Good location, train station is just opposite.
Nearby also have many F&B.
Cleanliness is good.
Room is not very spacious, it makes me think of Shinjuku Washington Hotel size.
But service is very good, more friendly, and they help us to move the luggage up to our room straight after our bag hv transfer via luggage transfer service.
So when we reach hotel, we just need to check in and go up straight.
There's washing machine and dryer provided with fee, however is a small one.
The lobby is very nice and comfortable.
Will consider to stay here again if I visiting Nagano.
This is our first time to ski Japan. This hotel was located perfectly with great access to some super beginning facilities. Good enough about skiing, the hotel is perfect and the staff is amazing. The food and amenities are excellent. We had a private hot spring every evening really added to the enjoyment. My wife and I and eight year-old daughter had a great time you so much for the great experience and all the hospitality Perfect Stay. 100%!!!
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We visited in early November 2025 during the autumn season, and the beautiful foliage added such a romantic touch to the surroundings.
I loved the modern interior, the comfortable bed, and the overall room layout. The hotel looks incredibly romantic at night too, especially with the reflections on the pond.
The outdoor onsen was a highlight. It felt serene at night, and the maple trees lit up in the evening made it absolutely scenic. The onsen is located in a separate building, so you do have to walk through the cold, but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel provides thicker robes. If I had to nitpick, the indoor slippers weren’t the most comfortable.
We drove during our stay, so getting to nearby attractions was easy. There’s a large supermarket and a pharmacy about 5–10 minutes away, which was very convenient — we didn’t even need to visit any convenience stores.
This hotel impressed me so much that it made me look up where else Hotel Indigo has branches in Japan!
Viajando com 2 adolescentes. Este não é um lugar adequado para eles. Faça o check-in às 15h.
Fonte termal: externa e interna.
Eu ainda aprecio o serviço e a experiência.
A best hotel in that part of areas and a best host of the hotels over there. A Chinese owner with a group of polite and helpful Chinese staffs assisting the guests in whatever ways they could. There is also a ski resort just next to the Hotel and you can see the ski lifts passing by the hotel window from the restaurant. A comfort and cosy place to stay.
I chosen Cottage A to stay in. While there is nothing much to complain about the cute cottage, personally it is a bit too small for me.
But nice environment, good and helpful staff and a very convenient shuttle system to bring you around.
You can also call an internal shuttle service that can ferry you from your cottage to the newer West hotel for their buffet breakfast. Otherwise you can eat at the East Hotel for either a Japanese meal set breakfast or a Western style set breakfast. The bread is really good and soft. The outlet shopping mall is accessed by their half hourly shuttle bus and you can do your premium shopping there and eat at their various restaurants or at their food court style food outlets.

YYangmiemieaichilingshiMy stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It offered a completely different vibe compared to hotels in central Tokyo. The moment I arrived, I felt like I was on vacation. The design is unique and tasteful, not at all ostentatious, blending beautifully with Karuizawa's natural surroundings. The room was more spacious than I expected, and the balcony offered a great view; waking up and opening the curtains in the morning really brightened my mood. The bedding was very comfortable, and it was quiet at night, leading to excellent sleep quality. The onsen (hot spring) and public areas were also a big plus; after exploring Old Karuizawa, a soak there completely unwound me. The staff provided natural and unobtrusive service, yet they were always there to help when needed. Overall, it's a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the pace of Karuizawa for a night or two. If I come back, this hotel will definitely be my first choice again.
GGuest UserThe English of the lobby staff was mediocre, and the restaurant waiter didn't know much about French wine, even serving French white wine in a sake cup 😅. However, they were genuinely dedicated to serving guests 💕. There's a definite need for more training for the restaurant staff, especially regarding sommelier services.
JJinye28Traveling with two others, we booked the West Wing for its convenient location. It's a cabin in the woods, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up in the forest, with few people around and fresh air, felt like having the whole beautiful landscape to ourselves – truly amazing!
However, the bathroom facilities are quite old, and showering wasn't very convenient. If you're visiting in winter, definitely book a room with air conditioning; just having heating might not be enough, as it could still get cold.
For getting around, the hotel offers a shuttle bus with three routes: one to the outlet mall, one that goes back and forth between the cabins and the main hotel building, and another route that I haven't tried yet (haha). If you're unsure about anything, you can always ask the front desk. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Karuizawa!
__szair0313****The best part about this hotel was definitely the breakfast – they had everything from Japanese to Western options. I especially loved the soba noodles and the fried eggs. The coffee was good too, and they offered various egg rolls. The room itself was quite spacious; we had no trouble fitting our two large suitcases. However, the bathroom was a bit small, feeling somewhat disproportionate to the rest of the room. The other hotel facilities were pretty basic; there wasn't much to attract us beyond just needing a place to sleep for the night. Because of this, paying over 3100+ per night (including breakfast) felt a bit expensive.
GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel. The public onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, and while the facilities were clean, the area was a bit small. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and the environment was quiet. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended!

LLuguokankanreThe room terrace during the autumn foliage season is truly dreamlike, beautiful in different ways both at night and during the day! It's worth coming just for the terrace and garden alone!
A special highlight was leaving a note on Trip.com hoping for a room on the second floor. I didn't have high hopes it would be seen, but they actually arranged it!
The service attitude is excellent. After arriving at Karuizawa Station, you can call the hotel to pick you up, and they're very quick, arriving in about 5 minutes.
The only minor drawback is that there was a noticeable humming sound in the room, whether it was the heater or some other machine running. It was loud enough that I could still hear it even with earplugs in. I tried turning off all the appliances I could find in the room, but it was still there. At the time, I thought maybe I was just too sensitive to noise, but there was no such sound at the other hotel I stayed at the next day.
GGuest UserWe stayed for two nights on a family trip. The hotel is a luxurious establishment with three hotels, a chapel, and a wedding reception hall on a vast site of 230,000 square meters, and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time. The breakfast buffet and French dinner were delicious, and the service was excellent. There was also a large hot spring bath, and there was plenty of greenery, so it was a pleasant walk. I recommend staying two or even three nights instead of just one.
