I stopped here one night with friends for my birthday. The hotel is easy to get to, and the location is excellent as it’s located on Broad Street, near Brindley Place which hosts a wide range of bars and pubs. So if you’re visiting Birmingham to have a drunken, night out or a special occasion then this hotel is perfect. There’s also parking on site behind the hotel which is very handy, unfortunately the car park isn’t discounted for guests stopping in the hotel. After waiting in a small queue, we attempted to check in at 14:30 (half hour earlier than check in ‘opens’) we were told the room wasn’t ready. Which wasn’t an issue as they had luggage storage available. We can back to check in at 16:00 and the queue was horrendous. I’ve never seen a queue as big as this to check in for a hotel before. We waited for 20 minutes until we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Although there were coffee cups left behind the curtains upon entry. The bathroom was very modern and had a walk in shower. The beds were unbelievably comfy and had plug sockets by the side of the bed which is a massive plus as not every hotel has this. Luckily, it was a quicker process checking out as you can just pop your keys in the ‘express checkout box’. Overall, a comfortable night stay in the heart of Birmingham, unfortunately the check in was horrific.

Shane was really helpful in suggesting food and drinks and it was a nice, relaxed environment at the bar for our food. The food was well presented and tasty. The superfood salad was really nice. Definitely have the extra chicken. The desserts were also excellent. Sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie were also great. Would recommend it for a relaxing drink and food. Great service. Shane and Jessica were really nice.

Had gone here for a night. The room I was given was nice and spacious but the air on wouldn't work. So I was moved to another room which was smaller, felt like I was downgraded to a smaller room. If only they could give me the same spacious room that I booked with a working air con would have been great.

Friendly staff with clean rooms.The kitchenette was good together with a fridge and a washing machine. It took 15 minutes walk to the Birmingham New Street Train Station with up and downs along the road. However the hotel was located near the canal and the Central library. Restaurants and bars were easily found close to the hotel. Recommended when the budget is your concern.

Paid for a king superior room that transpired to be smaller than a Premier inn room. It was room 111 with 2 of the 3 sealed double glazed blown with internal condensation . There was just enough room to walk around the bed,. If you want to watch TV then you’ll be watching it from your bed either sat on the end or sat up on it. There’s a fixed desk with 1 chair pushed under it as directly below the TV. Reception said it was correct .I got conned the photos advertising this property and won’t be returning here again

Good central location with basic amenities provided. Could use some additional cleanings within the room as dust spotted at various spots but good value for money nonetheless.

Room was clean and tidy, good value for the money. A good variety of TV channels and free WiFi, you can purchase films at £3.50 each but the selection could be bigger, and in this day and age I think £3.50 to watch a film is a but steep. Was surprise I had to pay for parking when I arrived at the hotel, a token should be given to guests for free parking. I could of driven straight out of the parking area as the barriers were not working, which the hotel knew about but still wanted me to pay the £6.50 for our overnight stay. Hotel reception, bar and restuarant was nice and modern but we only had one drink in the bar due to the prices, Pint of Heineken and half a coke was just under £8, so being just a 5 min walk into the town centre and 2 local pubs just a minutes walk away, we decided to eat out and drink out, saving ourselves a lot of cash. I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but the prices for food were just too high for a hotel restuarant, and nothing on the limited menu that my 13 year old daughter liked. This is a large hotel, so I think it would be good for management to extend there food menu for family's and at reasonable prices, even if it's just the bar menu. Opposite the hotel there are numerous outlets, restaurants, take away pizza, kebabs etc. Hotel is in a great locations. If you like playing pool, there is a Rielys pool bar 100yards from the hotel. Would I stay again? Yes I would, staff were friendly, hotel was clean, had a good night sleep, bed was comfy, shower worked fine, large TV, great location, local shops outside, walking distance into town, my only issue really, was that we had to pay for parking at the hotel, to stay at the hotel, I personally don't think that's ok.

