Excellent location. Very attentive, friendly and professional service. Spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated rooms. Sensory SPA, it was a great and relaxing experience. Breakfast with several options to choose from and with a lot of quality. Great outdoor pools, one of them covered and heated for those colder days. Realy hard to get out of there! Activities organized by the resort, we chose a walk that was very worthwhile.

We were warmly greeted by staff and personnel who are clearly proud of Vilafoia and its surroundings. Very helpful in every aspect: finding/booking restaurants, arranging yoga lessons, tastings, guided (walking) tours, or any of the many other things to do in the surroundings. Henk and Michel did a great job in turning this place into an excellent B&B. The B&B location gives you a beautiful view which can as well be enjoined from the nice swimming pool or jacuzzi. We had room 9 which was very spacious, had a living space/kitchenette and a sleeping space. Bathroom with Rituals products and the kitchen had a large fridge and a Nespresso machine. From our balcony we could enjoy the beautiful view al the way to Portimão. High quality breakfast with fresh (warm) bread from the local bakker, everything you would expect from a decent breakfast and Nespresso coffee. And very important: we enjoyed breakfast everyday out on the terrace with again that magnificant view. During the day it’s possible to order small things from their “ pool menu” (like a toasty, fruit salade, etc) and around the clock you can get drinks, coffee/tea, crisps, nuts, etc from their well-stocked self-service fridge/station. Tip on an off-day: we grabbed a bottle of sparkling wine and enjoyed the experience from the hot jacuzzi! All in all a fantastic B&B experience. Thank you, Henk, Michel and team. While there's no denying that the hotel is dated and some refurbishment would be welcome, all the essential elements were there. We slept well in a firm but comfy bed, WiFi was fast and reliable, Aircon efficient and the old fashioned looking shower was surprisingly fast and hot 👌 We only stayed for one night for a night out in Silves - a great little town with loads to explore and plenty of good restaurants and cafes - and we had a room with a huge terrace with a fabulous view of the town and castle. There is a good sized pool (plus kids pool) in a nice garden area, well sited to get full sun well into the afternoon. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come again.

Unsere Erwartungen an ein vier Sterne Hotel wurden hier nicht ganz erfüllt. Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß, zweckmässig eingerichtet und relativ neu. Die Außenanlage mit Pool ist in die Jahre gekommen und lädt nicht zur Nutzung ein. Das Ambiente im Hotel ist eher kalt. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Marmelade und Butter in Plastikverpackung allerdings nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Die Lage an der Hauptverkehrsstraße war für die zur Straße hinausgehenden Zimmer ungünstig.

Very good hotel. Very secluded, ideal for those seeking some peace. Nice area, great pool and well-kept golf course. Large, modern rooms with balcony / terrace. Worthwhile evening buffet. Enjoyed the time there.

Good stay, but the apartments could be better, there were no curtains on the kitchen windows and slightly uncomfortable beds

I stayed in this hotel as part of a tour group. I didn’t want to rate the hotel as average because the staff appears to really try to do a good job. You really need to have a vehicle if you were staying here. The beach is not close and there’s very few restaurants within walking distance. This is a smaller hotel, but it does have a pool. The rooms are a step above basic. The bathroom fixtures were newer. The hotel does not have an elevator. The rooms do not have a safe. Our tour group pre-ordered dinner two days prior and our dinner was very good. Breakfast is ample for this size hotel. The rooms have a small balcony. The heating and air-conditioning worked well. There was some English channels on the television. There was a tremendous lack (as in zero places) to charge my phone. I had to unplug a lamp in order to do it. The staff was always available when I needed something. The room was clean. There is a road right next to the back of the hotel but thankfully not many vehicles drive on it. I had a problem with mosquitos in my room on my third night. I don’t fault the hotel, but it kept me awake most of the night.
