"An attractive hotel in a former imperial complex (a library or something like that) offering large, clean rooms. It's up on the side of a hill but taxis/rideshare will take you to the front door. Also it's very close to the town center and is a short ride to the temples that are of interest in Chengde. They have a decent breakfast at the onsite restaurant, and a dinner service featuring local dishes that are supposed to be similar to what an emperor might have eaten. So you can dine like an emperor, for a fee. The large deer roaming the grounds stare at your with the big, sad eyes, obviously looking for a handout, but don't fall for it as there's plenty of grass. There was some construction going on, seems the buildings are being refurbished, but it did not really interfere with our stay. Signs in English and English-speaking staff at the front desk."

"I recently stayed at the Venice Waterworld Hotel in Shijiazhuang and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated and in need of renovation. The rooms were dark and old, with furnishings that seemed worn and tired. One of the biggest issues was the air conditioning—it was old and lacked a proper thermostat, making it difficult to regulate the temperature. Additionally, smoking is permitted throughout the hotel, which was a major downside for me as a non-smoker. The smell of tobacco was pervasive in the hallways and common areas, making the stay less comfortable. Breakfast lacked food for its guests. They were not being topped up according to the people who were in the restaurant. While the location may be convenient for some, the overall condition and policies of the hotel make it a poor choice for travelers who prefer clean, modern, and smoke-free accommodations. If I return to Shijiazhuang, I will definitely look for a different hotel. Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) – Below Average, Needs Improvement"

Ao fazer o check-in na recepção, também enfatizei que deveria ser providenciado um quarto para não fumantes. Entering the courtyard, I felt it had been carefully decorated. Chatting with the owner, she mentioned that flowers had been planted in the yard but hadn't yet sprouted; they would be incredibly beautiful once they did. The lovely hostess was very welcoming and recommended several attractions in Guyuan. The twin room I booked was on the shady side, but it was spacious and smelled wonderful. The toiletries were very complete. Although I couldn't see the lake across the river from the room, it was very quiet, and I had a great rest. ❤ Overall, this stay was excellent, and I must give it a good review. I'd definitely come back and stay for several days next time. The environment was fantastic. Especially in the evening, sitting in the pavilion and enjoying the breeze was simply wonderful!!!"

"去大灘無數次了，個人有點小潔癖，所以每次去，都會找當地性價比高，環境好，衞生方面很好的酒店住。這次去，查看酒店發現了這家新開的，看起來不錯，抱着嘗試的態度，訂了兩個晚上。 到了以後發現，確實比以前住過的酒店，環境好，衞生也很好！安靜又乾淨，整體設計也很用心。 接待我們的小姐姐，人很熱情體貼，讓人幫忙把行李箱拿到房間，還給了我們一份小禮物。當天下雨，天氣有點冷，跟我們説：綠豆湯，你們今天先不喝了，一直放冰箱裏，太涼。我給你們拿了兩瓶飲料，送你們的。真的很體貼！幾天下來，我們有什麼需求，小姐姐都能及時幫我們解決。點贊！ 酒店是在當地村裡，房間外有陽台，一眼望過去，周邊的景色也很美！我們選的房間，朝南，早上起來，坐在陽台外，在微風下曬着陽光，秋高氣爽，真的太愜意不過了！！！喜歡😍ps：9月初草原早晚有點涼，早晚在陽台待着，需要穿件薄衣服。 而且，酒店距離周邊的景點，不遠，位置都比較適中，去哪兒都很方便。 關於吃飯：酒店就有餐廳。羊排分量真的很足，兩個人吃，會有剩餘。價格實惠量又大！我們這幾天吃飯，都在酒店餐廳裏吃。吃不完，阿姨還能幫我們保存起來，放冰箱裏，下次過來吃，還能幫忙熱一下。哈哈哈，主打一個經濟實惠又不浪費😄 體驗感不錯，下次再去大灘玩，還會再來！！"
