It can be regarded as the best hotel in Siena, the location is opposite the old Siena Bank, the town is not big, this is also a relatively central area, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The hotel itself is also a 17th-century building with a retro style. Breakfast is not bad, children can use the existing bed free of charge, everyone pays attention to the age of children, the breakfast for children to pay 26 euros a day, this price can only be said to look at the environment and service, do not consider the word cost Haha. Next to the Siena football stadium, it’s a short walk from the attractions. Not far from the hotel, there is a supermarket that has delicious freshly baked pizza. There is also a rose restaurant that makes Chinese food not far away. If you are tired of Italian food, you can go Change the taste over there. The breakfast in the hotel is also very good, the coffee is delicious, the uncle at the front desk is very friendly, did not look at us differently because of the domestic pneumonia, parking is very convenient, not in the ztl.

We spent three nights at the Hotel Athena. Positive attributes include its excellent location, so you can walk to the Duomo in ten minutes and Il Campo in 15-20 minutes. Yet, you can still drive and park free in the hotel’s parking lot. Parking is crowded, as the hotel is quite popular; it is also a little challenging if your vehicle is large. Other positives are the room is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A small positive is the included breakfast, which is certainly more than the standard Italian breakfast; it wasn’t great, but it was more than adequate. The only real negative would be that the room we had was rather small. Looking at the floor map (for fire exit), it appears that those on the other side of the hall are larger. I don’t know if there is any difference in price or why particular rooms are assigned. I did see three people coming out of one of those rooms, however. In summary, I will probably stay here again.

This hotel is a little far from the center but close to the hospital, the rooms were clean and had enough space, air condition was working very good and the included breakfast buffet was good as well. we didn't try the pool area because this was packed with a british group and we stayed there for a city visit and not for relaxing. The breeakfast restaurant was as well packed with very noisy and loud british people they kept everybody busy and were not well behaved. The bar was nearly empty and the barkeeper served us very fast and friendly. Reception was fast friendly and gave us some hints and good advise for our city visit. The beds were very good and comfortable. Due to the fact that we traveled around Tuscany we could park our car at the hotel owned parking lot (for free)

The attitude is very enthusiastic and the facilities are four-star standard. It's a bit far from the city center. The key is the meal, which is great. The baked snacks for breakfast are unforgettable. They are not oily or sweet, but they are particularly fragrant. For dinner, I ordered a roast pork knee with plum sauce (a small amount, only half a pork knee, not a large portion like Germany), and I even licked the plate. I ordered a pumpkin leek soup for my mother. She has a bad appetite and feels comfortable after eating it.

When I took the room, I said that I didn't find the order, and I took a long time to get the room. Driving is ok, parking is free and the room is too old. No quilt. Only one can be covered like a sheet. Asked the waiter to give the quilt, and gave two very shabby blankets. . . About 2 kilometers from the city, on the top of the mountain. The price is very poor

Due to my stupid mistake, we booked the wrong week to the hotel next door...that's when Mr. Anthonio at the front desk came through like a knight in shining armor. THANK YOU FOR SAVING OUR TRIP!!! The breakfast was decent, and better than we expected, more than ample choices. The room was tidy and clean, close to all the main attractions (all about 10 minutes walking distance). Mostly importantly, this hotel has a lift, a must if you have large luggages. THANK YOU!

My wife and I spent three nights here on our honeymoon trip to Italy. The villa is very nice, well-kept, clean and not too far from Siena and other small towns in Tuscany. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom especially was well-appointed. We truly enjoyed sitting in the lounge having aperitif and cocktails each night, and one night had a yummy dinner in the on-site restaurant. What I really want to highlight is the hotel's staff. In particular, Elena, who checked us in and was at the front desk our first two days, was absolutely wonderful. From showing us a map and marking parking and sites in Siena, to calling cabs for us (about 15 euro to Siena) but she truly went above and beyond finding a few activities for us to do on one of our days there. She researched and booked a private horseback ride which was great but what was OUTSTANDING was the private cheese tasting she arranged for us at Podere S. Anna Organic Caseificio Company based in Radi. The breakfast was very nice, and bacon and scrambled eggs are included with no extra charge if you ask for them. The rest of the staff was also excellent, we saw the same people each day and they all made us feel at home at Villa Scacciapensieri.

