My stay at Xitang Yuyaxuan's 180-degree river view room was absolutely perfect, completely fulfilling all my imaginings of a Jiangnan water town. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony framed the misty promenade and the gurgling river into a living painting. I slept beside the water, watching the morning mist drift over the stone bridges and black-awning boats cut through the dawn light. In the evening, I admired the setting sun painting the corridor roofs red and lanterns gradually illuminating like stars – truly ”living within the scenery.” The guest room itself was also incredibly charming, cleverly converted from an ancient Ming and Qing dynasty residence. The interior retained the elegant antiquity of wooden beams and carved windows, yet was equipped with modern comforts, showcasing a strong sense of design. Lying on the soft bed, with the gentle sound of sculling oars in the background, even my dreams were imbued with the warmth of the water town. This is undoubtedly an excellent place to experience the essence of Xitang, and I highly recommend it to every traveler seeking tranquility and beautiful views.

This time I stayed in a room at Fushan Yue, not in the main building, so it was a pity I couldn't visit the garden. Next time, if I have the chance, I'd prefer to stay at Fushan Yin. Fushan Yue is quite a distance from the main building. There's a Green Tea restaurant on the first floor, but I didn't see any staff there at night. Facilities: It's in the new building. Hygiene: Very clean and tidy, definitely up to a five-star standard. Environment: The restaurant is on the first floor, and the rooms are upstairs, good environment. Service: The staff escorted us to our room, and the service was excellent. Plus, since it was my mom's birthday, they even sent a card and a cake! 👍🏻

This hotel is small but has everything you need. First off, it's clean and tidy. Secondly, all the basic services are available. Lastly, the location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and it's also quite close to the East Railway Station.

We checked in last Sunday and had an exceptional experience. Our room was not only clean but also spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The toiletries provided were of high quality and complete, adding a thoughtful touch to our overall comfort. The breakfast buffet was a highlight – it offered a wide selection of delicious and fresh dishes at an affordable price, making it a fantastic start to each day. The staff, without exception, were polite, professional, and attentive. A special mention goes to Jiajia, the receptionist, who always greeted us with a warm smile and was genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Her friendliness truly enhanced our experience and made us feel valued as guests. In addition to the outstanding service, the hotel’s facilities and ambiance were impressive, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We were also pleased with the efficient check-in and check-out process, which made our overall experience smooth and stress-free. During the New Year's Day holiday, the hotel was swarming with guests. We arrived at 1 PM but couldn't check into our room until 3:30 PM. They initially said the room wasn't ready, but it turned out the direct drinking water system was broken, and maintenance staff were working on it. Even after we got into the room, it still wasn't fixed, so the hotel provided us with plenty of bottled water instead. The room facilities themselves were quite good. However, the hotel's exterior was very dirty and poorly maintained, which unfortunately detracted from the overall check-in experience. The hotel mattress was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bedding was also just right – not too thick, not too thin – so even with the air conditioning on, it felt pleasant. 👍 We went for breakfast past 8 AM and were surprised to find a very long queue. Luckily, everyone lined up in an orderly fashion. Improving service is key; while the hardware is good, the software (service) needs to be even better.

This was my ninth trip to Hangzhou, and my first time visiting in winter. I had originally bought a pre-sale package, but due to an uncertain schedule, I missed the reservation deadline. So, I had to book on the spot. I booked a room that included a buffet. The front desk upgraded us to a lake-view executive room in Building 2 and even gave us a set of postcards and a cake, which was a very pleasant surprise. We chose the dinner buffet. The individual price is 328 RMB plus a 15% service charge, but since it was included in our accommodation package, the price felt quite reasonable. We arrived at the hotel at 6:30 PM. After checking in, we immediately went for dinner. The highlights were the hairy crabs and soft-shelled turtles. For grilled items, they had steak, lamb chops, flounder, oysters, abalone, and more. For sashimi, there was salmon, tuna, sea bream, sweet shrimp, and other options. While the overall variety wasn't super extensive, it was very convenient not to have to go out for food. So, all in all, it was pretty good. In the evening, I enjoyed a walk along the hotel's private 1.5-kilometer lakefront, which brought me immense tranquility. Since it's a state guesthouse, after some deliberation, Xizi was my first choice, mainly because I love its location on the outer part of West Lake, offering a more expansive view. I later learned that it also hosted guests for the G20 Summit and the Asian Games, and it's where Chairman Xi once stayed 27 times during his visits to Hangzhou. The staff at Xizi Hotel were all exceptionally well-groomed, well-trained, and very friendly, leaving a great impression on me. The winter plum tree was still there, and the moment I opened the window, its fragrance filled the air, making me long to return. I look forward to my next visit.

