"Second time here hehe, and it still feels just as special. Perfect escape from the busy city life. Everything about it is so calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The atmosphere really helps you slow down and just enjoy the moment. Nights can get quite dark around the resort, but honestly it adds to the whole serene vibe and wasn’t an issue for me at all. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Would definitely come back again."

"This island hotel is absolutely fantastic! The moment you open the window, you're greeted with a stunning sea view, and the beach is wonderfully soft and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. The seafood feast was fresh and delicious, offering excellent value for money. This vacation experience was perfect, and I'll definitely be back again!"

"Amazing location right on the sea view. Place clean Wonderful infinity pool We enjoyed the place almost at the end of the season and some services were not available, this was quite annoying as we book the place to experience all the services described. The staff has been friendly but they could do better. Restaurant was good even if we can only had a la carta menu as the buffet was not available. Attached to the jetty pier. Spa was ok, staff very kind even I would recommend this place for relaxing couple trip"

"Stayed for 3 nights. Overall, this place has so much potential. The kampung ambience is so peaceful and inviting. The old Istana (palace) transformed into rooms gave the kampung lifestyle feels. Just walking distance to the beach and the scenery of the whole resort is tranquil. Nevertheless, suggest to clean and restore the pond around the resort. Re-do the whole landscaping around the resort and plant all the local flowers, fruit trees and herbal plants. And to install more solar lights. With this new facelift of the whole sorroundings, will surely invite repeating guests. Shoutout to the friendly staffs too. (P/S: suggests to invest on bed bug spray for each room too)"

"A wonderful stay at the Perhentian Islands and the Marriott Hotel. Service: Every staff member I encountered consistently offered service with a smile, answering questions gently and patiently. This is likely due to the hotel's training and service standards. However, Perhentian Island mostly caters to European and American tourists, with Chinese visitors being a minority, so I didn't encounter any staff who spoke Chinese. Environment: The environment was absolutely stunning. After boating around most of Perhentian Island, this hotel's environment stood out as the best. If you find a good price, just book it without hesitation. Ctrip users might be assigned rooms further away; I was placed in the furthest corner, but it conveniently happened to be the closest to the entrance of Romantic Beach. I snorkeled at the beach for three days; the sand was beautiful, and under the afternoon sun, the water was a stunning Tiffany blue. However, don't go too late, as the water started to get a bit cloudy after 5 PM. The sand was soft, and there weren't many people. Compared to other public beaches, this one was very clean and well-maintained by Marriott, unlike other beaches that had debris. Snorkeling revealed many fish, and sometimes even some colorful large fish. The best spot was on the left side facing the sea, near the rocks, where you could see colorful, live coral. Facilities: Kids can play and do crafts at the kids' club during their free time, with a free 3-hour supervision. Several attendants looked after the children there. We went three times in two days. Because our ferry was at 4 PM, we played for a bit at 3 PM while waiting for the ferry, and the attendants even gave the children two small sea turtle toys! Additionally, if you have an afternoon ferry, you can still snorkel or swim after checking out, as there are changing facilities by the pool. Suggestions: The beach can provide life jackets, masks, etc., but the pool doesn't have swimming rings or kickboards. It would be better if, like other hotels, they offered some water toys for children. I also observed that none of the pools had lifeguards, nor did the beach, so parents should be vigilant."

"The hotel os great, if you want that sea view, you will be walking up a lot of steps. Being an all inclusive, we took the basic all inclusive package. The food was delicious. Good selection for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was ok. The sunset bar is available if you miss lunch. Good facilities. Staff were great, special shout out to Athira at the sunset bar, she is lovely and the lunch/dinner staff. A few hiccups with the reception, but was all sorted by the manager. Double check room prices for extensions, boat prices etc. I would recommend this hotel. It is quiet and wonderful for couples. Water taxis are readily available to move around the islands tor day trips."

"I wanna give some information about the garden villa and ocean villa, garden villa is way better than ocean villa , it has private yard, it’s a little far from the lobby for more privacy and peace, but ocean villa is near the restaurant and it’s not private, the residence of gardens villa should pass by ocean villas to get to their room and it’s not even beach front, it doesn’t have private yard so the guests couldn’t open the curtains and use the view 🫣it should be half price of garden villa but it’s more expensive 😑 the toilet and bathroom doesn’t have door but has view to garden. The stuff are great. 👍🏼 The food is the best in the island but totally is average. Snorkeling with firus was amazing.😝 Everything is perfect, I highly recommend this villa.🫶🏻"

"Our time at Summerbay Resort was really pleasant. Very friendly staff and very good service. The deluxe pool view room was clean and had good amenities and a nice view of the pool. At no point did it feel like this trip was not worth it. The beach in front of the hotel is wel maintained with plenty of baby black tip reef sharks to see while snorkeling. The included breakfast was good, with good food and plenty of seating. For dinner though I would advise to go to Seaview cafe. The dinners and the quality of the food are amazing. Special shoutout to chef Chris for cooking delicious dinners 10/10! We're writing this review as European guest. Communicating in English was not a hassle at all."

"Fizemos a reserva de última hora e não selecionamos nenhum pacote. O serviço foi bom: nos esperaram na chegada e nos ajudaram com as malas, serviram um pequeno lanche durante o check-in e os funcionários foram simpáticos. Os pontos que precisam melhorar são a falta de funcionários fora dos horários de pico, o fato de as ligações não serem atendidas e o pedido para trocar a chaleira enferrujada ser ignorado. As instalações são antigas e mal conservadas. O chão está empoeirado, a moldura do espelho do banheiro está quebrada, a madeira da varanda também está danificada e pode ser perigosa se uma criança pequena ficar sozinha. A comida é boa e o preço é razoável. Pagamos pelo buffet de jantar e ficamos bastante satisfeitos."
