"Huge, practical rooms with outstanding service!
THE ROOMS & AMENITIES
The rooms are incredibly spacious. We loved the huge living room to chill in after a day out. The bedrooms are large, and the balcony is huge. It has great conveniences like a fridge and a washing machine. Note that activating the kitchen stove requires an extra fee.
LOCATION & FACILITIES
The back of the hotel connects to a nice seaside walk (no sand) and is a very convenient 10-minute walk to the 1st night market. The lobby doesn't look quite as nice as its sister property next door (the Vignette), but they share facilities. The Vignette block houses the kids' indoor playground and a fancier pool. However, our block has its own well-equipped gym, a 24-hour spa, and a pool.
A FEW QUIRKS
The spare room has a shower, but the toilet is located outside, so you have to exit the room to use it. Also, there are no bidets and no delivery robots.
STANDOUT SERVICE
The service is incredible and more than makes up for the quirks. The front desk and butlers were super responsive and friendly. I could even WeChat them late into the night. They quickly provided bed guards, cutlery, a second clothes drying rack, and extra hangers upon request."

I decided to give back the warm service of the hotel in the way of comments. I found that there are washing machines and dryers after I lived. This is really a plus! Hainan is sweaty every day in this weather, especially after two or three days, a bunch of wet clothes are particularly troublesome. I throw it in at night and dry it directly, and I can wear it the next day. I used to think that the homestay had a washing machine, and it was really convenient to wash and dry. Breakfast is not a large row of buffets in the hotel, it is a relatively simple sandwich, but it is the aunt's current pressure. I didn't expect much, but I ate the first bite and it was amazing to me! Suddenly, I have an increased interest in this store. As a result, I chatted with the kitchen aunt and found that the cheese slices were actually Anjia. Although the things were simple, the materials were not very casual. I was very full and I felt very healthy. There are many types but they are prefabricated but the quality of the breakfast is more suitable for my appetite. Fiquei neste hotel por dois dias e, sinceramente, superou todas as minhas expectativas. A localização é perfeita – bem à beira-mar, e a praia fica a apenas 3 minutos a pé! Acordar com aquela vista para o mar foi como um sonho.
A limpeza era de primeira. Tudo estava arrumado e fresco, e o quarto era superconfortável. O que realmente me chamou a atenção foi a equipe – incrivelmente gentil e prestativa. Embora eu fale muito pouco chinês, eles se esforçaram para me ajudar, usando aplicativos de tradução ou gestos, sempre com um sorriso e uma ótima atitude.

GancuoniThis stay truly exceeded my expectations, largely thanks to the exceptional service from our butler, Xiao Jin. I have to commend her highly. From her proactive inquiries about any special needs before check-in, handling the check-in process, reserving our dinner table, to assisting with various requests during our stay, and even arranging airport transfer after we checked out – Xiao Jin was always patient, responsive, and meticulously thorough. Her attentiveness to detail was evident, never intrusive, yet always there when needed. The professional and thoughtful service made our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. I'm thoroughly satisfied.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Yalong Bay, specifically by the Yalong Bay Totem Pole. The surrounding area offers plenty of shopping and dining options.
While a few of the hotel's facilities were a bit underwhelming, it is, after all, an established high-end hotel with a rich heritage. Overall, it's highly recommended!

To be honest, the room facilities are a bit dated; you can definitely see the age in the bathroom and furniture. But that didn't detract from our experience at all, because the butler service was simply outstanding!
From adding her on WeChat to communicate our needs during check-in, to receiving daily thoughtful weather and activity reminders, every request was met with a prompt response. The butler even specially delivered a fresh fruit platter to our room. And at check-out, she had prepared Hainan specialty souvenirs. The attention to detail was incredible, making us feel truly valued and pampered.
Moreover, the hotel's outdoor environment is absolutely stunning! The sand on the beach is as fine as flour, the seawater is crystal clear, and every photo you take looks like a wallpaper. The complimentary travel photoshoot was an even bigger surprise; the photographer patiently guided our poses, and the results were simply amazing. We ended up buying a package of over twenty photos, which was far better than any roadside photographer – why even bother with a bicycle when you have a luxury car? (a Chinese idiom meaning 'why settle for less when you can have the best')
Honestly, I truly believe that without the dedicated efforts of these high-quality professionals, this hotel would struggle to operate so smoothly. The hardware might be old, but the warmth of the people makes up for it. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values service experience! We'll definitely be back! 👍
It's very close to the duty-free shop, so we had a great time shopping 🥰 If you're not an early riser, there's no need to buy breakfast; you can order takeout nearby 🥡 There's McDonald's and KFC.

