos de carro). Our stay at this inn in Leshan was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the kindest and most earnest lady welcomed us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. She gave us amazing tips for dinner and visiting the Giant Buddha, which made our trip so much smoother and more enjoyable. The inn itself is a true gem. The rooms were spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed, with heated beds and toilets that were perfect for the cool weather. Not many hotels out there with heated beddings and toilet seats. Not only that there is good heating with a radiator together with an air conditioner. The outdoor garden was another highlight—beautifully maintained and filled with fresh, vibrant greenery. It was such a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the morning air. What made the stay unforgettable, though, was the lady who runs the place. Her warmth and dedication are unmatched. Even when we tried to tip her to thank her for her hospitality, she gently refused, saying she was just grateful for each guest who stayed. If you’re visiting Leshan, this inn is a must. Between the cozy amenities, beautiful garden, and heartfelt service, it’s the kind of place that leaves you with wonderful memories. We can’t wait to come back!

Pequena pousada com restaurante no térreo (veja a foto em anexo). Ao lado do terminal do ônibus que leva ao teleférico. Banheiro pequeno com chuveiro quente. É preciso ter cuidado para evitar que a água da chuva escorra pela porta e molhe o piso do quarto. Sugere-se a instalação de uma pequena barreira na entrada inferior para evitar que a água danifique o piso de madeira do quarto. Um gesto simpático foi acordar os hóspedes para o nascer do sol e oferecer o uso gratuito de uma bengala de caminhada. Essencial para a caminhada de 20 a 30 minutos até a estação do teleférico. A pousada ao lado está em reforma das 8h às 17h. Não é um problema, pois você subirá a montanha nesse horário.

We arrived quite late at the hotel but the room was still ready and laoban very available. Room is clean, well installed and the bathroom is enjoyable. I recommand.