A beautiful building, steeped in history. These rooms were once the apartment of a wealthy family - the history is documented in a brochure in the main salon, a public gathering room which was once the living room for the family. A photo book contains photos of the renovations of the building - fascinating how the current owner gutted the rooms while at the same time, maintaining the historical accuracy, restoring the painted murals, etc. The furniture is period and be sure to admire the stunning Venetian glass chandeliers throughout the common rooms. There are photos of the family in the common living room which are so nice to see. There are also books and games, very welcoming. The current family who owns the Residenza, is involved with Montalcino wine production. In our room, probably in them all, there is a bottle of Brunello de Montalcino in a lighted shadow box on the wall with a price tag on it in case you’d like to purchase it. There are bottles of wine for sale next to the guest fridge area in the dining room. On the top floor, there is a veranda for all of the guests to use, appealing fairy lights on the railings help to highlight the amazing view of Siena. Our room was the “Viridi Gallia” room. It has it’s own private balcony with a ”you have to see it to believe it” view looking down on Siena and the countryside beyond. There is a table for two on the balcony, which we utilized often - we would buy a bottle of wine at the nearby market (great local wines are so inexpensive!!) and a pizza and dine al fresco, best view in Siena. LOL, tip - make sure you have a dinner reservation at least a day in advance in nearly all of the local restaurants or you too will be having pizza for dinner on the balcony, haha! Pleasant though it was, there are a few restaurants we wish we hadn’t missed. Silvia in reception is exceptional! She is warm and accessible while at the same time, is knowledgeable and professional. We stayed at the Residenza for 5 nights, but our paths only overlapped once, when we checked in, as we spent three days touring Tuscany on wine day tours with “Franco Fadda Dream Tuscany”. But though we didn’t see Silvia, she was in constant contact with us via WhatsApp - always checking in to make sure all was well, if she could to anything for us, recommendations and touring ideas, etc. She arranged a car transfer for us from Siena to the airport in Florence which worked out perfectly. She always has the comfort of the guests in mind as her first priority. The rooms as I said, are historic and stunning - but definitely updated with all modern conveniences. The bathrooms are beautifully luxurious! Love the sink! And the shower is stunning, just be careful of the slippery marble floor when wet! Be aware that there are several flights of stairs to access the Residenza - depending upon your knees, no problem to go up but could be an issue going down. This hotel is really great. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, and the views are incredible. Breakfast is also good. But the best about this very nice hotel is the staff. They go out of their way to make sure guests have a great stay. As soon as we arrived they took the time to understand what we were interested in and to recommend us what to visit in the city, many places to eat, etc. When we checked out the lady in the reception was fantastic, and made us feel really welcome. They also offer valet parking, which comes very handy if you are traveling through Italy by car. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siena, and would 100% stay again.

The best hotel in Siena! If you decide to stay here (which you should) I recommend booking room 5. The terrace oversees the city center, the duomo, and part of the Tuscan countryside. I don’t think there’s anywhere else you can get a view of the city as cool as this. The room was comfortable and clean as well. While it’s easy to look at the photos and think the views and the room are the main selling points of the hotel, in reality it’s the staff that make this place special. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to help make our stay memorable. They made us a reservation at a Michelin star restaurant, provided a fantastic check in experience, and Gabriela was so patient and amazing helping me navigate the bus system so we could get from Florence to Siena and back with no stress. I hope to be able to return to Siena again in my lifetime, and if I’m fortunate to be able to I’ll be staying here again.

Arrived and given keys to our 4 rooms to get to sleep. Paperwork after breakfast. Good breakfast and again, coffee beautifully served. What a delight. Good rooms. We had a superior room. We had been to Siena a couple of times before but had never stayed overnight. Our goal was to do two full days of wine tours in the region. We had a problem with a bad head cold and needed to change all of our plans. The Battistero was very helpful in making this happen. We stayed in the St. Catherine room which besides being a good size, also had a terrace and a wonderful view of Siena and San Domenico’s. All the staff, Andrea, Rita and Patricia helped to make our two night stay a very positive experience. Great location, lovely breakfast and quiet accommodation made for a very good choice. Each member of the reception staff helped, with dinner recommendations, reservations, advice about getting around, etc. Something very special about staying here and we’d definitely stay again. Stayed in the Diamonte Room and despite it being Palio time and being in the centre of Siena, it was so quiet and cool. It's an old building and although there is a small elevator you will have to negotiate some stairs. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace and refreshments available all day in the reception area. We had a few glitches with our Palio vouchers and the staff were so helpful sorting it out. Prior to arriving we were contacted about parking as the Hotel is in the restricted zone so it was simpler to get the valet service. It was super efficient, securely garaged our car for 4 days, dropped and picked us up at the Hotel. The hotel is elegant however the staff are the element that made our stay truly memorable

