"As a ********* traveler, I encountered check-in restrictions upon my arrival in Taiyuan. Despite being advertised as welcoming tourists from around the world, I faced an issue at a hotel in Taiyuan. The hotel encountered difficulties in processing my Taiwan pass. However, I must commend G hotel for their exceptional support and assistance. They made every effort to resolve the situation promptly and ensure a successful check-in process. I highly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers from Taiwan for its professionalism and accommodating service."

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the city center, making it easy to get to both the ancient city and commercial areas. Parking was also convenient for those arriving by car. Great value for money! The rooms were clean and tidy, with a good separation of wet and dry areas. The soundproofing was also decent. The butler was warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions, which definitely enhanced our positive impression of Datong."

"Minha mãe e eu nos hospedamos nesta casa com pátio, que antes pertencia a uma família rica. O quarto duplex era muito bem isolado acusticamente, muito melhor do que o lugar onde ficamos no meio da rua. Era silencioso apesar de estar em uma área movimentada, a menos de 10 minutos a pé do centro histórico. O proprietário foi muito acolhedor; ele até nos buscou de carro quando estava chovendo. O quarto tinha vários cupons de restaurantes, um pequeno altar budista e um espaço para fazer chá – muito local e cuidadosamente decorado. ❤️ O café da manhã na manhã seguinte foi no pátio, e o proprietário preparou chá para nós. 🫖 Obrigada pela hospitalidade! "Spent a most enjoyable 5-day stay here. The owners are really nice -- they not only surprised us with a welcome fruit platter but also sent another one on another day. When we had to wake up super early on one of the days, they actually cooked 2 hard boil eggs for us to pack for breakfast (despite us saying no the night before as we didn't wish to trouble them). The husband also sent us via his car to a nearby pick-up point that we had to assemble at 5.40am. This is a very nicely done up place, well-maintained and very clean too. Good quality toiletries provided, comfortable bed, bathroom with a shower cubicle, water that is hot enough, even a toilet bowl. Great location -- there're rows of different types of shops nearby but it's still surprisingly quiet despite our room facing the road with a balcony, there're 2 cafes nearby, a nearby eatery that sells the most delicious 'shao bing' (crispy skin pastry with meat in it) - it's freshly made when one orders and a adjoining noodle stall that serves noodles that's quite OK too. It's just opposite the Hua Yan Si temple - one of the must-visit on the list of places in Datong. Hua Yan temple is also located in a huge square with more shops and food. From the front door of the homestay, turn right and walk all the way down abt 15-20mins, go through the ancient walls and then cross the road, you'll find Parkson mall there - a huge modern mall with all your usual F & B + shops that you'll find in these malls, supermarket, etc. The bus-stop to Yun Gang Grottoes is also nearby. A new landmark that makes it easy to locate this charming homestay : a new huge pink bunny with the Chinese characters of Datong on a green artificial grass patch, that is located just abt 200m away from its main entrance."

"過年來太原玩，入住了樟禾酒店，位置服務都在線 臨時大年初二訂的酒店，價格還是很香的，加雙早360元一晚上 房間乾濕分離，打掃的很方便 還送了一次性的用品，毛巾、牙刷牙膏等等 早餐到10點，8點多餐品還都有，吃完了不到9點，就沒啥東西了，可能春節入住的人多吧 免費停車，車停到晉商博物館的停車場裏，很好停車，還順帶逛了晉商博物館 酒店步行幾百米就是柳巷、鼓樓街、食品街，逛吃逛吃，就是過節人太多了，周圍所有的餐廳都在排隊"

"Location isn't very attractive but neither is most of the city anyways. Walking distance (just about) from the south railway station but otherwise need to take a taxi or bus (can be slow going). Staff very helpful (paid for my didi taxi through her phone and I refunded her in cash when I came back since price wasn't completely set before the end of the ride) and there is a rather well-equipped gym. Room very comfortable but very chain-like. Tacky ground floor deco and disappointing breakfast for western taste."
