Prime marrow bone. 🦴 Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course. The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building. In winter. On ice. With wind that slaps. Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up. To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾 Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc. The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸 Then there’s the hot spring schedule. Opens at 13:30. When the mountain is closed and the hot spring is closed what exactly is an old dog meant to do? Stare into the snow? Question life decisions? Age visibly? Ah yes — write this review. ✔️ ⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly. Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus. At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for. It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs. Trip.com, if you’re listening: no guest should ever be pressured to review. The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative. This old dog is an independent reviewer. I don’t bark on command. I don’t roll over for stars. And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle. Arriving in Erdaobaihe by car, I checked into this hotel and the front desk service immediately earned a perfect score. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, the front desk remotely guided me to a parking spot, saving me from driving around unnecessarily. During check-in, the staff patiently explained local Korean ethnic cuisine recommendations and even helped us plan a mountain entry route that avoided backtracking. Due to the significant temperature difference between morning and evening, the front desk thoughtfully provided hot water. When I suddenly needed to print my mountain entry voucher, they printed it for me free of charge, demonstrating incredibly high efficiency. Communication was smooth throughout my stay, and the staff were always polite and accommodating, ready to help with anything. Their warm and reliable service made my trip to the scenic area completely stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel, largely thanks to the front desk's thoughtful and meticulous service.

Room The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with the added convenience of a heater in the washroom—a definite plus point, especially in colder weather. 3. Hospitality The owner, Mr. Feng, and his staff, especially Mr. Xia, along with the rest of the team, are gems. They are extremely helpful, and their intention to assist guests is genuine. They provide support with a smile and never show any reluctance. Their efforts made our stay both comfortable and memorable. 4. Assistance and Arrangements Mr. Feng and his staff went above and beyond to make our trip seamless. They arranged transport to Xue Li Mountain and helped us purchase tickets at a reasonable price. Mr. Feng even accompanied us to a restaurant to introduce us to a new dish, which was a delightful experience. The next day, Mr. Xia helped us buy tickets to Changbai Mountain (Heavenly Lake). He also ensured we were dropped off at the bus station and picked up later, making the process entirely hassle-free. 5. Farewell This hotel holds a special place in our hearts. On our departure, they dropped us off at the railway station early in the morning. Mr. Feng himself joined to bid us farewell, which touched us deeply. 6. Final Thoughts Their hospitality reaffirmed our faith in humanity. The kindness, care, and genuine efforts of Mr. Feng and his team made this stay unforgettable. Love and gratitude to all of them!

Erdaobaihe is a really sweet, cozy little town. Although it’s not located in the main town area, it is just opposite the beautiful pine forest, which makes the surroundings very peaceful. There are free buses available to travel within the town, which is very convenient. However, as we can’t read Chinese, we mostly relied on Didi instead. Getting a Didi can be a bit challenging due to the limited number of drivers, but as long as you’re willing to wait 5–15 minutes, you should be able to get one. The people in the town are very warm and welcoming. We visited Enduli, and it was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The morning view from our room was magical. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet with a heated seat, which was a nice touch. There was a small issue where we found a strand of hair on the bed when we opened the bedsheet. We didn’t make a fuss as I had my own disposable bedsheet prepared. Despite this minor incident, the overall stay was wonderful. What really made this place special was Aunty Wu. She was always there for us and even woke up at 6am just to bid us goodbye. When we were looking for laundry services, she kindly offered to wash our clothes in-house. With my OCD, I was especially touched that she even warmed my laundry bag for me - such a thoughtful gesture. Will definitely be back

The room is so so cute. It was a really nice and comfortable stay. The room has all that one needs and it’s practical and functional. The beddings are clean and comfortable. The design is well thought out. I enjoy spending time there. Tianchi was not open the whole time I was there so I spent a bit more time in the room and it’s nice! The owner and family are very friendly and helpful as well. They help as much as they can even though I asked so many questions. They’re quite attentive to their guests. I was a bit down because of Tianchi but they made it a good time nonethelss! I bought breakfast separately for the days I want to eat and they have nice sets of breakfast. There is a washing machine and a dryer and they’re quite busy. Still, it’s very convenient. The location is in walking distance to the Reindeer park, duck park, and distribution center too. So that’s a plus. It’s about 1-1.5 km away from the busy streets and the food. If you can’t hail a ride, it’s still possible to walk (though it’s very cold). It was a lovely stay and I loved the place!

I had a wonderful stay at Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel! The hotel is very affordable, making it a great option for budget travelers without compromising on comfort. What really stood out was the owner’s incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the owner went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. They provided transport from Changbaishan Station to the hotel and even offered to take us to local attractions at no extra charge, which made exploring the area so much easier. The photos below show the owner fetching us to the attractions, which was such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is located right in town, so it’s very convenient. There are many food options nearby, as well as a convenience store, which made grabbing snacks or essentials very easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment of the hotel was welcoming and cozy. The owner is truly a kind and thoughtful person, always ready to help and ensure guests have a smooth and pleasant stay. I felt really looked after throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with excellent service, a convenient location, and a personal touch, I highly recommend Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel. The combination of affordability, hospitality, and convenience makes it an outstanding choice for anyone visiting the area.

The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel. Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel. Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts. Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!! Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen. Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea. In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb! I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too! The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team! They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

The room is new, clean, and has no cigarette smell. Luggage storage is available. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Zhongyang Street, near a famous ice cream shop and a tasty mala sausage stall. The area at the end of Zhongyang Street is beautiful and less crowded. I would stay here again.

This guesthouse is conveniently located right at the end of the Daquan River rafting experience, making it super easy to head back after your adventure. The staff is really helpful and will arrange taxis for you if you want to go out for food or other activities. They even organize carpools for longer trips to places like Yanji or Xue Ling. The owner is a great person! Our room was very clean and tidy, and we had a really comfortable stay. You can even step right outside and play in the snow, offering a truly immersive experience.

Good location in up and coming new development suburb, away from the city crowd. Public bus#2 ply outside hotel is a plus factor. Walking distance to the numerous food outlets ( especially Korean). Hotel travel desk staff helpful in mountain trip bookings. Hot breakfast food is palatable. Must try the package of Hot Spring pool after the mountain day exploration. Spacious room/apartment and support staff from counter to butler service is commendable.
