After landing at Pudong International Airport last night around 10 PM, it was too late to go home, so we opted for a nearby hotel that offered airport shuttle service. We hurried to catch the 11 PM shuttle. In the morning, shuttles depart for the international airport every 50 minutes past the hour. The shuttle service was quite good. However, the hotel's facilities were really subpar. We were initially given a standard room, but the shower drain was clogged. The staff kindly upgraded us to a family room. Unfortunately, the sink in the family room's bathroom caused my right thumb to bleed quite a bit because the drain stopper was so stiff and wouldn't budge. The entire room felt quite stuffy, and the hotel itself seemed old and rundown. Even the new room we were given had drainage issues... Its convenient location is a plus, and for just one night, my expectations weren't high, so the price was acceptable. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it was enough to fill up. A warm bowl of congee was a nice touch too.

The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow! **Location:** Just a few minutes' walk from Shanghai Railway Station and the subway, not far from the main road. There's a FamilyMart and some restaurants downstairs. **Facilities:** A proper hotel with an elevator, air conditioning, and self-service laundry. The shower had good hot water. The wooden furniture looked a bit dated but seemed durable and of good quality. It appears to have been renovated, and the renovation quality is decent. However, I have to complain about the Wi-Fi speed – it was excruciatingly slow! **Soundproofing:** Average; I could hear conversations from the next room. **Cleanliness:** Relatively clean. **Environment:** Both inside and out, it was neat and orderly. **Service:** They proactively offered a room upgrade (perhaps due to fewer guests during the off-season) and could store luggage for us. **Breakfast:** Although breakfast was included, they actually provided a 15 RMB voucher per person to use at a neighboring restaurant. You pay for what you choose, and anything over 15 RMB needs to be paid out of pocket, which felt a bit like a rip-off. However, if you plan carefully, it's manageable. The breakfast quality was relatively average, but it was available from 6:30 AM, which is convenient for early travelers.

The hotel was easy enough to find for a hotel the has a reception on the 4th floor and no signage out front. The location is prime for access to the pedestrian road. Lots of sightseeing and shopping in this area. Short drive to all the key tourist hotspots. Beds were comfortable, staff were great to foreigners like us, breakfast was fine. The only thing of notes was we had no luck using the dryers and resorted to hanging out our clothes in our room. But this is a minor issue and may be operator error. We would stay at the Yitel premium again.

The front desk staff seemed inexperienced. When I arrived to check in, no one noticed me right away. I had to wait in line for two minutes before actively asking for assistance. (Though they seemed quite enthusiastic with foreign guests.) I redeemed points for a welcome fruit platter, but it wasn't delivered even after 10:30 PM when I returned from dinner. When I inquired, they told me I had to request it again – that it wouldn't be sent automatically. What's the point of redeeming it on the platform then? It took almost an hour after calling for my child's slippers and toothbrush to be delivered, and I had to call again after 11:30 PM to finally get them. I was already exhausted from a long flight delay at the airport due to weather, so it's hard to understand why even these small things took so long. Furthermore, they didn't even know the general directions (left or right) to the nearby W Hotel on the Bund, which indicates a lack of experience. However, the service staff in the breakfast restaurant were friendly and experienced, and the food was good – definitely recommend!

For a traveler like me, who appreciates the city's cultural vibe, this is undoubtedly the best starting point for exploring Shanghai. And the hotel's service has been a consistently warm hallmark for years. Every time I arrive, the concierge staff eagerly and proactively help with my luggage. That meticulous care instantly melts away the fatigue of the journey. The friendly greetings and professional service attitude of the staff always make me feel like I've returned to a long-lost home. This 'home away from home' experience is a precious feeling I find hard to come by in other hotels. The panoramic king room I stayed in this time showcased the hotel's advantages to the fullest. The room was spacious and bright, with a logical layout and impeccable cleanliness. Every detail reflected the hotel's unwavering pursuit of quality. What was most captivating, however, was the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window. In the morning, sunlight streamed through the glass, waking up the slumbering city; at night, as the lights came on, the Oriental Pearl Tower and the 'three-piece suit' of Lujiazui sparkled in the night, seemingly within reach. Whether it was the soft glow of dawn or the brilliant lights of night, the view outside the window was like a flowing painting, endlessly captivating. Here, I didn't need to rush to crowded observation decks; I could simply enjoy the Bund's day-to-night transitions and its spectacular scenery from the comfort of my own room. Over the years, this hotel has always been my first choice when visiting Shanghai. It's not just a place to stay, but it also holds many beautiful memories I have of this city. Both the continuous improvement of its facilities and the consistent quality of its service demonstrate the hotel's dedication and sincerity. Here, I experience not just the convenience of travel, but also the warmth and peace of mind of being at home. In the future, no matter when I return to this vibrant city of Shanghai, I will undoubtedly choose this place again, because here, I find familiar comforts, beloved scenery, and service I trust. 👌🏻

