Hotel Jelai is situated in the heart of Mentakab town. It’s surrounded by banks and abundant eateries and restaurants.

Location: Perfect as middle of Cameron. Easy to access Mall and variety of foods. Service: Firstly, the owner or management gave wrong location. Secondly, the key was located on P1 post box but lift at P2. Thirdly, at Lift B got 1 lift only, need to wait for very long to go to Homestay. Cleanliness: No complaint on it. Facilities: All good as the management prepared food amenities with fridge, cooker and electric stove. Other than that bed and room amenities perfect but the Entertainment system sucks, the TV useless for Indians as only got 1 channel to access other than that the TV and Room Fan remotes malfunctions. The balcony table is not there as on example. Anyway, i loved the location with surrounding entertaining areas and view from the balcony and window.

We booked a last-minute retreat just 45 minutes from KL, and it turned out to be a peaceful and secluded getaway. The ambiance was incredibly relaxing, perfect for unwinding. However, we noticed quite a few insects around during dinner prep, so we recommend dining early at 6 PM or waiting until 9 PM for a more comfortable experience.

The hotel owner is Chinese, so domestic friends don’t have to worry about language communication problems. The hotel environment is very good. I personally like nature and virgin forests. This hotel meets my requirements. It’s the most primitive feeling when you come out to play. The cabins are unique and I like it very much. It’s not far from the pier. There is a duty-free shop at the end of the pier. Similar to small shops in China, Tioman Island is duty-free Island, you can book a BBQ with the hotel owner. Breakfast is toast, nasi lemak, tea, and coffee. The hotel is not a five-star hotel. Those who mind are careful
