"⭐ Hotel Review: Merian Hotel, Cologne I stayed at Merian Hotel in Cologne, and I must say — the location and price were unbeatable! 📍 Perfect Location The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Cologne Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom). It’s incredibly convenient if you’re traveling by train or planning to explore the old town on foot. You can easily walk to shops, restaurants, and major attractions in under 10 minutes. 💰 Excellent Value for Money For such a prime central location, the room rate was very affordable. It’s rare to find a hotel this close to the station and city center at such a low price. The room was basic but clean, and included breakfast, which made it an even better deal. 🛏️ Room Tips Rooms facing the street or train station might get a bit noisy, so I recommend asking for a quiet room facing the courtyard if you’re a light sleeper."

"The hotel is very conveniently located, 3-5 minutes from the central train station. The hotel itself has several buildings. Ours was in the building next door; you had to walk down the hallway, go outside, and then go back up to the 4th floor. There's no elevator. We had a bunk room for four with two double beds. The second room is in the attic. The room was moderately clean, a bit shabby. This is despite the hotel opening in 2026. Apparently, it was a different hotel or some kind of apartment before that. The beds were very comfortable, the mattresses were excellent, the towels were new and clean. The nightstands were okay. The kitchen only had a sink and cabinets with doors that had fallen off. There were no dishes or a kettle. The bathroom door slammed into the coat stand when opened. The view from the window was excellent, directly onto the church. Overall, we're very grateful to this hotel, as it saved us. We accidentally ended up in Cologne during an international gaming festival at the end of August, and all the hotels were either fully booked or had exorbitant prices. This hotel was reasonably priced. Staying there for just one night was a real stroke of luck. We hope the hotel team can work out the room's shortcomings and improve even more! Good luck!"

"Very good location setting in front of Cologne Cathedral. ❤️ And beside Cologne Centraal Station. I can walk around the city day and night. Nice room and clean, good view to the Cologne Cathedral. Day and night i'm happy to stay here. Breakfast should to adjust cause expensive 17Euro but poor food. You can walk to have breakfast at a delicious breakfast nearly hotel. However i think Everything be good in this hotel."

"A lovely little hotel in a medieval style. The rooms are perfectly adequate for a weekend stay or an overnight trip. A big plus is the excellent breakfast buffet, which starts as early as 6:30 AM. It's also perfect for business trips."

"O edifício do hotel é antigo. É como um labirente e foi difícil encontrar meu quarto. O quarto estava um pouco cheiroso e a localização da cama estava posicionada. Tive dificuldade em abrir e fechar a janela. Ouvi alguns barulhos vindos do quarto ao lado. A água da cabine do chuveiro estava fria. Fora isso, a localização do hotel é bastante boa e foi uma boa estadia por uma noite."

Parece que existe uma verdadeira ideia de serviço. O meu quarto estava limpo e muito cuidado. Eu me sentia bem imediatamente e podia desfrutar da minha estadia em plenas trens. Outro ponto de adiantamento é a excelente localização. E particularmente agradável: Há muitas possibilidades de estacionamento gratuitos no ambiente – o que hoje em dia não é absolutamente nenhuma auto-condicionalidade! "Nice hotel - we had a double room which came with a view of the cathedral. The bed wasn't a double but two singles pushed together, which was fine. Beds were very soft, pillows were poor (very very thin). Overall reasonable for the money, especially given the location I would stay again."

"A localização do hotel é bastante conveniente, perto da Catedral de Colônia e de outros lugares interessantes. A limpeza é razoável, mas o interior é um pouco deprimente. Cortinas rasgadas, cadeira gasta e carpete arranhado não causam nenhuma boa impressão. Pelo preço pago por uma noite, tudo deveria ser muito melhor. Absolutamente não condizente com a relação custo-benefício."