What a lovely property in a unique setting! Our check in was smooth but after a long day of travel and storm Ciaran delays we would have appreciated being able to get into our room to relax for a moment before being made to recite each item we might want for breakfast the following day! That being said, breakfast was truly excellent. We enjoyed the lovely cakes and cappuccino immensely. Our room was not nearly as spacious as those in Florence and Rome, but it was rustic and comfortable just the same. We were anxious to have a cold drink after a long travel day but unfortunately the fridge did not work. Staff responded quickly but instead of a quick swap, they chose to turn it upside down for several hours. It was only a minor inconvenience but certainly would have been better checked before guests arrive! We definitely appreciated the comfortable bed and quality linens. And for hot water and pressure, the shower is one of the best we have experienced anywhere in the world! The most incredible disappointment for us was reading all of the marketing hype about ”family” and ”service” and ”attention to detail” and yet not a single person introduced themselves. Not ever over a six day stay. Furthermore, we had advance correspondence about choosing Borgo Grondaie for our 40th anniversary. Not a single mention of our anniversary even though they were aware. (Well wishes or a glass of Prosecco would certainly be the norm in Canada.) This may be something not done in Italy but it would have been easy and free for the hotel staff to do. The most unacceptable was the fact that never were we called by our names! Not even once. Not ever. Not one time! Doing what all the marketing says they do would have gone a long way to make this a memorable stay. Instead what we will remember is a ”promise” that was not fulfilled.

Siena: Finding spacious accommodation for a family of five (with teenagers) can be a challenge. Paradiso apartment accommodation in Siena exceeded our expectations. Fabio on reception was friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. The apartment is across the road in an attractive old stone brick building with green shuttered windows. Our 2 bedroom apartment was on the second floor. An easy climb up stairs with cases. Fabio gave us a personal tour on checkin and oriented us to the town and provided us with a map. The front door opens into a large lounge with terrazzo floors and frescoed ceiling, with 2 big couches, one was made up nicely into a single bed. The view onto a courtyard below is delightful. The kitchen is big with views down to the cobbled street and adjacent stone buildings. A minibar in the fridge is even reasonably priced! A further 2 double bedrooms are down a long corridor with 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom is largest, again with lovely views to courtyard below. Squeaky clean, crisp bed linen, fluffy towels, plenty of room for cases and excellent WiFi. Highly recommend for family of 5-6 people. Ask Fabio too for restaurant recommendations. Wished we had stayed more than one night. Reasonable rates. We booked direct via email. We arrived by bus - approx 12 min walk along cobbled streets however clear parking instructions provided if arriving by car.

First of all, the service is very good. The front desk is super welcoming. It is the most enthusiastic hotel I have stayed at in Italy in two years. Seeing that I am a foreigner and I always communicate very slowly in English, I said that I can speak Italian with me, and then the waiter hurriedly I am sorry, and then answered my question patiently. The public environment is very artistic and retro. There is a garden outside. It is comfortable to sit on the sofa in the garden at night. The room is comfortable and the facilities are complete. The only shortcoming is that the breakfast is not. It’s made now, it feels like it was bought in the supermarket and eaten directly, and there are fewer varieties, overall it’s not bad, after all, the house price is relatively low, it’s good value for money 😁

