"The location is excellent — conveniently located near the main road, making it easy to find and access. Each room comes with its own private balcony, perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning mountain views of Kundasang. We especially enjoyed our time there as we brought along our own camping table and chairs, which made the balcony experience even more enjoyable. Parking was a breeze — we could park our car right in front of our room, which made unloading luggage super convenient. The on-site café also offered a good variety of food and drinks, whether you’re after a light snack or a satisfying meal. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway in Kundasang!"

"Arriving at 11.15am i was asked to pay a surcharge of 20RMB per hour if i wanted access to my room before official check-in time of 2pm. The hotel appeared empty. The rooms are clean with nice full height windows. There is bottled water, kettle, and 2 t-bags. There is no TV, no fridge, and no blankets, though blankets are available for an extra charge (the hotel is at an altitude of approx 1,200m, so its chilly in the evenings). Staff didn't speak Rnglish, but with Google Translate they did help arrange a taxi back to KK. There is no restaurant or eating options until you return to the main road - 1.6 kms away uphill. Overall, staff were distant but helpful when approached. I wouldn't stay there again."

"Это потрясающее место! В номере 2 кровати и диванчин,немного все уставшее. Но с учетом расположения все компенсируется. Есть насыпная парковка для машин. Можно побродить по чайной плантации,рядом классное кафе с разными блюдами с добавлением чая. Ночью слышны гекконы,птицы и т.д. нашему ребенку это было очень не обычно😅"

"July 2024 TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience. Long: This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time. Undesirable / Cons: -No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though -No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least) -No tv, no fan but cold in general -Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper. -Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example. -It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room Desirable / Pros: -Big room. Not smelly -Is cement board floor -Big single beds. Not smelly -Clean bed. Fluffy cover. -Water heater is working for family room at least -Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around. -Has a table and chairs in room -Lots of electrical port -Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz -Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel -Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito. p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂 p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!"

"The location is perfect and the check in/ out process is very smooth. There’s only one problem that annoyed us was the doors and the windows in our room caused a very loud noise whenever strong wind outside. Perhaps we stayed in Level 7, lower level might won’t face this kind of noises I think? But overall is good for the cleanliness. The room environment also good since they refurbished their hotel. The view from our room are superb!"

"Overall the room is clean, complete with basic kitchen amenities. The room has a spacious balcony which we enjoyed the sunrise view. We can see the Mount KK from main entrance and the back of the resort. Their staff are friendly and helpful. However, the only challenge is to control the water heater temperature 😆."

"Best spot ever if you want to catch a perfect view of Mount Kinabalu in the morning. Best time is from 6am - 8am. WVF also sediakan us breakfast, setanding dgn harga bayaran tapi kenyang dan sedap. The place so peaceful, senyap sambil dgr bunyi air terjun. Jalan menuju ke WVF dihujung jalan hampir ke farmstay agak ke dalam dan susur jalan berbukit, pls extra be careful. Di WVF ada kedai runcit yang serba lengkap ala2 spt watsons hahaha & they also ada sediakan add-on steambot RM25/pax. Harga byrn bilik setanding dgn accommodation & breakfast. Kakak2 receptionist sangat baik dan murah dgn senyuman. 😍"

"The journey to the hotel took a very long time because it's quite far. The road leading to the hotel wasn't great, but once we arrived, the view was absolutely stunning. Mount Kinabalu was clearly visible; we could see it distinctly in both the afternoon and morning. The bed was a bit noisy, it creaked a little when moved, and there were other faint noises, but we just ignored them. Breakfast was decent. Their fried banana fritters were delicious and crispy – perfect for an early morning breakfast. I chose this hotel specifically for the view, and it certainly didn't disappoint."