The location is very handy for the centre of town, train station etc, however, to access the hotel you had to use an underpass system which I certainly wouldn't have liked to use at night ,on my own. The receptionists were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room was cleaned every day. The food from the restaurant was of a good standard and the dining room itself is attractive. The bar was fun.

This hotel is by far one of the most outstanding hotels in Birmingham city. The state of the art spa and gym most definitely contribute towards this factor; especially because of the intricate modern take to the architecture and interior design of the property itself. The service that I revived was top tier, the employees were always very polite and helpful you can truly see they are dedicated to providing memorable experiences to their guests. The hotel itself is beautifully kept with cleaner spotted 24/7 across the premises. !DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for 2 nights, on the fifth floor, with a 2 year old toddler. Overall our stay was ok, the apartment had what we needed, was well located and noise was minimal at night. Cleanliness was ok but could be improved eg stains on armchairs in living room, dust on shower curtain rail. Good range of items at breakfast. However a couple of issues we flagged to reception: At the breakfast buffet on our last morning, I filled up my toddler’s milk cup with milk from the fridge, before passing it to another guest, and then filling up his cereal with the same bottle. Luckily, before he’d drunk much of the milk, the other guest came over to tell me she thought the milk was off and had seen me fill up a sippy cup with it. My husband tasted it and confirmed it was sour and fizzy. I went to check the fridge and there were several bottles of milk that had gone past their clearly stated sell by dates, including one that didn’t have a cap on. I immediately told breakfast staff who had been moving bottles around with ample opportunity to check dates, and didn’t receive an apology. Later we told reception, they apologised but no remedial action offered. Had the other guest not informed me, my son and other guests could have been very sick. Staff need to be trained to check sell by dates on items at offer at breakfast, before putting them out for guests to use. We had another issue with the travel cot supplied, it didn’t have a proper mattress, just a folded up board. Reception did offer to bring up towels/sheets to fold and act as a mattress but I thought this was poor. We ended up buying a travel cot mattress for our stay. These combined issues affected our stay so can’t give more than 2 stars.

Found left a cable in my room after checkout. Ask a friend to help me to check at the reception. However just be told there is nothing left. Yes, “no” could save a lot of trouble compared with saying something else like let me check with the cleaner.

01. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown (L). 02. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there. 03. I had a wonderful experience at the (HN). Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

the staff is amazing!! there was a nice young man was glasses on I didn't know his name but he helped me with getting me and my partner coffees we had a laugh with him too him, Dora and Sarah made us feel so welcome the food was so lovely aswell we will defiantly be staying here again thank you

I originally booked the hotel for only two nights. I felt it was cost-effective, the room was clean and comfortable. So I booked another two nights. If you come to Coventry, this hotel is definitely a good choice.