Suggest this accomodation is good for a one or two night stay in Siena. Alberto is a wonderful host, makes one feel welcome and takes time to answer any queries, also is a wonderful source of information for things to do in Siena. We had a two night stay our room was clean and comfortable and quiet, the bedroom was on the small side, bed comfortable. Bathroom had a good sized shower, plenty of hot water. Wardrobe space adequate, there was a safe in the wardrobe, it is not fixed to a wall or anything! The safe was difficult to access as it was located on the floor of the wardrobe. We travelled light but if you have a lot of luggage or have mobility issues the steps may be an issue approx 32 steps. The building is a medieval one therefore doesn’t have a lift. Breakfast is continental , breads pastries, cakes, cold meat and cheese, juice, cereals, yoghurt, tea or coffee. You can also get a boiled egg if you want. If everyone is at breakfast at the same time the room is cramped, and getting in and out of chair is very awkward. The location of this B&B is centrally located so walking to shops and close to popular tourist locations. As mentioned Alberto is an excellent host .

This hotel is perfect! The location is as central you could hope to be, exactly between Il Campo and the Duomo. The rooms have been cleverly built within a very old building, small but perfectly formed, and decorated with lovely trompe l’oeil designs. The shower is the best I’ve encountered in my 56 years on this planet, and the air conditioning and lighting are perfect. A small fridge is provided among the spanking-new furnishings. The hotel room is absolutely silent, somehow - we were there during the very hectic and busy Palio preparations but the hotel room was always quiet. I travel with a sleep mask as I can’t sleep if the room is light after sunrise, but I didn’t need it here. Massimo and Ada are always around, either in person or reachable by WhatsApp and provide helpful and friendly advice and help with things like restaurant bookings and sightseeing recommendations. I really can’t think of anything more that anyone could want from a hotel, really. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back as 3 nights were not enough in this fantastic city.

Suggest this accomodation is good for a one or two night stay in Siena. Alberto is a wonderful host, makes one feel welcome and takes time to answer any queries, also is a wonderful source of information for things to do in Siena. We had a two night stay our room was clean and comfortable and quiet, the bedroom was on the small side, bed comfortable. Bathroom had a good sized shower, plenty of hot water. Wardrobe space adequate, there was a safe in the wardrobe, it is not fixed to a wall or anything! The safe was difficult to access as it was located on the floor of the wardrobe. We travelled light but if you have a lot of luggage or have mobility issues the steps may be an issue approx 32 steps. The building is a medieval one therefore doesn’t have a lift. Breakfast is continental , breads pastries, cakes, cold meat and cheese, juice, cereals, yoghurt, tea or coffee. You can also get a boiled egg if you want. If everyone is at breakfast at the same time the room is cramped, and getting in and out of chair is very awkward. The location of this B&B is centrally located so walking to shops and close to popular tourist locations. As mentioned Alberto is an excellent host .

We spent four nights in Palazzo del Magnifico and were delighted with our choice of B&B. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. This husband and wife team do everything they can to make your stay in Siena wonderful. Our room looked out at the rear of the Cathedral onto a piazza, which is a stunning sight. Fresh towels, ultra clean room and bathroom, with a piping hot shower. We were even able to borrow an iron to press my shirt for a wedding. Filippo set out the buffet breakfast, a table laden with a wide choice of goodies: juices, croissants, cakes, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, conserves, cereal, ham, cheese. Plus he brought tea or coffee to our table with refills as required. Those breakfasts were fuel for our days in Siena. The Palazzo has lots of history (see their website), and we found it nicely located with just a short walk to Il Campo ( where the Palio takes place). A small supermarket is just three minutes away. Our host were great. Filippo even booked us a taxi to take us to the train station on our last day. I recommend Palazzo del Magnifico unreservedly. I shall stay there again if I return to Siena.

We had been to Siena a couple of times before but had never stayed overnight. Our goal was to do two full days of wine tours in the region. We had a problem with a bad head cold and needed to change all of our plans. The Battistero was very helpful in making this happen. We stayed in the St. Catherine room which besides being a good size, also had a terrace and a wonderful view of Siena and San Domenico’s. All the staff, Andrea, Rita and Patricia helped to make our two night stay a very positive experience. Great location, lovely breakfast and quiet accommodation made for a very good choice. Each member of the reception staff helped, with dinner recommendations, reservations, advice about getting around, etc. Something very special about staying here and we’d definitely stay again. The best hotel in Siena! If you decide to stay here (which you should) I recommend booking room 5. The terrace oversees the city center, the duomo, and part of the Tuscan countryside. I don’t think there’s anywhere else you can get a view of the city as cool as this. The room was comfortable and clean as well. While it’s easy to look at the photos and think the views and the room are the main selling points of the hotel, in reality it’s the staff that make this place special. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to help make our stay memorable. They made us a reservation at a Michelin star restaurant, provided a fantastic check in experience, and Gabriela was so patient and amazing helping me navigate the bus system so we could get from Florence to Siena and back with no stress. I hope to be able to return to Siena again in my lifetime, and if I’m fortunate to be able to I’ll be staying here again.