I booked a package at the Amari SPICE Penang through Trip.com. In addition to executive lounge access, it also included a Southeast Asian-style 'hand-grab' meal set (the 'hand-grab' part is a Thai term), served at 'Thai Ying' restaurant on the second floor of the SPICE Arena, which is in the same building as the hotel. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, blending a relaxed bar atmosphere with spacious and comfortable table spacing. Unlike other crowded restaurants where you almost sit back-to-back with other diners, there's plenty of room here. I was truly impressed the moment the food arrived; the extra-large woven serving basket looked much bigger than in the pictures, with more generous portions. It included shredded chicken and vegetable salad, grilled pork neck, crispy fried pork ribs, grilled fish fillets, pineapple seafood 'hand-grab' rice, and fresh fruit. The accompanying milk tea was rich and aromatic, sweet but not cloying, and the Tom Yum soup authentically captured the true Thai flavor. The dining experience was very pleasant, with all the staff providing enthusiastic and proactive service. Rose Zheng, in particular, not only reserved a window seat with a view for us in advance but also thoughtfully brought us complimentary post-meal desserts. Seeing that we couldn't finish all the food due to the generous portions, she proactively offered to pack it up for us. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

After a long search online and comparing various options, I finally settled on this designer hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The hotel's location is superb; right outside is the Old City Park, which connects to the Bund, Yu Garden, and City God Temple, all within easy reach. The subway is only about 200 meters away, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can enjoy the Bund night view from the hotel's rooftop, and some of the view is also visible from the room window. The room was well-stocked with beverages, and they even provided a humidifier as per our request. Both the hardware and software are top-notch! The breakfast spread was incredibly rich. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and all the front desk, security, and doormen were young, enthusiastic, proactive, and quite good-looking! They always greeted us first and helped with our luggage! We even received a small gift upon check-out, which was a lovely touch! What kind of manager can lead such an outstanding hotel service team? Five-star rating! Highly recommended!

Checked in at the airport hotel. The room was pretty standard, but clean and tidy. The main advantage is its proximity to the airport, making it ideal for business travelers or those with early morning flights who struggle to wake up. It's split into a South Wing and North Wing, with an elevator connecting directly to the airport, which is super convenient for getting to the terminal in about a ten-minute walk.

The windowless room was really stuffy, but everything else was okay. I mainly want to talk about the bathroom. The shower stall was incredibly tiny. There was no shelf to put anything on, and while I can overlook the lack of conditioner, I had nowhere to put my own conditioner, nor the towel. The showerhead only twisted to the right; no matter how much I turned it, it wouldn't rotate properly. What you see is after I managed to twist it a bit, but it just spun back as soon as I turned on the water. When the room door was locked, there was an intermittent beeping sound from the bottom. The room was quite soundproof, which was a good point.

An amazing Bund accommodation experience! The French minimalist room design is incredibly stylish, and the mattress is so soft, it feels like sleeping on clouds. Smart toilets, screen casting, and other facilities are all available, with thoughtful details everywhere. The butler service was an even bigger surprise; check-in was efficient, and they proactively recommended unique, off-the-beaten-path routes. The turndown service with small snacks and the high-quality brass luggage tag were perfect. They even organized my cosmetics by color, which made my detail-oriented self incredibly happy. The French croissants for breakfast were crispy and sweet, and the Shanghai soup dumplings paired with soy milk were a truly authentic combination. Breakfast service was excellent, and the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. I felt pampered throughout my entire stay. This place gets full marks for both value for money and the overall experience. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!
