I spent a weekend here for a fantasy football draft with some old friends. Room was nice, restaurants were great & the blackjack dealers were friendly & helpful (especially given my lack of gambling knowledge & experience). The one disappointing thing was there being no recycling bins whatsoever in the entire hotel/******. Seems like an easy, necessary fix, especially given the astronomical number of plastic & glass bottles being thrown out. The reason I am taking the time to write this review is because of one incredibly kind human who is the Housekeeping Coordinator, Cynthia “Cindy” Wolfe. My wife recently gave me the first nice pair of swim trunks I’ve owned in my 40+ years for my birthday, so of course I left them hanging to dry on the towel rack when I checked out & headed home. I was devastated when I realized it, called the hotel & left a message, as well as sending an email. I was asked to give them up to 48 hours for a response…Cindy called me in less than an hour, confirmed they had my trunks & sent me instructions for purchasing a FedEx label for her to use in shipping them to me. I forwarded it to her and received the tracking info from FedEx by mid afternoon. The entire experience was seamless & Cindy’s warmth and kindness was a breath of fresh air while dealing with a less than ideal circumstance. I am so very grateful that she was there to help me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

This was my first time to stay in an IHG Staybridge Suites property. I was very impressed. First let me state that I am a die hard Hilton lover and I’m not sure why I even decided to give this property a try but I am so happy I did. The property is a newer property and appears clean and maintained. My room was very large and well furnished. The kitchen was large enough and well stocked. I loved the lounging sofa and large (50+”) television screens (1 in living area, 1 in bedroom). The mattress was super comfortable. There was a little sign that said the mattress was new and was a Beautyrest by Simmons Hospitality. It was super comfortable and if I was buying for my home I’d consider the same mattress. My only complaint, and I am running into this issue more & more, is that there is not a bathtub in the suite, only a stand up shower. I don’t like the fact that my choice of bath or shower has been taken away and now I can only shower. I like a hot bath to relax at the end of the day and I didn’t have this option at this property since there was no bathtub, only a stand up shower. The bath products smelled nice and the shampoo, etc. is the communal type mounted in the shower. The fitness room was well equipped and breakfast area satisfactory. All areas of the hotel appeared to be spotless. I read the negative reviews of this property but had absolutely no problem during my stay. I will stay here again when I’m in the area.

I arrived at Quality Inn on October 13th to check into a room I booked earlier that day. When I arrived I was told that I actually booked the room for October 25th. I explained I needed the room for October 13th. The clerks said she doesn’t have any available rooms and she will cancel the room I have booked and all I have to do is call the customer support number and I would get a refund. I called customer support they informed me that my room was canceled I would be refunded and they booked me for a different Quality inn that same night. A couple days has passed and I notice I still was not refunded for the hotel that was booked on the 25th of October . So I called customer support again on October 24th and they told me that they are unable to cancel or refund my money because it’s was a prepaid fixed rate so they informed me that they emailed the manager and to contact the general manger of the hotel so they can process the refund for me. I went to the hotel October 25th and talked with the front desk clerk the manager was gone for the day. I was willing to just stay the night instead of my money being completely wasted. But the night clerk told me again the room was canceled (she remembered me from the first interaction) and I should have been refunded. They had no room reserved for me. October 26th I finally get a hold of the manager and she told me. “I should have called earlier on the 25th if I wanted a room because they were all booked up. This was a prepaid fixed rate room that I could not get out of. And now the story is I should have called to confirm I wanted a room that I already paid for. They did not keep their end of the bargain the room should have been reserved if I could not get a refunded for it point blank. I asked for a free voucher for another night since she claims she can not refund me. she only offer a 15% discount. They got a free $115.02 out of me…something needs to be done about this. Horrible Customer Service

We are longtime HIE customers and were not disappointed. The staff was great and room cleanliness met my discriminating wife’s standards. 😁. My only complaint, within local management control, was that there was only one regular coffee and one cup in the room. And that was a relatively small issue. There were a few corporate design choices that I would have done differently. The closet doors are heavy with tight hinges but the handle is of minimal size and a bit hard to grip. The other item is that the Bathroom spigot barely extends over the sink. Same with the soap nozzles. Picky, picky you might say? Well, I’m sitting in the airport with time to share. 😁 Fact is, we’re on our way to Detroit with reservations for a week at the HIE in Livonia. Safe travels!

Quality Suites Lake Charles Downtown

Another Amazing stay at this wonderful Hotel. We stayed from 06/28 to 07/01 and I can only say amazing things about this Hotel. The newly renovated rooms are beautifully redone and beyond gorgeous, the staff made to feel like you are Family and the room is our home. The Front desk staff are great very accommodating. They did a perfect job making sure we were taken care of. The entire Hotel staff are all very nice and friendly and greet you with a warm smile everyday. Even the maintenance staff were very helpful to us and we saw them working in the lobby. I recommend this Hotel to anyone who comes to Lake Charles, especially if you're coming to Downtown. The rooms are super clean and Fresh, and it's right across the Lake. So thank you to all the staff who made our stay such a success🥰 we will be back.

This hotel was clean and comfortable and the people were kind and courteous. Their breakfast was better than most hotels I’ve been to in a long time. Not spectacular but the most important thing to me was that my room was clean and my bed was comfortable!