Location: I came by bus from Rome. It is about 400 meters away from the Piazza Gramusci bus stop. It is very convenient. The nearest one is NH, just get off Hygiene: As a homestay hotel, it is already excellent Facilities: There is no elevator, so it takes physical effort to carry boxes! No slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush, others (including electric kettle) View: The landscape double bed room is the scenery by pushing the window. The landscape room with balcony is recommended. I have already booked it when I booked it. Unfortunately Ps: Pay attention to the opening hours of the front desk in the store. After booking, Ctrip will email or call you to inform you of the opening hours of the front desk.

Excellent location and a great little flat, but the lack of communication destroyed it for us. We knew we’d be late, and rang a day ahead to inform and make sure they knew. Unfortunately the young man who answered the phone had no interest, nrither in his guests or job. We arrived late and tried to ring again from the road, and send an e-mail, but no respons. We stood outside the locked door and rang the emergency cell phone number that we could see on a sign in the reception. Straight to voice mail. We could see the little basket with an envelope with our name on on the reception desk, behind the locked door!! Luckily the lovely family restaurant next door was still open and the friendly owner knew the code for the front door and let us in!! Slept in a nice bed that night, not in our car. Next morning we told the lady at the reception and she said she was sorry. Oh well, so are we. Customer service at its worse.

Great farm hotel! The farmhouse is located on a hill with a superb view and overlooking Siena. It was raining all the way to Florence, and it was raining in the farm. The sky in Siena was beautiful! The owner is a 70-year-old woman, very kind and very serious, and carefully introduced the nearby attractions worth visiting. Because of three people, we booked an apartment with a separate living room dining room. The sofa in the living room is a sofa bed that can be unfolded. The sheets and towels are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the tea bags and snacks are delicious! When I got up in the morning, I found out that the original farmhouse had its own laundry room and it was fully equipped. There is a big supermarket opposite Siena’s out-of-town station. You can go back and buy the breakfast materials yourself. Sitting in the morning and looking out at the beautiful view of Tuscany for breakfast, enjoy it too!

My wife & I stayed @ Castello delle Quattro Torra from Tuesday, 05/21/22, through Saturday, 05/24/22, in the Blue Room. Upon arrival, after ringing the bell, the massive castle doors were opened by a young lady, Gioia (”JOY-yuh”) who turned out to be the daughter of the couple who own the castle Gioia proceeded to load our luggage onto a cage tied to an electric lift that hoisted our bags 60 or 70 feet up through the open inner courtyard to a window through which she swung the entire load to deposit it in the open living area of the main level. She then signed us in and gave us an extensive tour of the place while pointing out interesting and unique characteristics of the 800+ year old structure. She also pointed out a ”private” area where her grandmother (Nonna) lives. We met Nonna later when, along with a woman who works at the castle, served us breakfast every morning. Gioia's poise and grace had us guessing that she was in her mid-20s at least, but it turns out that she was 16 years old - a gracious and poised young lady. I should add that the family owns not only the castle, where Gioia's father grew up, but a farm and vineyard where they live and have a farm-to-table restaurant, Ristorante Le Pietre Vive, where we had dinner that first night and where we were served by Gioele, Gioia's brother who was equally mature, poised and professional and, besides, had a superb knowledge of local vino which we sampled at length. All-in-all, our stay ”with” the Guerrini family was very memorable and included views to die for of the Tuscan countryside and the Siena skyline from the windows of our suite. Don't miss this place!

The room was a simple room, average Italian size with a small bathroom. It’s in the outskirts of Siena but one can walk if desire. It has a big parking lot, so RVs can fit in too. The breakfast was big and fresh. It was really clean and definitely would comeback because the service was really good.
