Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.          

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has. The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot. The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting. By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle. Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊 Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.

Enjoyed our 3 nights at Noku Phuket! The front desk and bell team were absolutely lovely during our time here, and we had a complimentary upgrade to the room with the whirlpool in our balcony! Loved that the room was super spacious, and there were dual sinks in the bathroom. Location was pretty far but they provided complimentary shuttles to Phuket town too! Didn’t manage to explore the breakfast, dining and spa offerings during this stay! It would be good if the hotel could look into improving their flooring (there were some gaps & there was even a piece of wood sticking out and was a hazard). The linen was really thin and not fitting of 5 star standard, which was a shame as the hotel was really pretty! But overall still a highly recommended stay!

The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, and having the 'rabbit car' (shuttle service) was a great help for getting around. We received a complimentary welcome fruit basket on our first day, which was a lovely touch. The hotel also boasts a private beach that remains peaceful and private even during peak season. We'd definitely come back again. The only minor drawback was that the Italian risotto I had was a bit undercooked, quite al dente.

I stayed here ten years ago. Perhaps due to some Chinese superstitions, there weren't many Chinese guests, and breakfast was primarily Western-style. Of course, the room facilities can't compare to newly opened hotels in China, given that this is an established resort. Aside from that, the resort ambiance was fantastic. On the day we checked in, which was my child's birthday, they thoughtfully sent a birthday cake while we were out – a nice little surprise. The hotel is situated in a quiet yet central location in Patong. The pool is huge, offering expansive views directly facing the sea. On clear days, you can watch the sunset from the pool. It's separated from the beach by just a small road, making it very convenient for beach activities or simply relaxing. We stayed in a swim-up room for two nights, which felt more like a private pool. However, with kids, we preferred the main pool, mainly for the better views. We basically spent our days by the pool and evenings at the beach. There's a good massage place and restaurant right by the hotel's main entrance. They're next to each other, and the restaurant, belonging to the neighboring hotel, has a trendy, Instagrammable vibe and is popular with many foreigners. If the hotel breakfast isn't to your liking, you can have brunch there; we ate there several times and also had massages for a few days straight. This trip, we stayed in both Karon and Patong, but next time, I'd only choose Patong – it's much more convenient for going out and exploring.

Phuket's top choice! I picked this place because I didn't want to deal with the hassle and sun exposure of island hopping, and it was absolutely amazing. The room layouts are very well-planned, and the overall resort vibe is fantastic! When checking in, there's a separate reception area where they go through all the hotel details with you in a very attentive, almost 'kneeling' manner. We stayed at The Surin before this, and this place is even better! The service is also exceptional! It's truly a great spot to just relax and unwind. Wow, I'll definitely be back!

We chose the Renaissance Phuket for our summer family 'lie-flat' vacation. The pros: new facilities, clean and tidy, five-star service, and good restaurant food. The breakfast was also excellent, with a chocolate fondue for the kids. The hotel has its own private beach and a Starbucks. While its location is north of the airport, getting to the city center can be quite expensive. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the nearby Turtle Village, which has a commercial area with restaurants and a 7-Eleven. The local Pizza Company there is also delicious. For families with kids, you can book an elephant sanctuary online, which includes pick-up and drop-off. If you have a bigger budget, you can also opt for the Nemo dolphin show and swimming with dolphins, but that dolphin attraction is in southern Phuket, which is quite a distance! In summary: the hotel is new, clean, and well-designed. If you're looking to relax and unwind, definitely go for it. The last picture was taken after we checked out.

We booked a pool-view room, and it was great. The layout and design were very good. Although it's not huge at just over 40 square meters, it was quite comfortable for two adults and one child. The front desk and concierge staff were all very polite and had warm smiles. The breakfast spread was extensive and served until 11 am, which really added to the holiday vibe. There weren't many Chinese guests. My husband commented that at breakfast, you could see people of different skin tones, confirming that the hotel was indeed full of international guests. To be honest, the pool isn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate for the kids to play in for two days. There's also a small sandpit next to the pool. The biggest surprise was the kids' club! It even had a ball pit and tons of toys. Our child's favorite place each day wasn't the pool, but the kids' club. The staff there were very responsible; they'd confirm with parents whether each child was allowed to leave on their own when entering, and required a sign-in and sign-out every time, which made us feel very secure. Free bicycles were also provided, so you could cycle to 7-Eleven for supplies. Of course, there were some downsides. The beach waves were indeed quite strong, so you could only splash around by the shore. It's also true that it's far from town; 7-Eleven isn't within walking distance. To get around, you either need a taxi or a bicycle. There are also wild massage parlors next to the hotel beach offering massages for 500 baht an hour, as well as two Thai restaurants. They're more expensive than outside but cheaper than the hotel, and the food was decent.