Really had high hopes at first glance this hotel has so much promise, being from Coventry originally I'm so glad this iconic building has been transformed and I will say it's been done well in parts however the reason for my star rating is the following. I'm on my second night of two and sadly had to move rooms. I had Room 27 first walk in was a huge Big Double you could easily use this as a family room it was that spacious, the downside and I would soon find out is this room is a connecting room and unfortunately I had very loud neighbours to which let's say I could hear everything. I'm also not the only person too mention this on their reviews. I had to complain about the noise during the night and again in the morning. Room 27 I sadly also found the bed far too soft and had around four hours sleep. Worth a mention that Room 27 over looks the courtyard and again I found that to be quite loud. I'm already feeling drained having travelled 1000's of miles to attend a family funeral. I'm now in Room 315 and what a let down. This is not a Big Double. It has the same lovely touches that go into detail of the hotels history however the room is so small. It's not a connection room and is a corner room which is one thing. I've tried to sleep and can't again the bed is not to a great standard honestly I find premier inn have better quality beds and if it wasn't booked I would of happily of gone there tonight. Upon check out I'm going to ask for a 50% refund and won't settle for less as having no sleep goes along way for anyone during any hotel stay. I would rate the breakfast as 3 / 5 i t was nice enough but nothing special. The staff are friendly enough but sadly with no sleep and some rooms not what you think your getting ie Room 315 is definitely not a Big Double I do feel sold out and I'm just disappointed and drained. Dreading my journey home tomorrow now with no sleep. I will add sense writing this as I booked through a third party and raised my complaints I was spoken too on the room phone by a Manager who had informed me my third party had spoken too them and wanted to know what my complaint was. Once I informed them of the noise and bed quality of both rooms ie the beds they snapped down the phone to me that this is a new hotel and the beds are new. They wouldn't be issuing a refund and basically my complaint was shot down. I have worked for over 25 years in the hotel trade even owning my own business of running successful hotels and bnbs. None of my staff would speak down to a customer in such a manner. They did end the call with see how I get on if I can sleep and speak to them in the morning however my mind is made up. This hotel is being run by monkeys who couldn't manage to peel a banana, let alone run what is meant to be a 4 star hotel. It's a 3 star over all at best with no pool, the poor quality of beds,lacking an average breakfast, is not that of any four star hotel I have been at or run successfully. One night stay in a superior premium room with queen bed. Great location just off motorway. Car parking free to hotel guests. Friendly and welcoming lady on reception. Room was clean and comfortable and slept really well with no noise disturbance at all. Had an evening meal and breakfast. Food was good and restaurant was clean and spacious. What really made our stay so remarkable was the fantastic staff. A very polite young man who goes by the name of “T” (he said his name was too long and difficult to remember) was working in both the bar and restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always smiling and he never stopped working. The lovely man in charge of the restaurant for the night was called Fadika. He was so professional and attentive. Again, nothing was too much trouble for him and he genuinely wanted guests to have the best experience possible. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Excellent value for money and great service.

We were able to check in at 3.00pm. Room was very nice, slippers and robes provided and the tea/coffee facilities had the added benefit of a coffee machine. Bed was very comfy and warm with lovely pillows. Breakfast was good. Everything there that you would expect, cooked well and hot. We were a little disappointed though on the morning of departure when we attempted to get the lift down to reception only to find when it arrived that the maids trolley had been placed in there so we had to use the stairs. This caused a problem for my husband who suffers with his hip. Secondly, on leaving we were not informed that the barrier was open. We saw the sign in the car park saying we needed to get a token from reception, so we drove back and went in to reception to ask, only to be informed we didn’t need one. It would have been helpful to have had this information on checkout. Other than this everything else was good

Huge hotel. Food average. Clean and helpful staff. Nice big room over looking the pitch . Comfy bed and pillows . Shower not very powerful. Doors wouldn’t open onto pitch which was a shame. AC noisey so couldn’t use it. Conference room too hot and AC was ineffective

The hotel is in a really good location and is clean! The room is a good size and has everything you need from tea and coffee an iron and a hair dryer. The staff at the front desk are very friendly. The only problem I had was that every where in the hotel was very hot the room does have air con tho so once your in there it’s ok. We would stay there again

I experienced excellent customer service when I had a booking query. I had cause to change my booking and when I called the staff answered promptly and were very friendly and helpful which was very much appreciated.

We recently hosted a 20th Anniversary Ball at the Mount Hotel. This event was booked 12 months ago and we had an initial meeting with Sabrina, the Sales and Events coordinator. From the onset she has been brilliant and always available to discuss our requirements. We cannot thank her enough for her hard work ensuring our evening went according to plan. We had a number of changes during the planning stages and these were dealt with efficiently. The event itself was a huge success and this is down to hosting it at such a beautiful venue. The food served on the evening was perfect, everyone's individual dietary requirements were adhered to perfectly. It was served hot, which is difficult to achieve when there are 120 guests, but it was no problem for the staff at the Mount. On the evening we were looked after by Siri. He ensured that the evening ran smoothly. His timing for all things was perfect and we were kept informed of everything. We cannot thank him enough. We have nothing but praise to the staff at the Mount Hotel. If you are thinking of booking any sort of celebration event I would highly recommend them.
