Travel Diary: Discovering Nyuto Onsen Village
This trip started out as a simple decision—just seeing pictures of the beautiful onsen and the hotel's breakfast and dinner package! It was such a compelling decision that I didn't even bother researching the location.
What surprised me most was finding my hotel near Nyuto Onsen Village, a famous historic hot spring village, with a clear view of Lake Tazawako.
I spent time exploring the village's seven onsens, each with its own unique charm and hot spring qualities, making this trip even more rewarding than I had anticipated.

I've already made up my mind that on my next trip, I'll book a hotel during a heavy snowfall so I can soak in Tsurunoyu Onsen. The sight of the outdoor baths in the snow is absolutely captivating. Soaking in the milky hot springs in the winter atmosphere is truly an unforgettable experience.

首先我在周六訂了這家溫泉飯店花了我33600元，我以為我可以住到一個大房間，但一切都在晚餐時間兩個睡墊鋪好了後一切都變成了不像樣，我們行李不能打開，因為沒地方，上洗手間要用跳的，因為沒有路可走，我真的一肚子的氣，會訂這家因為是LA VISTA 但的集團，但是吃方面不管是食材及味道是對的起此價格，溫泉出來的休息室也是好多的點心，水，養樂多，鮮奶，但就是沒有果汁，，這也是我覺的奇怪的地方，還有我們常經過了櫃台，服務員都當你是空氣，反正這飯店的方式都是若進若離，剛剛我們退房穿好鞋子，說byebye他們就回頭，也沒有到門口，真的是我期待太高了嗎

A localização era fantástica, com acesso direto à estação de trem, ao terminal de ônibus e aos shoppings. O quarto era provavelmente o maior em que já me hospedei no Japão, o que foi ótimo para dividir com um amigo. A área de estar com tatame era perfeita para sentar e apreciar a vista da estação, com os trens chegando e partindo. Não fui incomodado por nenhum barulho de trem. Eles também forneceram uma folha com os horários em que era possível ver modelos específicos de trens da janela do quarto. Os funcionários foram simpáticos e prestativos, apesar da barreira do idioma. Com certeza me hospedaria aqui novamente na minha próxima visita a Akita.

Hotel very near the station, not more than 1 minute walking.
Very friendly welcome. Room was spacious and clean. Window could open and let in fresh air.
In the hotel there was a small restaurant for guests with a nice local food menu. Breakfast was simple, but good. Restaurant ladies were very friendly and helpfull.
They keep your luggage if you arrive early.
In kakunodate things close early (in november?) So take care that you arrange your dinner plans in time.

The paid parking is conveniently located right next to the hotel, and there is a 7-Eleven convenience store on the ground floor, which is very convenient.
The hot spring is spacious and Korean-style, and it comes with a sauna room and a cold bath. There are three washing machines each in the men’s and women’s hot spring areas. Guests can also enjoy free massage chairs and complimentary ice pops (ice cream) after the bath.

移動手段の車がないと非常に不便ですが、非常に落ち着いて静かな環境で一晩ゆっくりするのに最適でした。
十和田湖、奥入瀬渓流から車で１時間強の距離がありますが、
同じ価格帯のホテルであれば清潔感と食事では十和田湖周辺のホテルよりも良かったです。
問題は周辺に歩いて食事に行ける場所が限られておりホテルで夕食を取るか食事を済ませておくのが良いかと思います。
お部屋も清潔で食事もおいしくとても満足できました。

A localização fica a 5 minutos da estação e a cerca de 8 a 10 minutos do museu de arte ou do Parque Qianqiu. A comunicação em inglês está ok

Amazing stay. The staff service is immaculate, took the stay with food option (includes breakfast + dinner). It's right in front of Lake Tazawako. There's both a public and private onsen (first come first serve, usage for 40 mins).

Um hotel recém-inaugurado no final de julho de 2023. Está localizado no centro da cidade, é muito conveniente caminhar até a rua comercial. Embora o estacionamento do hotel seja muito pequeno, há um estacionamento muito barato ao lado. Custa apenas 400 ienes por noite.
Além disso, por ser recém inaugurado, os equipamentos do hotel são todos novos.

PPockyBackpackDuring winter, the road for the last 800 meters before reaching the hotel is closed, and you must walk in. Guests need to park at Okama Onsen first. Before arrival, you are required to inform the hotel of your check-in time so that a staff member can guide you on foot to the property. The staff will help carry your luggage, but if you have many bags, it’s best to inform them in advance.
The highlight of this stay is definitely the walk to the hotel. You walk deep into the forest along towering walls of snow on both sides, and eventually discover the onsen hidden in the woods. It feels truly special and secluded.
The lobby area is not very large, and the number of staff is quite limited, but overall the service was very good. Dinner was served at a counter bar, and the chef was extremely friendly and spoke good English. The receptionist at the lobby, who is from Taiwan, speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese fluently. She explained everything clearly, helped carry our luggage on the way out, and even assisted with clearing snow off our car.
Personally, I found the public onsen area to be a bit disappointing. The floor was icy and slippery, which felt somewhat unsafe. However, the private onsen in the room was excellent — very private, spacious for an in-room bath, with a beautiful view and wonderfully fragrant mineral water.
The room itself was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Mobile signal does not work inside the hotel, but the hotel provides Wi-Fi, which was stable and fast.
Both breakfast and dinner were very good, and the hotel responded to emails and accommodated our special dietary requests, which we really appreciated.
The only regret was that the snow was extremely deep during our visit, making it hard to fully see and imagine the surrounding scenery.

