Walking paths wind through greenery, leading you past tranquil ponds where the water reflects the surrounding trees and sky. It’s the kind of place where even a short stroll becomes part of the experience.
The ponds are a highlight. They’re not just decorative; they create a calming atmosphere that carries throughout the lodge. Sitting by the water in the early morning or at sunset is especially memorable, with only the sounds of birds and the occasional ripple breaking the silence.
The rooms continue that same sense of comfort and simplicity. Built with timber elements, they feel warm and grounded rather than overly polished. Inside, everything is thoughtfully arranged—clean, spacious, and equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Large windows often bring in views of the gardens or ponds, making it easy to feel connected to the outdoors even when you’re inside.
The service was outstanding. All my needs and questions were answered promptly.

BBethany_sI had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier.
Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle.
Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!

The location is truly exceptional; you can reach the riverside in just a 1-minute walk, which is perfect for morning and evening strolls and enjoying the river views. The room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet and comfortable, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. Choosing this place for your travels makes everything so easy, and it's great for taking photos too. I've included some real-life pictures, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. I recommend it to all travelers!

We drove ourselves, and there were plenty of charging stations and parking spots available. The front desk staff were very professional and handled our check-in quickly.

KKasiaGendekAbsolutely wonderful accommodation! The staff was very helpful and assisted us in purchasing tickets for Tianmen Mountain and the National Park. The location is excellent, close to pleasant restaurants and Tianmen Mountain, while the National Park is about a 40-minute drive away (via DiDi). Most importantly: the views from the mountain-facing rooms are breathtaking! It is a wonderful feeling to wake up to such a view!

GGuest UserI planned to tour the Glass Bridge thinking it was the same as the forest park. I had no idea the forest park was something completely unique. When we arrived at the hotel, our host explained everything about the different tours. Thanks to him, we were able to see Tianmen Mountain on the day of arrival and I changed my tour plans so that I could visit the forest park. I have never been to a hotel where they explain tours in such detail. Beyond friendly. Great service. Great breakfast. If you want an affordable place to stay that is near all the attractions, I highly recommend this hotel.

11726436714This guesthouse boasts absolutely stunning views and a beautiful, serene, and comfortable environment – truly on par with high-end luxury lodges abroad, but without the exorbitant price tag. The restaurant is also fantastic; I ate there for three days straight because the food was so good I didn't want to eat anywhere else. What really sets them apart, though, is their service. It's not the rigid, formal service you find at a five-star hotel; instead, it's incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always putting the guest's needs first. For example, if we ordered too much food, the restaurant would even proactively help us figure out how to save it for our next meal. Every other service detail was just as impressive – any request was met with a helpful response. It was such a comfortable and personalized experience. Getting to the West Gate of the Forest Park from here is also very convenient, as the guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services. They also provide incredibly detailed and professional advice based on your itinerary, making it completely stress-free for first-time visitors. I will definitely be back!

GGuest UserWe took the kids for a weekend getaway, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations! The hotel is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery and lawns, offering fresh air, peace, and quiet. The natural scenery is incredibly healing. I particularly want to praise the cleanliness; the bedding was dry with a faint, pleasant scent, so I felt completely at ease letting my child play barefoot. The breakfast spread was extensive, with Chinese pastries, Western desserts, and fresh fruit all available. Staff were constantly wiping and cleaning the dining area, so the tables were always spotless. Housekeeping tidied our room promptly every day, and the park pathways were regularly cleaned. The environment is so clean and comfortable – it's definitely my top choice for a family vacation with kids!

KKkoozzooWe had an amazing time at this hotel. Staff member Rain was very helpful and very friendly. Our room was pretty big and beautiful. The wooden details and furniture and bets are great. The pool is truly amazing. There are two pools one of the pools is heated and has an insane view on the mountains, incredible! The food is also really great and tasty. It’s located on the west side of the avatar mountains, the hotel helped us to bring up to the entrance multiple times. Highly do recommend to stay here because of staff the location the beautiful villas and amazing pool. Breakfast is also really good. Highly recommend.
