"I actually booked Niaodao Seaview Chaosu by accident, as my wife has had bad experiences with many seemingly beautiful guesthouses from photos. However, after staying in a suite at Niaodao for three nights, my wife was satisfied, and with her happy, I was naturally at ease 😄.
To be fair, the service attitude was top-notch, and the hygiene was excellent. We had unlimited complimentary mineral water daily.
The lobby (on the 7th floor) has a dedicated smoking room with good ventilation.
Gulangyu Island is right across from us, offering a fantastic first-person view from the window. It was especially charming and unique during the stormy weather we experienced 🤫.
If guests are returning from Gulangyu Island after 6 PM, they can take the Xiamen Ferry, which is directly opposite the hotel, just through an underpass. (Note: In the morning, ferries to Gulangyu only depart from Dongdu).
Right outside Niaodao's entrance is the start of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. You absolutely cannot say the location isn't good, can you?
The 24th floor of this building houses the tallest Pizza Hut in China 😄.
On the first floor, there's a 24-hour supermarket.
To the left of the hotel entrance, there's a Commue Western restaurant and bar. If you don't feel like wandering around at night, you can just grab a cocktail here. There's also a Starbucks, and across the street is Heping Wharf, where you can take various Lujiang River cruises and night tours.
There's also a travel agency on the first floor where you can inquire about tours to nearby attractions like the Tulou.
The double-decker tourist bus stop is also right outside.
A taxi to Dongdu Wharf takes 15 minutes.
A taxi to the cable car takes 15 minutes.
A taxi to the airport takes 30 minutes.

"The moment I stepped into this hotel, a good portion of my travel fatigue just melted away. The front desk staff greeted me with warm, polite smiles, and the check-in process was quick and smooth, without any unnecessary delays. The hotel is only 7km from Xiamen Railway Station and 16km from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Huandao Road, Shapowei Art Zone and Ding'ao Cat Street all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Xiamen hotel provides parking on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"First a warning, this is not a hotel but more like an AirBnB. So if you are looking for hotel services such as a reception, lounge, breakfast, etc, it is not for you. Once you arrive you need to ask two ladies there at the entrance to contact the owners of the place to come and give you the code, etc. Rather unusual experience but it works.
Having this clear, this is a very good option for accommodation in Xiamen.
The most magnificent part is the amazing view. The same view that the 5 star Conrad hotel has next door for one fifth of the cost.
The place is ulta clean which is the second best thing. Sparking clean and very well designed room. The battub in front of the window gives you an unforgottable experience. You can open a bottle of wine or make tea and enjoy bathing looking scenery for hours.
Next thing is very good service, when I requested couple of things they came to my room rather quickly and helped with my request with a very positive attitude.
Finally, it is very good for money, the location is great for this price. You are literally next door to one of the most luxurious hotels of Xiamen. There are many dining opportunities of middle level around and you are also close to the ferry port for the Gunggu island.
Last, I want to give some recommendations to the owners: the onlyt thing i can criticse is the lack of a portable thing for hanging my clothes. The hangers on the walls were not enough. Next, it would be great if you would leave couple of tea bags and maybe also instant coffee in the room. It would cost you little and would make the guests stay in the room rather than going out for it. You can also modernise the airconditioner output. It is fine as it is but could be more aesthetic and also better controllable. A little desk (in addition to a portable dress hanger) would also make you attract business travellers.
Overall I recommend the place and I would stay here again next time."

"I had a pleasant and satisfactory stay at the InterContinental Fuzhou.
The rooms are very spacious, and I especially liked the clever sliding divider that allows you to separate the bathroom area when needed.
Breakfast was abundant with a good variety of options, and the service throughout the stay was prompt and efficient.
The hotel is also very conveniently located, with the metro entrance just a 3-minute walk away."

Room is clean except that there’s some sewage smell in the toilet, probably due to weak drainage system (toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet). "First off, it is very very hard to drag a luggage through the entire ancient district into this hotel. The streets are paved with ancient cobblestone and engraved stones. It is impossible to drag luggage across it, so I had to carry 12 kg by hand. I was sweating under the afternoon summer sun. Thankfully, the reception ladies were very kind and I got cold tea immediately upon arrival.
Upon walking through the door, the water feature garden was quite breathtaking. I honestly had not expected to see such a design in Fuzhou. There are seats readily available, so you can also relax with friends in the courtyard or reception hall. Despite the lack of noise proofing (due to ancient architecture preservation), the room was also amazing with some of the best amenities I’ve seen to far.
The hotel also provides laundry service for free, which is a huge benefit in the sweltering Fuzhou summer.
In the main reception hall, you get fresh tea served as well as small talk if you wish. The sunrise and morning streets outside were gorgeous, so I wish I had more time exploring the district. There is honestly a lot to do in Fuzhou, so long as you are willing to avoid tourist traps.
Overall, worth staying here, but hauling 20kg luggage back to the subway again under the afternoon sun was crazy."

