Pan Pacific Suzhou is one of those rare hotels where the stay itself feels like part of the sightseeing. It combines Suzhou’s classical garden charm with modern comforts in a way that feels both tranquil and indulgent. Garden resort setting The hotel is built in the style of a classical Suzhou garden, with courtyards, covered walkways, sculpted bridges, ponds and pavilions spread over expansive grounds. Walking around the property can feel like wandering through a private scenic park, with many rooms and paths looking directly onto landscaped greenery and traditional architecture. Direct access to Panmen Scenic Area A standout perk is its location right beside the historic Panmen Scenic Area, home to ancient gates, pagodas and canals. Guests typically enjoy complimentary or convenient access via a dedicated entrance, turning morning strolls or evening walks among the illuminated walls and waterways into a daily ritual rather than a rushed excursion. Rooms and views Most rooms offer either serene garden vistas or views over Panmen’s walls, waterways and even Ruiguang Pagoda from some angles. Inside, the rooms pair contemporary comforts like high‑speed internet and workspaces with warm, subtly traditional decor, so you get a sense of place without sacrificing modern convenience. Location and convenience While it feels like a secluded resort, the hotel sits in a prime Suzhou district with easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining. Suzhou Railway Station is only a short drive away and the nearest metro station is about a five‑minute walk, making it straightforward to reach popular gardens and business areas without losing that peaceful “garden retreat” base.

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

The place is ready nice and there many activities that adults and kids can do. Mostly the hots springs and the small let area. The hotel is a big resort and it has a pool with sand that makes similar to a beach. Breakfast could have been better with more western options

For my two-day trip to Nanjing, I chose the Jinling Hotel, a well-established five-star hotel. It's conveniently located right at a subway exit in the city center, making transportation a breeze. But the most impressive part was definitely the service. After checking in, I was immediately contacted by a dedicated '尊荣热线' (VIP hotline) butler via WeChat. Any request I had during my stay was met with a quick response to a single message. The Jinling's long-standing reputation for understanding and delivering meticulous guest service is truly well-deserved. I'll definitely choose the Jinling again for my next visit to Nanjing!

The hotel's environment and cleanliness are both great, and the cleaning staff did a fantastic job, tidying up promptly! The front desk service was very patient, and overall, it was a good experience. The TV has both screen mirroring and live channels, and it's super convenient to get to the mall nearby. We usually wake up late so we didn't book breakfast, but there's a food court on the second floor where you can grab a quick bite. Overall, it was really good! I'm thinking of bringing my parents back next time to stay in a courtyard room.

Huge thanks to the front desk lady for upgrading our room since I'm pregnant! We got an executive room on the 71st floor, which offered an even more expansive view. While the room facilities do show a bit of age, they weren't as bad as some other reviews suggested. Unfortunately, a major cold front hit on our second day, and the view outside was completely white, which felt like a bit of a waste of the great scenery. The breakfast buffet was decent too, definitely not as bad as some people claimed. The hotel's location is excellent; most nearby attractions are within two subway stops. The subway station being right downstairs was a pleasant surprise for my husband – super convenient for getting around!

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time. The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding. Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

The lady at the front desk provided excellent service. I usually don't leave reviews, but I feel they truly deserve a good one. There are two hotels with very similar names in the vicinity, which can be confusing; they're probably part of the same company. Delivery riders often get them mixed up. When checking in, be aware that this hotel is on the 4th floor of the Huawei building. If you order takeout, a robot will deliver it to your door. On the ground floor, there's a Cat's Sky City (Mao Kong) selling creative cultural products, and the food at 'Shenxian Shiji' (Gods' Market) on the second floor is quite good. The other similarly named hotel is next to 'Yaba Shengjian' (Dumb Pan-fried Buns). Upon check-in, we received welcome refreshments. We arrived early, and the hotel allowed us to check in immediately. They'll ask if you prefer AC cooling or heating, and once you choose, you can't change it. The room description stated the window was in the corridor or hallway, which is a bit misleading. The window in the room opens to a sealed decorative space outside, so there's no ventilation. Even without turning on the heating, the room felt very stuffy and hot. After I brought this up with the front desk lady, she helped us switch to another room with a proper window, and that room was much better. So, I highly recommend booking a room with a window. Otherwise, if the hotel is full, the front desk won't be able to help you switch. The room space is very generous; there's plenty of room even with two large suitcases open, which is a priority for us when booking hotels. All the hotel facilities are great, and the bathroom is clean. Because we switched rooms, I didn't get a chance to take photos of the new one, so the pictures are of the original room. I would definitely prioritize this hotel for my next visit to Suzhou.

Room was clean, service was great and fast, location was right in the middle of the city though it really jams through peak hours. But this hotel is so comfortable, added more colours to my Xuzhou trip

My whole stay at this one of the best ones i’ve ever stayed. Staff are all very friendly and approachable. And almost all of them are courteous towards me and my family. One of the Staffer, Wan Bin, was meticulous in handling my case and handled it professionally. Overall, the stay, food and and hotel staff is very helpful. This stay is highly recommended.