The hotel was good value for money overall, but unfortunately we had several issues with our first room. The biggest problem was the air-conditioning system. The room had a noticeable musty smell, which appeared to be related to poor AC maintenance and condensation drainage. The condensate was leaking onto the floor, and the system appeared to have problems with drainage. When AC systems are not properly cleaned and maintained, moisture can remain in the condensate tray, drain lines and around the cooling coil. Standing water, dirt and organic debris can create conditions where microbial growth and biofilm can develop, which can contribute to the typical musty or damp smell associated with poorly maintained AC systems. The condensation was also leaking onto the floor, which caused our toddler to trip and hurt herself. The hotel sent a mechanic three times to try to fix the issue, but unfortunately it could not be resolved. After complaining again, they wanted to send the mechanic for a fourth time, which I declined. I went down to reception to resolve the situation, and after some discussion they finally moved us to another building. The room change did not feel like an upgrade, as the new building was much further from the facilities and pool. However, the second room was noticeably better maintained, smelled much fresher, and we experienced no further AC problems. There was also a serious safety concern with the balcony doors. Both balcony doors in the old room initially could not be locked properly. With a toddler who is capable of opening doors herself, this is much more than a minor maintenance issue it creates a genuine safety risk, particularly with a balcony. Thankfully, the mechanic came and fixed both locks within around 10 minutes. The mechanic himself was excellent, very helpful and clearly did his best throughout our stay. The pool was one of the highlights. It was large, clean and had a separate kids’ area, which was great for our toddler. A particularly big plus was the pool bar staff. They were extremely friendly, attentive and genuinely kind. They even gave our daughter a free drink and fruit whenever we ordered cocktails or soft drinks. They really made us feel welcome. One downside was the condition of the pool loungers. Many looked dirty, heavily worn and had numerous patched-up holes. They were not inviting to lie on, so we didn’t use them. The fabric should either be cleaned much more regularly or replaced with something more durable and easier to maintain. Another unusual design choice was the location of the saunas. The two saunas, one for men and one for women, are tucked away inside the separate toilet/changing-room areas next to the pool. This makes the sauna experience feel more like an extension of the bathroom facilities rather than a dedicated wellness area. It is also inconvenient for couples, as men and women have to use separate saunas. If you want to relax together, you would need to pay extra to use the spa facilities instead. A shared sauna would make much more sense for a resort style hotel. There is also construction next door, which can be quite annoying at times. But it was not as bad as I expected. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential and the staff were generally friendly and helpful, but for a hotel that is only around three years old, we expected better maintenance and room quality. Unfortunately, because of our experience with the first room, the AC problems and the balcony door safety issue, we don’t think we would return.

Facilities: The hotel's infinity pool is excellent with beautiful views. The sunset at CASA BOHO restaurant is absolutely stunning, but you can't see the sun completely set as the mountains block it. If you want to see the full sunset, you'll need to go to Patong Beach, Kata Beach, or Karon Beach. The service and dishes at the sunset restaurant are very refined and fresh, and relatively cheaper compared to Western restaurants in China. Cleanliness: The room hygiene is very good. It's cleaned very thoroughly every day. They emphasize environmental protection here, so if you want your sheets, duvet covers, and towels changed daily, you need to specifically inform the front desk! Otherwise, they might not be replaced daily; they'll still dry and fold them for you. Service: Hyatt's service is very attentive. You basically never need to carry your own luggage; they'll always help you move it. Because the hotel is built on a hill, you need to take an electric buggy to get to various locations (restaurants, rooms, spa, pool, lobby). The buggies are on-call and arrive quickly, which is a great experience. Environment: The hotel also has a semi-private sunset beach area, located just across the road from the hotel facing the sea. At low tide, around 3-4 PM, you'll see many small fish, shrimp, and crabs in the shallows. There's a specially constructed path in the sea built by the hotel, perfect for taking photos and enjoying the scenery. You are not allowed to pick up or harm any marine animals; it's illegal in Thailand! Just quietly take photos and observe. You'll see small mantis shrimp, starfish, sea cucumbers, and various other fish! It's wonderful!
