"As a ********* traveler, I encountered check-in restrictions upon my arrival in Taiyuan. Despite being advertised as welcoming tourists from around the world, I faced an issue at a hotel in Taiyuan. The hotel encountered difficulties in processing my Taiwan pass. However, I must commend G hotel for their exceptional support and assistance. They made every effort to resolve the situation promptly and ensure a successful check-in process. I highly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers from Taiwan for its professionalism and accommodating service."

"Spent a most enjoyable 5-day stay here. The owners are really nice -- they not only surprised us with a welcome fruit platter but also sent another one on another day. When we had to wake up super early on one of the days, they actually cooked 2 hard boil eggs for us to pack for breakfast (despite us saying no the night before as we didn't wish to trouble them). The husband also sent us via his car to a nearby pick-up point that we had to assemble at 5.40am. This is a very nicely done up place, well-maintained and very clean too. Good quality toiletries provided, comfortable bed, bathroom with a shower cubicle, water that is hot enough, even a toilet bowl. Great location -- there're rows of different types of shops nearby but it's still surprisingly quiet despite our room facing the road with a balcony, there're 2 cafes nearby, a nearby eatery that sells the most delicious 'shao bing' (crispy skin pastry with meat in it) - it's freshly made when one orders and a adjoining noodle stall that serves noodles that's quite OK too. It's just opposite the Hua Yan Si temple - one of the must-visit on the list of places in Datong. Hua Yan temple is also located in a huge square with more shops and food. From the front door of the homestay, turn right and walk all the way down abt 15-20mins, go through the ancient walls and then cross the road, you'll find Parkson mall there - a huge modern mall with all your usual F & B + shops that you'll find in these malls, supermarket, etc. The bus-stop to Yun Gang Grottoes is also nearby. A new landmark that makes it easy to locate this charming homestay : a new huge pink bunny with the Chinese characters of Datong on a green artificial grass patch, that is located just abt 200m away from its main entrance."

"It is hard to understand how a hotel can have so many problems in two nights, power outage at 10pm + changing four rooms + excavator downstairs at 11pm + crazy knocking on the door while I was sleeping soundly and listening to the male supervisor apologize 1The air conditioner in the first room was a bit noisy, so I changed to the second room 2 The hotel lost power at around 10pm that night and it was completely dark. There was no emergency lighting and no one notified what had happened. 3. I woke up the next morning and found that there was no cover on the bathroom window. The whole room was bright and I couldn't sleep at all. 4 I changed to a third room because I hired a car and was not in the hotel for a day. I left my luggage in the room and left. When I came back and opened the door, the room smelled like a public toilet. 5 changed to the fourth room…The excavator started working downstairs at around 11 o'clock. I'm impressed... I've never seen a large machine working in a city center at 11pm. I was going to change the fifth room, but after a while, the quarrel between other communities and excavators ended. 6I thought the disaster would be over after I checked out the next day. Who would have thought that a male supervisor would knock on my door frantically at around nine in the morning to apologize to me when I was fast asleep. No one paid any attention to him and he kept knocking on the door. What kind of new type of boss is this? ? No matter whether the customer is resting or not, as long as you want to apologize, it doesn’t matter what time it is? ? Is it polite for a man to knock on a woman's door frantically, either at night or in the morning? ? Three stars because the general manager finally came to apologize and refunded the room fee, but the first thing he said to me was that there was construction going on next door to the hotel. Construction next door to the hotel is the least of your problems. I don't know how the employees report the situation. The hotel staff was very nice throughout the whole process and actively changed rooms, but there was no apology or compensation. We changed four rooms but no one offered to help us upgrade the room or anything like that. When I was about to change to the fifth room and I was already very dissatisfied, they said they would give me a fruit plate so that I would not give a bad review... After knowing that I would definitely describe the room truthfully, they knocked on the door frantically early in the morning... What an incredible way to handle the problem."

"The boss is very kind, the house was just renovated in June this year, the atmosphere is simple, high-end luxury! The bathroom is upscale! Drinking German coffee is free! Drinking boiling water is free temperature! Free breakfast buffet in the morning for 15 dishes to eat! It is Datong special breakfast! Especially good! Next time I go to Datong and live in her house!"

"Indeed super fantastic experience. I typically do not write reviews but this hotel definitely worths a review to demonstrate what first-class service they are offering. Fantastic location -- 3min walk to the train station. When checking in, there was a very lovely small gift, and my ID card was very well taken with even a protection shield. The staff there guided me all the way to my room, and regularly checked whether everything is okay. Super fantastic experience."

"Location: You can use bus or taxi from Datong South station. (Approximately 20 mins. ) Located in the city center and very convenient. Services: Hotel staff are extremely kind. I enjoyed a little conversation with them. They also send us some recomendation lists for restaurants. Room: It located underground, but relatively big and comfortable. However, a bathtub inside the room can easily leak water and my room soaked a little."