The traffic is convenient, clean, the dining is delicious, the boss is very hospitable, because I don’t know Japanese, the boss is very patient to use the mobile phone to translate Japanese into Chinese and communicate with me, because I have to catch the plane. The kitchen gets up early and prepares breakfast for me. After checking out, the boss used the translated text to tell me that the snowy road outside is very slippery, be careful, my heart is very warm

AAlly2023We stayed two nights. It was a great experience. Room itself is good, bed is comfortable. Got onsen and free half portion of ramen and rice after 7:30pm, which is a bonus. Ramen is delicious. However, service for a part-time staff (a girl) was bad! This is the first time we experienced such bad service in Japan. First, her greeting was mean and rude, with no smile on her face and kind of ignoring the customer. Second, after we got the room key and get ready to take the elevator, we didn't know the way. She just kept ignoring us which a normal staff would show you the way to the elevator right after finished check-in. Lastly, after we entered into the room, we found out that the toilet seat was loosen. So we went down to the lobby to tell her about these. She was so unhelpful that she did not even want to come up to our room to see what happen, but just tild us to use the toilet in the lobby instead!
At the end, luckily there was another senior full time staff just on duty, we told him about this, and he immediately went up to our room to see what happen. Will give this senior staff a 5 star.
So other than that part-time staff (girl), all were pretty good.

JJacq HoThe hotel itself was nice and clean. The rooms are spacious. There's a heater and dehumidifier in the room. Food is buffet breakfast and dinner.
We were in the west wing which requires a bit of a walk to get to the room. And the main inconvenience is there is a flight of stairs to get up before having an elevator to the room floor. The outdoor onsen is in a different section to the indoor onsen.
The hotel is certainly geared for skiers as everything closes during the middle of the day (souvenir shop, onsen). So make sure you have activities booked in advance.
The website of the hotel is also a bit confusing with the number in-house activities available - be sure to check with the front counter first. Peak hour staff has good command in English but need translation for night staff.
A few things of note:
- the shuttle is very busy at the 3pm and 10am run - make sure you pre-book
- there is a shuttle to tsurunoyu iriguchi onsen 鶴の湯温泉 from a bus stop near the hotel, no need to take the public bus

NNingmengqing秋田必访的赏桜赏楓地一定是【角館】，它还是日本历史悠久的武士之鄉，被誉为“奥陆的小京都”。但这里住宿都很贵，尤其在桜花和楓葉季，更是一房难求，枫叶季我提前四个月就预订了(角館民宿風雅)¥996元/2晚含早的低价宿泊，所以这是为数不多的民宿之一。日本女老板英语很好，很热心，早餐由她亲自以當地食材制作，还对外供应午餐和下午茶，也有手作的食品販售。民宿有免費的自行車租借，可以轻松畅逰角館所有的武家屋敷。到这里入住的日本当地人和老外居多，还有台湾人，他们都會英语，像我们这种来自大陆不会日语又不会英语的老人纯属个案。老板娘恐怕我们有什么问题，特意请来角館高校退休的(华人)任老师来问我们有没有问题！老板娘得知我们明天要予约出租車6:30分送角館JR站，但角館的出租車8点钟开始，老板娘在百忙之中亲自送我们到火车站，真的很感动！但是民宿没有接送站服务的，我们抵达時打车到民宿800円。

GGuest UserAn absolute gem! The views stunning, and food is exquisite. The rooms are all recently renovated with wood and in a minimalist style. The hotel had a faint fragrance of cedar? Our rooms each had ocean-facing private baths and panoramic sunset views. I feel so recharged and replenished. The setting is remote but actually not that hard to get to given Japan’s excellent transportation system. It’s 3.8 hours from Tokyo to Akita and then a lovely 50 minutes local train ride to Oga. The ryokan will pick you up. (We opted to book a local shuttle bus as we were seven people with luggage and opted to stop at the Namahage museum beforehand to learn about local lore.) The hotel has a really fun aquarium nearby which kids loved—polar bears, penguins are the main attractions but we also enjoyed the jellyfish and deep sea local fish exhibits. Highly, highly recommend staying here. The staff was incredibly helpful and gracious. Teisui is in on my list as a place to revisit.

AAnonymous UserThe location was fantastic, connected directly to the station, bus interchange and shopping malls. The room was probably the biggest I have stayed at in Japan, which was great when sharing with a friend. The tatami sitting area was great to sit in and enjoy the station view, with the trains coming and going. Was not disturbed by any train noise however. They also gave a sheet noting the times you can view specific train models from your room window. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. Would stay here again next time I'm in Akita.

PPaulGXThis hotel is right next to a underground rock concert shop. It has frequent tenants who played there or attend the concerts there. If you are driving , you won’t be able to get their parking slots as it mostly reserved for the regulars. The nearby parking lots charges 400 Y from 4pm-8am so if you arrive shortly after check in time and decide to head out early the next day, you may use the 2 carparks that is right beside the hotel. If you can’t make it in time, the hotel cheapest parking option is behind Lawson where they have monthly season parking lots. It’s 600 yen per night from 3pm to 10am.
room wise, price to value is below average probably becos of high demand in the vicinity. As for cleanliness, can be better improve. My aircon filter and air filter machine was producing really moldy and smell air , probably from previous guests who sweated in the room. Was a big turn off lucky I came during autumn, can just open the window to get cold air in.
