Hotel is within 5 mins walk from Kawagoe Station. Very convenient to travel with luggage.
Very easy to travel around the area as bus terminal is also nearby.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice hotel especially they have a door to close to separate room from the walkway/toilets. TV option can see if the washing machines are available 👍
Pontos a serem observados:
Os cobertores fornecidos eram grossos demais para uma visita no verão, mas os roupões eram perfeitos.
A entrada norte fica no segundo andar, acessível por escada rolante. As placas externas no térreo são apenas em japonês.
Great staffing with great service.
Able to catch multiple free shuttles from/to Wado-Kuroya station. I just have to make a free call through the Trip.com app to contact the hotel, although the staff speaks little English, we were able to communicate using google translate, make sure to use simple language to make it easier for everyone if you are only English speaking.
Train at this station is not frequent so best to plan ahead.
Only to improve on is i wish we have bigger room for 4 people with the price we were paying. But overall it’s a nice traditional Japanese Ryokan.
Very nice hotel. Although it's not in the centre of Tokyo, it's very well connected. Direct train to Shibuya, Shinjuku, ikebukuro and so on. Good local amenities, two main supermarkets (one opened 24 hours), Seria (¥100 shop) and so on. For the people who need to do big shopping, Uniqlo is just downstairs, the pharmacy nearby is such a hit with the bargain price we have never seen anywhere within Tokyo. The room is tiny but efficient, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We usually stay in Asakusa Tobu hotel when we come to Japan but it's getting too pricey now. I'd say Wako Tobu is just as good. Will definitely stay here again!

TIMEThis was my first time staying at Super Hotel Kawagoe. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly polite and helpful. The room was also very clean, allowing me to get a good rest after a tiring day of sightseeing. Plus, the hot spring bath was deep enough to soak my shoulders, which really helped relieve my fatigue. I was told breakfast was a 'healthy breakfast' and it was complimentary, but the variety of dishes was so extensive I honestly thought they should charge for it! There were even local specialties, so I had a hearty meal and felt re-energized for the day. My family has expressed interest in staying here too, so I'll definitely bring them next time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
GGuest User4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties.
Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.
XXiayudechuntianThe room was spacious overall with excellent natural light, making for a very comfortable stay. The bedding was soft and clean, ensuring a restful sleep. The staff were friendly and responsive. Breakfast offered a good variety and tasted delicious. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely recommended!
GGuest UserThis is the third time I've stayed at Toyoko INN. I can only say that the hotel is really amazing. Whether you are traveling alone or with friends and family, I highly recommend this hotel. The location is convenient, the hotel is clean and tidy, and you can get a comfortable rest safely. The front desk staff is also very good and can help at any time with any questions. The hotel has a luggage storage service. Although the check-out time is early, it is really convenient to store the luggage until you go out and come back to pick it up. The hotel also provides breakfast, and the self-service bathroom products at the front desk are also very thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserOur stay at Hotel Green Core was absolutely exceptional from start to finish! If you are traveling with a family, I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Here is why we loved it so much:
- Incredibly Kid-Friendly: Traveling with young kids (a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old) can be challenging, but this hotel made everything so smooth and relaxing for us. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and they really understand how to accommodate families.
-Spotlessly Clean: Cleanliness is always my top priority, and this place exceeded all expectations. The rooms and common areas were perfectly maintained and immaculate, which gave me such peace of mind.
-Flawless Experience: Literally everything was good. The service, the comfort, the attention to detail—it was all just perfect and well thought out.
We had a wonderful time here and it made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. A true 10/10 experience, we will definitely be back!
MMandy922The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, with plenty of dining options nearby. Check-in at the front desk was quick and the staff were very welcoming. I booked a standard queen room, and it was bigger than I expected, clean, and tidy. The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – so I slept really well both nights. The soundproofing on the windows was good; I could barely hear any street noise.
The desk was a good size, with plenty of power outlets, and the Wi-Fi was stable, making it easy to get work done in the evening. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the shower pressure was strong, hot water came quickly, and the toiletries were all provided.
GGuest UserHighly recommend!
We had 2 rooms, one with a private bath, the other was the special room on the 6th floor. The special room appeared to have the original materials and fixtures, which we appreciate. Everything was maintained very well. If I could suggest one thing, it would be having the carpet replaced in the room, as well as in the public spaces.
Breakfast had a good variety of western and Japanese foods. The fixed course dinner was exceptional, from the presentation to the taste.
One memorable experience for us was the table tennis. Our whole family had such a good time!
Last but not least, the service was top-notch. From the moment we stepped in the hotel, Kitabori was there to welcome us and ensured that we had everything we needed. His professionalism and attention to details truly enhanced our stay! We would definitely stay there again.
TTaiguofenggegeThe room rates in downtown Tokyo are very high. Although this hotel is not in the city center, it is not too far away. It is very convenient to take the subway. The room size is much larger than that of the hotel in the city center. It is very clean. Although the room does not have a bathroom, it is not a problem at all. The bathhouse environment is also very good. You can also take a comfortable bath. As you can see in the picture, I will definitely stay here again next time I go to Tokyo.
GGuest UserI used this facility during an event at Tokorozawa Sakura Town. It's located right next to the east exit of Tokorozawa Station, so it's easily accessible.
The hot spring facilities, including a sauna and a bedrock bath, are extensive, and meals are available until 1:30am, so I was able to spend a comfortable time there. I stayed in a capsule this time, and I was very satisfied with the price, including the services mentioned above.
GGuest UserRoom is tiny, but the bathroom is of a nice size. If you have a suitcase, there would be no space to open it up. I was staying only for a night and luckily only had a backpack. The TV volume is loud even at the minimal. Love the controls on the pad next to the bed. Room is clean, with nice view of the city. Service at check-in was very friendly, but early check-in is not allowed. Sufficient amount of amenities provided, including pyjama. There is a small fridge and safe in the room. Breakfast is provided in a restaurant outside of the hotel (but same building) the spread is small but tasty enough. I would stay again for short work trips to this part of town.
Also there is a combini and some restaurants in the same building as the hotel.
