This time, my stay in the panoramic king room truly captured the multifaceted charm of this magical city, deepening my affection for the place even further. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, perfectly situated within the core radius of the Bund's bustling splendor. Whether it's a stroll along the Huangpu River to admire the 'Exhibition of World Architecture' or a visit to nearby shopping malls and specialty restaurants, everything is just a short walk away. For a traveler like me, who appreciates the city's cultural vibe, this is undoubtedly the best starting point for exploring Shanghai. And the hotel's service has been a consistently warm hallmark for years. Every time I arrive, the concierge staff eagerly and proactively help with my luggage. That meticulous care instantly melts away the fatigue of the journey. The friendly greetings and professional service attitude of the staff always make me feel like I've returned to a long-lost home. This 'home away from home' experience is a precious feeling I find hard to come by in other hotels. The panoramic king room I stayed in this time showcased the hotel's advantages to the fullest. The room was spacious and bright, with a logical layout and impeccable cleanliness. Every detail reflected the hotel's unwavering pursuit of quality. What was most captivating, however, was the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window. In the morning, sunlight streamed through the glass, waking up the slumbering city; at night, as the lights came on, the Oriental Pearl Tower and the 'three-piece suit' of Lujiazui sparkled in the night, seemingly within reach. Whether it was the soft glow of dawn or the brilliant lights of night, the view outside the window was like a flowing painting, endlessly captivating. Here, I didn't need to rush to crowded observation decks; I could simply enjoy the Bund's day-to-night transitions and its spectacular scenery from the comfort of my own room. Over the years, this hotel has always been my first choice when visiting Shanghai. It's not just a place to stay, but it also holds many beautiful memories I have of this city. After a long search online and comparing various options, I finally settled on this designer hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The hotel's location is superb; right outside is the Old City Park, which connects to the Bund, Yu Garden, and City God Temple, all within easy reach. The subway is only about 200 meters away, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can enjoy the Bund night view from the hotel's rooftop, and some of the view is also visible from the room window. The room was well-stocked with beverages, and they even provided a humidifier as per our request. Both the hardware and software are top-notch! The breakfast spread was incredibly rich. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and all the front desk, security, and doormen were young, enthusiastic, proactive, and quite good-looking! They always greeted us first and helped with our luggage! We even received a small gift upon check-out, which was a lovely touch! What kind of manager can lead such an outstanding hotel service team? Five-star rating! Highly recommended!

I booked a package at the Amari SPICE Penang through Trip.com. In addition to executive lounge access, it also included a Southeast Asian-style 'hand-grab' meal set (the 'hand-grab' part is a Thai term), served at 'Thai Ying' restaurant on the second floor of the SPICE Arena, which is in the same building as the hotel. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, blending a relaxed bar atmosphere with spacious and comfortable table spacing. Unlike other crowded restaurants where you almost sit back-to-back with other diners, there's plenty of room here. I was truly impressed the moment the food arrived; the extra-large woven serving basket looked much bigger than in the pictures, with more generous portions. It included shredded chicken and vegetable salad, grilled pork neck, crispy fried pork ribs, grilled fish fillets, pineapple seafood 'hand-grab' rice, and fresh fruit. The accompanying milk tea was rich and aromatic, sweet but not cloying, and the Tom Yum soup authentically captured the true Thai flavor. The dining experience was very pleasant, with all the staff providing enthusiastic and proactive service. Rose Zheng, in particular, not only reserved a window seat with a view for us in advance but also thoughtfully brought us complimentary post-meal desserts. Seeing that we couldn't finish all the food due to the generous portions, she proactively offered to pack it up for us. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

The hotel was easy enough to find for a hotel the has a reception on the 4th floor and no signage out front. The location is prime for access to the pedestrian road. Lots of sightseeing and shopping in this area. Short drive to all the key tourist hotspots. Beds were comfortable, staff were great to foreigners like us, breakfast was fine. The only thing of notes was we had no luck using the dryers and resorted to hanging out our clothes in our room. But this is a minor issue and may be operator error. We would stay at the Yitel premium again.

The atmosphere in the hotel is incredibly warm, calm, and pleasant — it really feels like a place where you can fully relax and enjoy your time. The room was perfect: extremely clean, well-maintained, beautifully prepared, and what impressed us especially was the fresh and pleasant smell — everything felt cozy, comfortable, and carefully looked after. Housekeeping is doing an excellent job, and cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable, with fresh and tasty food that gave us a great start to each day. We truly looked forward to breakfast every morning. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the reception team. The girls and boys at the front desk are not only friendly, but also highly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. We would like to give special thanks to Nini (妮妮). From the very beginning, she helped us with a serious personal issue during our stay. We faced a big problem, and thanks to her patience, responsibility, and sincere desire to help, she supported us step by step and even helped us get our money back. This level of care is far beyond standard hotel service. She proved that the reception team here is not just present for formalities — they truly help guests solve real and important problems. We are deeply grateful to her. The entire reception team always tried to accommodate our requests in every possible way, making sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Their attitude made us feel truly cared for. Another lovely detail was the availability of bath salt, which made our evenings especially relaxing after a long day. Small thoughtful touches like this make a big difference. We traveled as a couple and spent our time here almost like a honeymoon. It was a romantic, peaceful, and joyful experience. We rested deeply, felt refreshed, and were completely satisfied with the hotel, the service, and the whole team. We are extremely happy with our stay and can confidently say that we will definitely return. When I checked in, I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk upgraded my room to the top floor without hesitation, which was great! 👍 I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room had a view of the Huangpu River after I checked in. The room also had a huge bathtub and was very spacious. I have two suggestions: the air conditioning wasn't very effective, and the duvet was a bit thin. Also, the outlet near the sink was broken, so I couldn't use the hairdryer there and had to plug it in by the TV instead.

Traveling with my baby, I was very satisfied with our stay. The service, facilities, and environment were all incredibly comfortable. The toilet in the room was very smart, and the hotel is close to both the Bund and a pedestrian street. The subway station is also very convenient. I highly recommend it!

My nth time in Shanghai, and this time I really wanted a river-view room, so I chose the Kempinski, and it was a great experience! Waking up and opening the curtains to see the Huangpu River truly made this northerner very happy. It's right across from the Bund, next to the 'Three Piece Set' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), so the location is excellent and convenient. **Facilities**: The hotel's overall decor is decent, and the bathroom is really impressive. The shower, toilet, and sink areas are all separate and very spacious. **Service**: I was quite surprised that when I called the front desk and room service in the evening, no one answered… Also, I had to go downstairs to pick up my takeout myself, and there wasn't even a robot, which was also pretty shocking…

Our stay at Gokurayuku Hot Spring Hotel in Shanghai was such a relaxing and refreshing experience. After busy travel days and cold weather, this place felt like a true retreat. The hot spring facilities were clean, well-maintained, and incredibly soothing—exactly what our tired bodies needed. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, and everything was thoughtfully set up for rest and comfort. We especially loved being able to unwind in the onsen after long days of walking and sightseeing. It was the perfect balance of Japanese-style relaxation right in the middle of Shanghai. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and a great place to slow down, rest well, and recharge. We would definitely recommend Gokurayuku to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique hotel experience in the city.

Great hotel location near North Bund, just a 3-minute walk from Tilanqiao subway station. The room was very clean, and I loved the voice-controlled lights and air conditioning. The bathroom, toilet, and sink being separate was super convenient. The hotel's design is also very distinctive. Plus, free parking! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.
