The Perhentian Islands in Malaysia are a true paradise, easily earning the title of the 'Malaysian Maldives.' I chose the Perhentian Island Resort, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The hotel is located on the main Perhentian island, right on the edge of a lagoon with crystal-clear turquoise waters. Nearby, there's a picturesque coral reef and a pristine white sand beach adorned with palm trees, reminiscent of exotic 'Bounty' advertisements. Guests are offered secluded bungalows with terraces, most of which boast panoramic sea views. The hotel grounds feature a well-maintained swimming pool and a tennis court. Despite their simplicity, the rooms are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfasts cater to a wide range of tastes and national preferences, offering fresh and delicious dishes. The hotel is also home to a variety of wildlife: you can spot squirrels, monitor lizards, newts, frogs, and bats. But the real treat was observing a family of spectacled langurs, who seemed to be enjoying their vacation in this natural haven too! The very next day after arriving, I went on a snorkeling tour, which allowed me to see the island from different angles, including other hotels and beaches inaccessible from the shore. Subsequent walks around the island, exploring its jungle, checking out other accommodations, and even visiting a neighboring islet, firmly convinced me that choosing Perhentian Island Resort was the right decision. The beach, the prevailing peace and quiet, and the comfortable atmosphere—it's pure bliss! I will definitely be back!

Amazing location right on the sea view. Place clean Wonderful infinity pool We enjoyed the place almost at the end of the season and some services were not available, this was quite annoying as we book the place to experience all the services described. The staff has been friendly but they could do better. Restaurant was good even if we can only had a la carta menu as the buffet was not available. Attached to the jetty pier. Spa was ok, staff very kind even I would recommend this place for relaxing couple trip

Second time here hehe, and it still feels just as special. Perfect escape from the busy city life. Everything about it is so calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The atmosphere really helps you slow down and just enjoy the moment. Nights can get quite dark around the resort, but honestly it adds to the whole serene vibe and wasn’t an issue for me at all. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Would definitely come back again.

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall, this place has so much potential. The kampung ambience is so peaceful and inviting. The old Istana (palace) transformed into rooms gave the kampung lifestyle feels. Just walking distance to the beach and the scenery of the whole resort is tranquil. Nevertheless, suggest to clean and restore the pond around the resort. Re-do the whole landscaping around the resort and plant all the local flowers, fruit trees and herbal plants. And to install more solar lights. With this new facelift of the whole sorroundings, will surely invite repeating guests. Shoutout to the friendly staffs too. (P/S: suggests to invest on bed bug spray for each room too)

Fizemos a reserva de última hora e não selecionamos nenhum pacote. O serviço foi bom: nos esperaram na chegada e nos ajudaram com as malas, serviram um pequeno lanche durante o check-in e os funcionários foram simpáticos. Os pontos que precisam melhorar são a falta de funcionários fora dos horários de pico, o fato de as ligações não serem atendidas e o pedido para trocar a chaleira enferrujada ser ignorado. As instalações são antigas e mal conservadas. O chão está empoeirado, a moldura do espelho do banheiro está quebrada, a madeira da varanda também está danificada e pode ser perigosa se uma criança pequena ficar sozinha. A comida é boa e o preço é razoável. Pagamos pelo buffet de jantar e ficamos bastante satisfeitos.

Our time at Summerbay Resort was really pleasant. Very friendly staff and very good service. The deluxe pool view room was clean and had good amenities and a nice view of the pool. At no point did it feel like this trip was not worth it. The beach in front of the hotel is wel maintained with plenty of baby black tip reef sharks to see while snorkeling. The included breakfast was good, with good food and plenty of seating. For dinner though I would advise to go to Seaview cafe. The dinners and the quality of the food are amazing. Special shoutout to chef Chris for cooking delicious dinners 10/10! We're writing this review as European guest. Communicating in English was not a hassle at all.

The room was spacious and clean, and there's a great snorkeling spot right next to the hotel. I especially appreciated the restaurant; the food was excellent, and every dish was exceptional. It's definitely one of the best restaurants I've tried during my years of traveling in Southeast Asia. Finally, a special thank you to Paul for taking care of every detail. I'll definitely go back if I have the chance.

A localização era ótima; Há uma viagem de 30 a 45 minutos de balsa para chegar ao hotel; É uma lancha rápida, o que pode não ser conveniente o suficiente para algumas pessoas; Meu filho de 9 anos ficou doente na balsa; Em relação ao hotel, quando pegamos nosso quarto, o banheiro não estava limpo o suficiente; Tínhamos reservado uma suíte Bayview de 2 quartos, mas as janelas do quarto principal estavam trancadas e quebradas, então não pudemos abri-las e aproveitar o suficiente, considerando que os copos também não estavam limpos;

Bon rapport qualité prix, avec un chalet sympa et propre malgré un lit pas du tout confortable (très dur) et une odeur d’égout qui remonte par la climatisation. Si l’on fait attraction de tout ça, la plage est super, avec accès a d’autres restaurants, aux excursions, canoë et taxi boat. Le buffet du Resort est lui aussi sympa mais n’arrivez pas trop après le début du service, le personnel est très accueillant et a l’écoute et n’hésitera pas à vous renseigner sur les plats et autres. Petit plus pour le salon de massage, n’hésitez pas à vous y arrêter pour un massage typique malaysien excellent
