"Overall rooms are basic with towels, toilet necessities provided. The shower hot water & pressure is super for a refreshing bath. Inter room sound insulation is quite bad you can hear the next room talking or watching TV clearly. Front desk staff were helpful in explaining the hotel policy. The hotel needs to look into their breakfast with better food varieties and the amount of food being served. We came down around 7:30am with most of the trays empty. Kitchen staff should also be trained to serve customers beside giving a deaf ear when customers assistance or request instead of just walked away into the kitchen."

"I had a truly pleasant experience staying at the Grand Margherita Hotel in Kuching. The location is excellent—right by the waterfront—making it very convenient for sightseeing, relaxing walks, and exploring nearby attractions and eateries. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience even better. Breakfast had a good selection, with both local and international options, and the dining area was comfortable and spacious. Facilities like the pool and common areas were also well-kept and enjoyable. Overall, Grand Margherita Hotel offers great comfort, good service, and an ideal location. "A nice and new hotel. However the housekeeping service really needs to improve. This is the first time I checked into the hotel with no shower gel, shampoo and hand lotion. The bottles were not refilled. And the housekeeping service entered my room without taking off the shoes to my bathroom and the shoe was really dirty the floor 🙁. The hotel needs to improve and train the staff again."

"4🌟 stay at Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing for 4D3N. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with very friendly and helpful staff throughout our trip. Housekeeping also did a good job with room cleanliness and bed arrangement daily. One of the best parts of the stay was the beautiful view overlooking the Kuching Waterfront. The sunset view from the room was really nice and relaxing, especially during the evening. Breakfast had quite a good variety. During our 4D3N stay, the live stall consistently served Laksa Sarawak and Kolomee, which was a nice local touch. The salad section and some hot dishes were changed daily as well, so breakfast did not feel too repetitive. However, for a 4-star hotel, there are still quite a number of maintenance details that need improvement. On our first night, we faced an issue with the air-conditioning not being cold enough. After informing the front counter, the staff responded well and arranged a room change for us. The second room had much better air-conditioning. Another small point for improvement is the room amenities. Coffee and tea were only replenished on the first day of check-in and not refilled during the following days. Overall, still a pleasant stay with good service from the team, but the hotel facilities and maintenance can definitely be improved further."

"I booked a Standard Hill View King on Chinese New Year Eve, The overall stay is a decent one, was provided with one King size bed and one single size bed, room was equipped with one mini fridge, one kettle and some cups, tissues, TV but the satellite line was bad as TV line appears unstable, small hair dryer, you can refer to photo I posted for amenities and room view, what I showed is all I got. Breakfast wasn't many choice but good enough, they have laksa, kolomee, salad, nasi lemak, bread"

Exceptional Hospitality That Made My Birthday Special I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pullman Kuching Hotel, and it was truly a memorable experience. I chose to celebrate my birthday there, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. A heartfelt thank you to I-Rene Saw, the Guest Experience Manager, and her wonderful team for their thoughtful arrangements. They beautifully decorated the room, surprised me with a birthday cake, and put us to a newly renovated room. These small yet meaningful gestures made a big difference and created a warm, celebratory atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — the service was attentive, the room was comfortable and modern, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Damai Lagoon Resort is nestled between the Mountain Santubong and the South China Sea. The resort environment is serene tugged in a tropical rainforest setting. The area provides a tranquil retreat with dense jungles and sandy beaches. The Sarawak Cultural Village is located just a stone’s throw away. It is within 10 minutes walking distance. We were given all sea-fronting views with one corner rooms on the 3rd floor. We could listen to the waves crashing on the beach during high tide. The spacious space coupled with modern shower amenities and comfortable bedding made our stay an enjoyable experience and we had a relaxing time there. The buffet breakfast served was sumptuous with wide spread of local cuisines. We enjoyed swimming in the clean infinity pool in a sunset backdrop. There are many indoor games provided for the children. Thus, you will not get bored staying in this resort. The resort entrance is grand and the guest lounge is huge and beautiful overlooking the sea. The resort staff members are very helpful and friendly. The resort is highly recommended if you want to have a relaxing holiday outside Kuching city. Thank you.

Room is clean and comfortable. If you need to know, the pillows are the fluffiest that’ll support your spine in your sleep. A few non functioning locks (toilet) and drawers (fridge) but nothing too major that affects stay experience. As a business traveller, it’s important to note that the room is filled with sockets which means no power supply concerns.

The hotel ambiance exudes old-money charm. During my stay, I even had the pleasure of seeing their Sultan King. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is excellent, said to be in the best 'feng shui' spot, feeling grand and impressive. It directly faces the river, and in the evenings, it's very convenient to stroll along the riverside to Marina Bay Sands. The only issue was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling when I checked in, but it was resolved after I reported it. Later that night, I discovered the shower gel dispenser was nearly empty, and no product would come out. Then, the shower drain clogged, quickly flooding the entire bathroom during my quick shower. The hotel does show some signs of aging facilities, but everything else was great.
