Great stay. Good location. Clean room. King bed takes up most of the room however it’s fine for a stay. Friendly staff at both check-in and check-out. Breakfast was minimal, but Denny’s is next door if you’re needing a full breakfast. Will definitely stay here again!

Just 4 miles from downtown Kalamazoo, this Red Roof is just a mile from Wings Stadium and only 3 miles from Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. I am absolutely in love with the stylish interior and the cleanliness is impeccable I will totally be booking at the east Kilgore location in Kalamazoo Michigan again hopefully sooner than later ... I feel like a queen here ... Thank you comfort inn 1550 east Kilgore Kalamazoo Michigan if you don't believe me take a look for your self I have stayed at pretty much every hotel chain there is and this one here is right up there with the best of them... The owners should be very proud for.they have created a level of perfection that can only come through everyone on the team following dream of comfort l,hospitality and friendliness... We were visiting family in Mattawan and needed a hotel for a few nights in the area. So we had a choice of Paw Paw to Kalamazoo. Unfortunately we read all the reviews of all the hotels in the area, and to be honest, considered cancelling the trip. According to the reviews we read there is not a single hotel that is not bed bug infested, filthy, etc. We were very concerned about the availability of any hotel in the area that wasn't a filthy dump with horrible service. We decided on this property based on a few bright spots in a few reviews, but were cautiously optimistic to not expect much. My only real question, all those reviews, what the hell!!! Turns out this hotel was not only a pretty nice property, but the staff were all super polite, accommodating, friendly and helpful. The negative reviews we read, Twilight zone or something? keep in mind, this is not a 5 star Hilton in Maui, but it certainly lives up to the standard expected, and then some. Check in was smooth and quick, the parking lot was clear of snow, entry was clear, the room stood out by virtue of the maintenance, usually in smaller hotel chains you see the wear and tear on the room, ours looked fresh and well maintained. The beds and covers were clean and fresh, the window black out drapes were perfect, and the room was quiet. The breakfast was more than expected, a great selection of hot and cold, including 2 waffle makers (large and small) And the ladies taking care were always cleaning and restocking. We had a full kitchen, and surprisingly even a dishwasher, all in great repair. Only 2 'negatives” we had a 1 bedroom suite and they have a small fan between the living room and bedroom, and if used is a bit noisy(we left the door open) and the pool was ice, my daughter and I always use the pool, and we did here, but it was just too cold. This was likely isolated (maybe a heater issue?) and we were disappointed, but the quality of the building, people and breakfast outweighed these minor negatives. Thank you!

Food served at conference was not good, but food at Burdick’s hit the spot. TV did not work for 2 out of 4 nights. Toilets are so low to ground. Bathrooms are smallest I have ever seen for a hotel. Would have liked a lightweight blanket on bed, but beds are very comfy. We made hotel reservations early, but surprised we did not get bed type we reserved and in talking to others, they did not neither. Staff was all friendly.

In town for a Junior roller derby bout. I’m so glad I chose this place. Fridge, microwave, plenty of outlets and USB ports. Everything is clean and pretty new looking. The gentleman who has been working today, Trey, was extremely welcoming. Besides that, I’ve seen him working hard all evening. I sat for a while in the lobby, drinking fresh coffee, reading a book and was very comfortable. I hope to be in town again and will stay here.
