My experience with the reservation of this hotel has been horrible, since I reserved a type of standard room and when I arrived at the hotel reception, they assigned me the room in the economic section that is located two blocks from the facilities of the Starfish Cuatro Palmas hotel. They are like accommodations apart from the main hotel, disappointing, at the hotel in Cuba they tell me that on trip.com where I made the reservation, they are not very explicit when making the reservation, they do not give you all the details, the The door of the room that leads to the balcony, had problems closing, we had to move almost two streets to go to the hotel, where the restaurant, pool and other services were, the experience was horrible

Very old house, furniture that has not been replaced in at least 20 years, indoor safe is broken, TV is broken, toilet 🚽 has no seat cushion, just a magnetic toilet, making it impossible for women to use it, I negotiated with the front desk many times, and only spoke for 10 minutes I sent someone to repair it, then went to the front desk, and pretended to be serious about registering, but still no repairs were done. The food was the same for three meals, the outdoor swimming pool was beautiful, and the beach 🏝️ was beautiful! The bus from Varadero back to Havana only leaves at 8:50 am and 4:30 pm! The bus stopped and went, and it took about 4 hours to cover the 70 kilometers.

No spaces with air conditioning for relaxing at the bar. The only space with air conditioning is at the main restaurant. At the beach you don’t have a close bar. Hard to have a cold drink at the beach. The plastic glasses at the beach are to small to take any drink at the beach.
The food at the restaurant is good and varied.
The beach and the water are amazing!

The employees were like family to us.

Well-deserved reputation, really good! Located in the middle of Varadero, connected to the long-standing golf course, the heights are scattered, and the design is unique. It is really rare to enter the lobby and see the sea green orchid. Walking through the coconut grove steps into the beach has comprehensive facilities and an excellent location. I walked more than ten kilometers along the beach, but this place is superior. There are igneous rocks hanging on the sea at both ends, and the scenery is unique! Looking at the blue swimming pool from the railing, there is an ocean across the coconut grove, which is refreshing! The all-inclusive warm and attentive service makes people satisfied. We stayed for 12 days during the Wimbledon season, and the clear live broadcast in the air-conditioned room should also be liked. There are enough varieties in the dining hall, and the service is particularly enthusiastic. We would like to thank the two waiters who took care of our Chinese drinking habits of hot water, and made us feel very comfortable if we can’t eat Xi’an! We are especially grateful to all the Cuban service staff who know that we are Chinese and show their friendliness. Excellent scenery, comprehensive facilities, excellent service, clean room, satisfactory dining room, full of joy The enjoyment makes us feel that there is more vacation life in Cuba than a cruise ship! Give the hotel a big thumbs up!
There are two suggestions: the soup is too salty, just do not add salt to the corn paste. The pressure of the bath water is low, and it will be difficult for old hotels to increase the pressure. The overall service is satisfactory.

Wonderful hotel, we finally had a proper meal in Cuba))
We had 5 hotels and Melia was the best.
The beach with the entrance along the cobblestones was a little annoying, but it was a little to the side, and the entrance was already beautiful, although there would be no hotel sunbeds there.
Due to the fact that the hotel is a Spanish chain, everything is really great with the food: jamon, cheeses, they will fry tuna for you and any meat. But the service is Cuban, if you don’t give grandpa a pretty penny, he will walk past you with water and wine.
The safe didn't work, the hangers on the nails were falling off.

This is the second time I made a reservation for my family as I cannot travel to see them and my own experience here a couple of years back was extraordinary!
The service in this hotel is unheard of! They are just to kind! All of them..just angels!
For those who haven’t visit, this is one to give it a try…I promise you won’t regret it…aaand cannot even start mentioning the cost effectiveness of this one! You have all type of activities available, and Great food….This is what value for money is meant for ❤️❤️❤️❤️ besitos a todos en el staff! Gente increíble!

I stayed in multiple resorts during this visit to Varadero and this one is by far the most beautiful. The pool is gorgeous, there are lovely little bars everywhere all over the property too with delicious drinks. I upgraded to a premium suite and omg would highly recommend. Everything is touch activated and it’s basically a smart room. The beach is gorgeous with turquoise waters. The only thing I can say negative was that I didn’t love the buffet food but all of the ala carts are included each night I just never had time to sit down and enjoy one of them. I heard all the restaurants are amazing though - so aim for those. Otherwise - this property is worth every penny 💕

The cleaning staff was amazing it was mold in my room (which I ignored as we just stayed two days) and they disinfected, cleaned and painted it plus they called the engineer to solved a problem with the water, however some things were broken in my friends’ room as the hairdryer and the window locker. Also I don’t know if was because the didn’t have enough customers but a lot of restaurants and facilities were closed.