Giraffe Manor in winter is just so incredibly therapeutic! Tucked away in a thousand acres of bamboo forest, it's a natural oxygen bar with fresh, tranquil air. Although it was a bit chilly outside, the manor was well-prepared, allowing us to feed the giraffes up close and appreciate their grace and charm. Of course, besides giraffes, there are also adorable capybaras, raccoons, and other cute animals everywhere. Kids loved chasing after the animals, and adults could easily snap some fantastic nature-themed photos. Even better, their professional photography service captures stunning shots without any pushy sales tactics, and the complimentary retouched photos were all outstanding. I also have to give a special shout-out to the enthusiastic staff. The shuttle service was available on demand, and they proactively helped with luggage. Whether you're on a family trip with kids or just a family getaway, you're guaranteed to feel warm and happy, experiencing the romance and healing of winter!

Traveling with my family for a holiday, we visited the 'Number One Garden Under Heaven' and truly experienced what 'national hospitality' feels like. At check-in, the front desk offered, 'We've upgraded you to a suite with a courtyard,' free of charge. Upon opening the door, we were greeted by a private little garden. Birds chirped in the morning, and the wind swayed the shadows of the osmanthus trees. It was so quiet I could hear my own heartbeat. The room was fully stocked with amenities: sewing kit, shoehorn, thick-soled slippers were all provided, and the mini-bar had a rich selection of drinks and snacks. Even more surprisingly, it was my birthday that day, and the hotel thoughtfully delivered a small birthday cake. The candlelight flickered in the evening breeze of the courtyard, instantly turning our trip into a memorable anniversary. Although the ZIWEI restaurant was pricey, the West Lake醋鱼 (vinegar fish) was so good it melted away my homesickness. The waitstaff's smiles carried the gentle charm of Jiangnan. Xiao Zhao, our travel photographer, was clearly dedicated; the candid shots she took were natural and beautiful. Even after check-out, the shuttle bus was still available for transfers within the garden, helping with our luggage, and we could leave our car parked for the entire day. This warmth of being treated with such care, and the unique beauty unlike anywhere else, will stay in my heart for a long, long time…

This is my first time writing a positive review, folks. I'm usually too lazy to bother, but the service and environment here were so exceptional that I had to take the time to share it and recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a place to stay! We spent a long time choosing, and this place offered the best value for money. First off, the service was truly outstanding. The owner was incredibly welcoming. My friend and I suffer from motion sickness and were quite disoriented when we arrived at the hotel entrance. The front desk attendant, who I believe was the owner, immediately helped us by opening the door and carrying our luggage to our room. Later, even though check-out was at 12 PM, they didn't rush us at all. When we were finally leaving, they even carried our luggage to the front door and waited with us for a taxi. Truly exceptional! The environment was also great. Our room was spotless, the bed was incredibly soft, and to my surprise, the toilet was even smart! The hotel's interior is very photogenic! I took a few pictures, and on a sunny day, it looked absolutely beautiful! The breakfast was also incredibly rich and varied. And you don't have to worry about oversleeping because breakfast is served until after 10 AM. The breakfast itself was delicious. As soon as you arrive at the restaurant, your food is brought out quickly. My absolute favorite was the diced radish with congee – it was out of this world! The soy milk was also very good. I'm not usually a big fan of soy milk, but this one was light and not too sweet. They even deliver takeout right to your room, so you don't have to climb stairs. It's also very close to the scenic spots, just a leisurely ten-minute walk away. Another touching detail: when we were checking out and moving our suitcases downstairs, the front desk attendant heard us and immediately rushed up to help us carry them down! I was genuinely touched 🥹

I came to Hangzhou for a concert and chose the InterContinental based on its proximity to Hangzhou East Railway Station, Olympic Sports Center, and West Lake. It turned out to be the right choice; the hotel's location is indeed very convenient. The hotel is directly accessible from Exit N2 of Citizen Center Station on Metro Line 4 and Line 7. The hotel lobby is very unique, with beautiful lantern decorations, creating a festive New Year atmosphere. The service is also outstanding. Staff members politely greet guests and proactively help with the elevator. When we arrived for check-in, someone immediately came over to assist us, which was a thoughtful detail that made a great impression. The breakfast is abundant, and the restaurant service is also excellent. The top-floor gym offers a great view of the river. The hotel is 15 years old, so it's a bit classic. The room even has an old stereo, which is a bit nostalgic (next time I might bring a CD to listen to). The room is spacious and well-maintained. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would choose the InterContinental again on my next visit to Hangzhou.