"We booked the two-storey villa and truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery within the hotel grounds, as well as the excellent service. From the doorman, restaurant staff, electrician, to the drivers — everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.
A special thanks to our Butler, Xiao Fang. She is such a lovely and caring lady — incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. No matter what we requested, she always did her best to assist. I changed my boat-ride schedule multiple times, and she handled everything with so much patience and professionalism.
Xiao Fang truly made our holiday more enjoyable and completely hassle-free.

"I chose this mountain forest house with the object for a long time, completely exceeding expectations, too suitable for couples to escape for a short trip!
The whole cabin is hidden in the whole forest, the black wood building and the greenery of the mountains are just right, and all the fatigue is removed instantly when you walk into the room along the wooden ladder. The large alien floor-to-ceiling windows face the mountains and forests, lying on the bed full of healing green, awakened by the breeze in the forest in the morning, the atmosphere is directly full.
The terrace private soup is our favorite surprise. In the evening, accompanied by the mountain forest fog bubble soup, there is a tea set next to it to chat, quiet and quiet, there is a sound of insects, romantic and private. The interior logs are soft and simple, the layout is clean and tidy, the details are attentive, the tea set by the window, the healing reading book, and the casual shot is a large film of a couple's atmosphere.

"Found a gem for our family trip to Xiamen! The Weishang Garden Hotel's family room is simply divine.
It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time.
The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly.
The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot.

MM5022****Our vacation ended, but we managed to travel during the off-peak season with our child. My little one absolutely loved it! The hotel is very kid-friendly. There's a dedicated children's heated splash pool that's shallow and even has a small slide. Right next to it, there's a jungle play net, and my child had so much fun they didn't want to leave. Our room was spacious and clean, and the balcony even had a large soaking tub. We'll definitely be back if we have the chance!

I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

GGuest UserPros: The location is excellent. You can take a direct bus from North Station to Lantang Station, and after getting off, the entrance is just 100 meters ahead. When sightseeing, Wuyi Palace is a short walk from the hotel's main entrance. From the Wuyi Palace stop, you can catch the scenic bus which takes you to all the attractions, making it incredibly convenient. Staying here eliminates the need for repeated taxi rides. The scenery is beautiful; if it rains, the misty Dawang Peak is absolutely stunning. The staff are simple, yet professional.
Cons: The hairdryer kept cutting out after a short while, which was very inconvenient for women with long hair. If this bothers you, I recommend bringing your own hairdryer.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and hygienic! The location is super convenient! It's very close to the entrance of Metro Line 1. It's about 300 meters from Heping Wharf, and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and Zhonghua City Mall are only a few hundred meters away! It's also easy to get to Xiamen Pier for Gulangyu Island! All within walking distance! Extremely convenient! The room attendant was very attentive and noticed we had a child, so she specially prepared kid's amenities and a small gift! The breakfast had a good variety of food and could satisfy the taste buds of different travelers!

The check-in process was very quick, and the staff patiently answered all my questions about getting around. Their service was attentive and thoughtful. The hotel's cleanliness was well-maintained, and its location made getting around very convenient. The overall atmosphere was comfortable, and I felt very secure during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling here.

GGuest UserI took a last-minute trip to Xiamen during the May 1st holiday, and hotel prices everywhere had skyrocketed. This place, however, remained unchanged. I initially thought it might be an older hotel, but the reviews were all positive, so I booked two nights. The location is truly excellent – right next to a subway station and across from a mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. While not brand new, it was well-maintained. Being a hotel apartment, it came with a large refrigerator and a combo washer-dryer, which is perfect for trips lasting anywhere from 3 days to a week. The machine wasn't noisy either. The subway downstairs made getting anywhere very easy. The room came with two bottles of water daily, which wasn't quite enough, but when I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately gave me six more. Overall, my stay was very comfortable. The only minor thing I found a bit unusual was the breakfast – it was very vegetarian-focused, with no meat. It wasn't bad, just a bit different from what I'm used to.

The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

GGuest UserOur stay at the Wyndham Xiamen was truly amazing, with the unparalleled, front-row sea view being the absolute highlight. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offered an unobstructed, endless vista of the azure sea, with the majestic Xiang'an Bridge stretching calmly across the water – the view was clear and expansive. Waiting for the sunrise over the sea in the morning and encountering the orange sunset in the evening, both dawn and dusk provided incredibly therapeutic scenery with a fantastic ambiance; every photo taken looked like a professional seascape shot.
The complimentary breakfast was truly impressive, with a rich and diverse selection. Authentic Fujianese snacks like Shacha noodles and vermicelli paste were flavorful and delicious, while Western hot dishes, exquisite desserts, and seasonal fresh fruits were all available, catering to a variety of tastes.
The service was gentle, attentive, and highly efficient. Any questions or requests before and during our stay were promptly and properly addressed, with staff being humble and polite. The meticulous service significantly enhanced our sense of happiness during the stay.
The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin. The hotel as a whole was quiet and elegant, making for an exceptionally relaxing and comfortable vacation. With its superb sea views and thoughtful, spot-on service, this will definitely be our top choice for our next visit to Xiamen!
