Got a single room with a private bathroom, and wow! After a lovely two weeks in Narita, Busan, Seoul, Macau, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, I never thought that Tainan would be my coziest stay, but it really was! My room was so spacious and clean, which was so great, since I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac about hotel sanitation. Spending my days wandering around Tainan and then coming home to the Red House, turning on a kdrama on the flat-screen TV, and drifting off to sleep on my comfy lil futon, genuinely might've been the highlights of my trip :) Great job, please keep it up!!!

I had a truly wonderful stay at here. The location couldn’t be better—right across from Tainan Park, it’s peaceful yet still within walking distance to the train station and local eateries. The atmosphere of the inn feels both cozy and refreshing, surrounded by greenery that makes you forget you’re in the middle of the city. The room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with natural light, soft bedding, and just the right touch of simplicity. Every detail showed the owner’s care—from the locally roasted coffee in the common area to the warm welcome when I arrived. I especially loved the small garden space where you can relax with a cup of tea in the afternoon. What stood out most was the hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready with local travel tips and food recommendations. Their genuine kindness made me feel like I was visiting an old friend rather than staying at a hotel. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tainan. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates comfort, warmth, and a touch of nature in the heart of the city.

住高樓真的沒有電梯、要想清、因為每天都要爬六樓，他其中一樓還有加高、住兩天真的爬樓梯爬死，因為這樣所以我之後訂的飯店都要看樓梯的

Important: Please bring ear plugs! the sound from street traffic is kind of echoey and loud. I went to buy some after my first night. Location is hard to beat. I got to try quite a few good eateries just by staying here. And there are street markets of different types within short walking distance. I was staying in a room on 2nd level and using the shared bathroom, but it looked like i was the the only one using it. Everything is clean and spotless, as if the place is very new. The hot/cold water dispenser at ground level is very useful. More hooks/hangers in the room for hanging clothes would be nice. The light feature above the bed and the full-length glass windows that allow natural light are very aesthetically pleasing. What was perhaps unusual and a bit unnerving - a first for me - was that i didn't see ANY person around the whole of my 4-day stay. I arrived late and had to do a self check-in on the first day so that was to be expected, but on subsequent days no staff were at reception, nor did i see any guests (though i could faintly hear them in their rooms on certain days). Is this a low season thing? Having said that, i found the self-check in and check-out is quite convenient and if you have connected with them over Whatsapp, they send clear instructions beforehand. They will also answer any questions over Whataspp, so i guess it's like a virtual receptionist?

J’ai passé une nuit dans cet hostel et je tiens d’abord à souligner la gentillesse et l’accueil chaleureux du personnel. L’équipe est vraiment agréable et disponible. En revanche, mon expérience dans le dortoir a été très décevante. La chambre n’a pas de fenêtre, ce qui est déjà assez inconfortable, mais le principal problème vient des arrivées tardives. L’établissement accepte des check-in très tard dans la nuit ; à 23h, un membre du personnel est entré dans le dortoir et a allumé toutes les lumières pour installer un nouvel arrivant, réveillant tout le monde. L’ambiance générale dans le dortoir était également assez irrespectueuse, et l’on sent que l’espace est optimisé au maximum au détriment du confort des voyageurs. Au final, même si le personnel est adorable, la qualité de sommeil est tellement impactée que la nuit a été très difficile. Dommage, car quelques ajustements pourraient vraiment améliorer l’expérience.

這次入住的整體體驗相當不錯。旅館的環境整理得很乾淨，也能感受到用心維護的氛圍，讓人住起來十分舒服與放鬆。雖然因為是老屋改建的關係，隔音效果沒有新式飯店那麼好，但其實在可以理解的範圍內，並不會影響整體的住宿心情。反而覺得老屋本身也多了一些溫馨與獨特的味道。服務人員的態度也很親切，特別是在退房時還貼心地送上餅乾當作小禮物，讓人感到很驚喜，也為這次住宿畫下了一個很溫暖的句點。整體來說是一間讓人感覺放鬆又有人情味的旅館，如果有機會的話，未來也會願意再次入住。

The place was very quaint and peaceful. It is only a short walk to the train station so it is very accesible. The room is small but was ok for us. Will definitely consider booking again when I visit Tainan.

My booking consisted of 2 double beds however due to a mismatch of details from trip, upon contacting the homestay, they notified that they only provide 1 double bed for every room. Other than that mishap, the stay was pleasant enough. Be prepared for the steep steps of Tainan. Other issues with the homestay was that there were no toothbrush/toothpaste provided, no proper bathroom mat (it was the spongy type), no proper heating in the room. The entrance was a bit hard to find especially when it gets dark. They provided 2 waterbottles for us and subsequent refills were obtained from the dispenser in the main area on Level 1. There is a public fridge and toilet in the main area too. Closeby amenities include street food alleyway with some clothes shops, 7/11, Watsons. Location was a bus ride away from Tainan Metro so relatively convenient! But .taxi would be even better.

A estadia era bonita, o albergue é muito bonito, há. máquina de lavar gratuitamente, mas tenha conhecimento de pessoas que movam as suas coisas enquanto se seca, esqueceu-se de suéter por causa disso!! Também o ar condicionado Pode funcionar melhor, há um cheiro acentuado Na minha sala Durante toda a minha estadia.

旅社雖然較有年代感，但設施還是相當齊全。為了隔天早上要去將軍漁港，所以提前一晚住在這裡。算是一個理想的好住處。
