My husband and I stayed here a few nights. Great location to City Center. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. We didn’t use the restaurant option because we felt it to be more expensive than what was offered locally. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We would consider staying here again. Not sure why they have so many negative reviews- maybe it’s expectation / perceptions?

Until a copple of years ago, sleeping in Leeuwarden meant sleeping in my mothers guestroom. Times have changed so i had to book a hotel in order to visit “Bosk” and “Paradys”. I rememberd from old times the post office so when i saw that it had transformed in a four star luxury hotel i booked it rightaway (even without checking tripadvisor which I always do). It turned out great. Very friendly staff and a beautiful restored buiding with decent bedrooms. Since it was only for one night we booked the smallest (and cheapest) junior comfort room but that was fine. They only point of attention is the fact that there is little space to put down your clothes. There’s only one chair and no table. On the other hand: there are lot’s of hooks to hang them and the excellent (rain)shower is sort of a ballroom in it’s own. We haven’t tested the restaurant, although we did have a beer at the brasserie, but looking at all the happy people in the sold out restaurant i think it’s quite good. We dined at the neigbours. Steef’s restaurant, pretty new but really amazing. Definitely Michelin quality. Well, looking for a good hotel in Leeuwarden this is the right place to go. It’s right in the heart of the city. Everything you want to do is at walking distance.

Wonderful hotel! Perfect location across from train station, and short walk into town. Very large, comfortable room with a little balcony and sitting area. The room had all amenities including a hair dryer and coffee/tea. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Very wide and beautiful modern room with a good bed. Bad room also very wide. Only sad that there was a little sand in the bathroom. Minpoint is that it is about 20 minutes walk to Leeuwarden Center. Also there was no refrigerator in the room.

We recently stayed at this hotel as we had to be in Leeuwarden for a meeting. The hotel is very new and very beautifully decorated. The lobby is very inviting with plush sofas and stylish decor. The bar also looks very stylish and it was a shame we couldn’t get to use it. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with a modern bathroom. I couldn’t fault anything in this room. The windows looking onto the balcony and motorway were noise tight so we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was outstanding. Customers were put into slots to visit the breakfast buffet where there was a very large selection of food. Finally, staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Every single person greeted us during our stay. The hotel is great and located not far from the city centre so an ideal place to stay for a quick visit. I would definitely come again, hopefully when all facilities such as the sauna and bar are open to everyone once again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The hotel location is great, right next to NHL Stenden University. I came back to attend the graduation ceremony. I just came to experience the hotel. There is free parking and no breakfast, but it should be good. I saw a breakfast buffet. Although the cheapest room was booked, the interior was surprisingly good, very comfortable and welcoming, and the price was very high. Free drinking water and chocolate in the room, as well as dried plums and nuts. Will book again!

The room equipment was very simple and came into the years. Nevertheless, everything you need was there. Breakfast was also simple. But little choice but toast, cutting, fruit and yoghurt was there. Who wants to make a great city trip and doesn't have any demands for equipment and ambience, can stay here more cheaply for Dutch conditions.

We were looking for a lodging with a small kitchenette whenever I found the Alibi Hostel. As a couple in our 40s, we didn't know how well we'd be received at a hostel, but the staff didn't blink an eye. The double room was perfect for us. The staff was very accommodating with providing us with a fan and one of the double rooms without bunk beds. The kitchen was well equipped. Two refrigerators for sharing. The mattresses were more comfortable than I would have expected. The bathrooms are kept quite clean with the shower and toilet facilities separate from each other. Pleased that they provided linens, pillows, and towels. The only small issue we had was that Wi-Fi went in and out late at night, likely when most people were using it. Regardless, would recommend. The building is very unique.

On the other hand: there are lot’s of hooks to hang them and the excellent (rain)shower is sort of a ballroom in it’s own. We haven’t tested the restaurant, although we did have a beer at the brasserie, but looking at all the happy people in the sold out restaurant i think it’s quite good. We dined at the neigbours. Steef’s restaurant, pretty new but really amazing. Definitely Michelin quality. Well, looking for a good hotel in Leeuwarden this is the right place to go. It’s right in the heart of the city. Everything you want to do is at walking distance.

Until a copple of years ago, sleeping in Leeuwarden meant sleeping in my mothers guestroom. Times have changed so i had to book a hotel in order to visit “Bosk” and “Paradys”. I rememberd from old times the post office so when i saw that it had transformed in a four star luxury hotel i booked it rightaway (even without checking tripadvisor which I always do). It turned out great. Very friendly staff and a beautiful restored buiding with decent bedrooms. Since it was only for one night we booked the smallest (and cheapest) junior comfort room but that was fine. Wonderful hotel! Perfect location across from train station, and short walk into town. Very large, comfortable room with a little balcony and sitting area. The room had all amenities including a hair dryer and coffee/tea. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed at this hotel as we had to be in Leeuwarden for a meeting. The hotel is very new and very beautifully decorated. The lobby is very inviting with plush sofas and stylish decor. The bar also looks very stylish and it was a shame we couldn’t get to use it. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with a modern bathroom. I couldn’t fault anything in this room. The windows looking onto the balcony and motorway were noise tight so we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was outstanding. Customers were put into slots to visit the breakfast buffet where there was a very large selection of food. Finally, staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Every single person greeted us during our stay. The hotel is great and located not far from the city centre so an ideal place to stay for a quick visit. I would definitely come again, hopefully when all facilities such as the sauna and bar are open to everyone once again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We were looking for a lodging with a small kitchenette whenever I found the Alibi Hostel. As a couple in our 40s, we didn't know how well we'd be received at a hostel, but the staff didn't blink an eye. The double room was perfect for us. The staff was very accommodating with providing us with a fan and one of the double rooms without bunk beds. The kitchen was well equipped. Two refrigerators for sharing. The mattresses were more comfortable than I would have expected. The bathrooms are kept quite clean with the shower and toilet facilities separate from each other. Pleased that they provided linens, pillows, and towels. The only small issue we had was that Wi-Fi went in and out late at night, likely when most people were using it. Regardless, would recommend. The building is very unique.

The hotel location is great, right next to NHL Stenden University. I came back to attend the graduation ceremony. I just came to experience the hotel. There is free parking and no breakfast, but it should be good. I saw a breakfast buffet. Although the cheapest room was booked, the interior was surprisingly good, very comfortable and welcoming, and the price was very high. Free drinking water and chocolate in the room, as well as dried plums and nuts. Will book again!

Very wide and beautiful modern room with a good bed. Bad room also very wide. Only sad that there was a little sand in the bathroom. Minpoint is that it is about 20 minutes walk to Leeuwarden Center. Also there was no refrigerator in the room.