Zhuimengren928I've been to Sanya many times, but I've never really taken the time to relax and enjoy it. When I saw this package from Trip.com, I noticed the hotel, though old, was close to the airport and had high online ratings, so I decided to give it a try. The day before arrival, I received a call from the hotel front desk. I informed them I'd be arriving on an early morning flight and hoped for an upgrade. They said it wouldn't be a problem and everything was arranged, which made me feel pretty good.
However, upon arriving at the hotel, I found it was indeed old, and the service was genuinely poor. The front desk staff had a cold expression, told me no rooms were available yet, and an upgrade was out of the question. I really couldn't understand how the hotel trained its staff. I was completely dumbfounded. With no other option, I contacted Trip.com customer service, and I really have to commend them. They were incredibly patient and enthusiastic in helping us communicate with the hotel. After much back-and-forth, we finally checked into a satisfactory room by 3 PM.
The hotel butler was quite welcoming, but the afternoon tea and evening Happy Hour at the executive lounge were truly disappointing. There were only a few pastries, and in the evening, they added some hot tofu. We had no interest in going back on the second day. Sanya is still a great place, and the hotel is very close to Wuzhizhou Island, but I probably won't choose this hotel again next time.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied! Butler Lili proactively contacted us in advance and communicated with us throughout our stay, providing exceptional and thoughtful service. We were assigned the highest floor, and the room was spacious with a fantastic sea view. Most of the parent-child activities are free, like paddleboarding and the mini-train, which other places usually charge for, making it excellent value for money. I also want to commend the staff at the kids' club; when one of our tokens wasn't recognized, they gave us six new ones. Our little one managed to win the bag she wanted with those last tokens, which made her very happy. Generally, InterContinental gives me the impression of being very generous, not a stingy hotel at all. The experience was top-notch, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Sanya.

Guest UserOur stay at the Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful scenery, excellent service, and comprehensive facilities – we'll definitely choose this place again next time. We arrived at 1:30 PM and were able to check in immediately. We booked two nights in a Coconut Grove Seaview Room, which stated it offered a 20-degree sea view. Room 2327, which we were given, was the closest to the sea, and the balcony view was wonderfully expansive. Upon arrival, the front desk staff helped with our luggage and delivered it to our room. In the evening, we received welcome fruits and milk, and at checkout, we got a small gift – a truly special touch. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, and the dining environment was lovely. The hotel has several restaurants with reasonable prices, and the food was delicious in terms of taste, color, and aroma. The beach management was also excellent: safe storage for valuables, beach chairs and towels readily available, and lifeguards on patrol – everything was well taken care of. A big thank you to our butler, Coral, who responded instantly to messages and promptly resolved any issues perfectly. We are genuinely satisfied and look forward to our next stay!

Mermaid 周慧Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. It’s worth noting that the hotel caters primarily to Russian tourists, so much of the signage, tours and information are aimed at Russian guests. As an English speaker, this sometimes made things a little more difficult, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying my holiday.
When I arrived, I had a couple of issues with my room. The hot tub took over an hour to fill, and the water wouldn’t stay warm while it was running, so I wasn’t really able to enjoy it. The charging ports in the room also weren’t working, although the hotel kindly provided me with an adapter, which solved that problem. Unfortunately, the hot tub issue was never resolved.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of food each morning. The swimming pool was also lovely—warm, clean and a great place to relax.
My biggest concern was the fish spa. I initially thought seeing a dead fish was just a one-off, but I noticed dead fish in the spa every day during my stay. That made me question how well the spa was being maintained, and I hope the hotel looks into this.
The staff were always kind, polite and helpful, and despite the few issues, I had a lovely stay overall. With a little more attention to maintenance, particularly in the fish spa and the hot tub, this hotel would be even better.

Davin.TSheraton Haitang Bay has lots of kids friendly activities throughout the day and a mini train to take us through the prooperties (it goes to the next door JW Mariott properties as well). The family bicycle is also useful to take leisurely stroll around. We got a free upgrade to a room with swimming pool right outside our balcony which is fantastic - the kids love it! Late in-room dining of wenchang chicken rice and seafood fried rice were also delicious. Great experience overall

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get around, and it's very close to the beach, just a short walk away. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the bedding was very comfortable to sleep in. The staff were enthusiastic and polite, and responded promptly. The environment is quiet, perfect for seniors and children to rest. The breakfast selection was rich and tasty. Our comfortable stay definitely enhanced this trip. Guest UserTo sum it up, this was a nearly perfect vacation, and in my opinion, if you're looking for a quiet, tranquil, and comfortable resort experience, then Banyan Tree Sanya is the absolute best in Sanya! Beyond these advantages that surpass other hotels, Banyan Tree doesn't skimp on the expected perks of a luxury brand. First, the online claims of outdated facilities are unfounded; everything is in perfect working order. Second, regarding hygiene, even with a private pool villa nestled in the rainforest, I found the cleanliness to be absolutely up to standard! I was also quite satisfied with breakfast, especially the sour and spicy seafood noodles and the egg tarts – absolutely superb! And most importantly, the service. You can tell the front desk and concierge staff are genuinely dedicated; they are very patient and communicate and resolve issues promptly. Since it was our anniversary, they even upgraded our room when available, a big thank you to our butler, Youyou, for this wonderful hospitality!
Overall, this trip far exceeded my expectations, and I am extremely satisfied!

From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was warm, polite, and efficient, making the check-in process completely seamless.My room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a remarkably comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful room details, like easy-to-reach power outlets and reliable Wi-Fi. The location is ideal—situated close to local transit and great dining options, yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat. To top it all off, the morning breakfast buffet offered a fantastic variety of fresh, delicious choices.I cannot fault my experience here and would happily stay again on my next visit.
