room was excellent only thing was that the wifi was too slow only had 1 bar signal, same with mobile network.. hope you can do something about your wifi. but all in all the stay was great so thumbs up
Prior to arrival, I specifically requested a room with reliable Wi-Fi connectivity due to the nature of my work.
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi signal in my room was extremely poor, often showing almost zero bars and experiencing very high latency on both my laptop and mobile devices. Connectivity only improved when standing in the hallways.
Additionally, the room had an unpleasant odor throughout my stay. I had to regularly turn on the air conditioning in order to reduce the smell, which was uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Lastly, the room was provided with only one pillow, which was insufficient and negatively affected my sleep quality.
We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at Gwandalan House. We appreciate the prompt arrival of their airport service which allowed us to arrive at the hotel with no hassle at all. The room was very comfortable with nice pillows, warm water and efficient aircon. The breakfast was also good. The plaza and boulevard is also walking distance from the hotel but if you're tired it is also very easy to hail a trike which costs 15-20php per person. Will book this hotel again the next time we visit Dipolog.

The unforgettable experience, the room that I booked was given to walk in customers which ended up me and my children sleeping at the hotel lobby waiting for 7 hours (1 am to 8am, I pre alerted that it's an early check in due to our travel time schedule).
Thanks to the night shift staff (I forgot the lady staff name, but I still remember her face) who ensured that we would get a clean room by 8am. It was the day shift staff that released my room booking.
Still we will book again in the future.
Recommendable. Just need to call one day before arrival to ensure booking is secured.

Recommendation: pls invest in changing all the towels and bedsheets it is obvious that need to replace to look clean.

Staff lead of restaurant for breakfast needs to learn to communicate more. I was served sardines when my order was chorizo. And instead of apologizing for the mistake, she made an excuse saying that she heard me say “Spanish” and assumed I ordered sardines. This behavior is unacceptable as (1) she should have apologized for the mistake and (2) she should have informed me first that chorizo wasn’t available and if I preferred a different option instead of her actions mentioned above. Hope her supervisor can take corrective action on this.
Een aantal dagen verbleven in dit keurige hotel in de binnenstad van Dipolog nabij de sunset boulevard. Eén 2 -en 3-persoonskamer geboekt voor ons en familie. De 2-persoonskamer viel enigszins iets tegen door ‘uitzicht’ op een muur, daarentegen was de 3-persoonskamer best ruim met uitzicht op de levendige stad. Hygiene is op orde evenals de voorzieningen. Wat me het meest opviel is de vriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van het personeel. Het ontbijt is een ware belevenis met alle serveerders/serveersters. Echt hele lieve mensen waaronder de receptie en security, mede omdat schoonmoeder in een rolstoel zit. Echt een fijn hotel waar eten ‘s avonds bestellen ook mogelijk is met een grote verscheidenheid aan best wel lekkere en goede maaltijden.

The water supply is very good, amenities as well.
It's far from the city and ideal to have your own vehicle or rent a car to travel from the city back to the apartelle, vice versa or anywhere else in the city.
Areas for improvement:
Receptionists must be ready to welcome the guest because booking was made ahead of time and was informed of the late check in.
We waited quite a long time to attend.
The distance from the city must be updated on the website and travelling time.
The contact number also needs to be updated because the number posted on the website is not the correct number. Not contactable.
Words of appreciation to the management:
We appreciated so much that despite the no refund policy, we still receive a little refund of our entire 4 nights booking.
We only stayed one night because of the far distance from the city.
Overall, the place is still recommended.

GGuest UserI stayed for 5 nights. Room is okay, comfy. Smart location as well. Staff are also attentive to your needs. If there would be things for improvement, I think in the cleanliness part, specifically the towels, I notice that some towels are not properly washed even after requesting a new one.

GGuest UserWhat I liked most about the room was the window. The room felt safe and comfortable, although I was a bit confused about the closed door inside the room where we stayed.
The air conditioner was not as cold as I expected, but it was still manageable. The shower water pressure was quite low, and there was no warm water available, but we were able to manage during our stay.
As for the breakfast, I was expecting an English/Irish breakfast as advertised, but it turned out to be a Filipino breakfast instead. However, the food was still fine.
One suggestion for improvement would be to add a Smart TV or provide access to streaming services like Netflix so guests can enjoy their evenings more, especially at night.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Despite a few minor issues, the experience was good, and we appreciate the hospitality provided.

The only downside was the parking situation. Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis, which can be inconvenient, especially during peak hours. It would be great if the hotel could consider expanding the parking area or offering reserved spots.
