Great value for money, super clean, comforable bed, beautiful river view from hotel room. Need to specific mention this hotel have very amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. (We left a wifi egg with charger behind and they gave it to us immediately when we check out!!) Walking distance to eateries and river cruise at the pier. Stay for 2 nights in this hotel, just a bit disappointed coz can't go to the rooftop bar due to events on both nights. Also need to mention elderly need to be very careful when using the shower room of the hotel coz their floor are made of marble. It can be a bit slippery. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and will come back next time. We had a wonderful time here, thank you very much.

It is a wonderful option to stay in Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located a few meters from the pedestrian street and that gives it a privileged location to move around on foot. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am and there are good Chinese and Western menu options. Just note that it is no longer a hotel operated by Holliday inn but is now called Voco.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

The hotel service staff are very helpful in making sure your stay there is as if it is your home. Especially the concierge area, willing to go an extra mile to ensure everything is as planned. I would still be using this hotel on my next trip to Guangzhou

First of all, I would like to praise all the service staff, especially the duty manager Peter, who communicated with me about the housing needs before my mother and I checked in, fully understood the core needs of the residents, and made arrangements that moved the customers. It was very considerate. The hotel has a great location and the decoration is elegant and dignified. We are traveling. The station in front of the hotel is connected in all directions. We can reach many famous attractions without even needing a subway. The room is designed according to the specifications of a hotel apartment, and is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine. I live in a suite, and the washing machine has a drying function. In Guangzhou, which is hot and hot, it is very convenient for me, who has to wash and dry clothes every day. The hairdryer is from Dyson, and the room is thoughtfully equipped with electric mosquito coils and a steam ironing machine. You can feel that the staff want to make guests feel at home. There are plenty of USB charging sockets in the room, which is convenient and user-friendly. There is PILLOW MENU where you can choose the pillow that suits you. The housekeeping staff even found out that I drink coffee every day, so they put some extra coffee capsules in the bag so that I could drink it with peace of mind😀 Although the hotel's catering is not yet complete, the scenery is almost non-existent, and the young service staff's response is a bit ****y. But you can feel the attitude of the other party trying to provide good service. In addition, the old central location just across the road from Beiyuan Restaurant can definitely be a reason to stay here again next time.

Fabulous historic hotel in the center of the beautiful YueXiu district. Rooms are huge, staff is efficient, speaks English, and very polite. Rooms have high ceilings, huge windows and very well decorated in a classic but super comfortable classical China style. Yuexiu Park metro station is 5 min walk, and next door is a Starbucks and McDonalds. Across the street is a new mall with lots of Chinese restaurants. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from Guangzhou’s famous clothing wholesale markets. Hotel lobby is huge and totally fabulous! Staying here makes you feel like you are living a life of luxury, but still at a reasonable price. One thing I would tell the staff to improve : showers need to be scrubbed better because any mold in the shower is unacceptable, even a little. This is a common problem in China, different standards than western cultures I guess. Otherwise, this is the place to stay. Standard Rooms here are a lot larger than at the China Hotel next door, and usually rooms rates for both properties are similar. Why not stay at Dong Fang and get a nicer room for the same price ?

The room is okay, the hygiene is very good, the service is also very timely, and the needed items are delivered in time. The environment is average. Later I found out that this place belongs to the old town of Guangzhou and it felt a bit chaotic. It's a bit far from the subway station, so it's not particularly convenient to get here. There is a restaurant on the third floor, where locals come to eat, and the food is pretty good, which is very convenient. I took my children for a leisure trip and had breakfast and dinner here. It's not far from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Beijing Road, but it's not close either. It is recommended to stay near the subway when taking children.

The service attitude has improved, which is good. The room lacked mosquito repellent sheets and not enough paper towels. The shower head is leaking. The hardware needs to be improved. The pot was removed before breakfast, thank you👍🏻. It is recommended to add fried rice noodles and fried vegetables. There are too few frozen food options alone. Or don’t use quick-frozen products. Just fried noodles, white porridge, and vegetables are enough. I basically drink soy milk and eat eggs.

My stay was pleasant . Location is excellent this best point for me. Room also very good. Breakfast not so much. They could do a simple fried egg one side cooked neither have some bacon . Toaster also was not working properly so wasted a lot of time making a toast . After 5 days trip this became very tyring. It’s more of a Chinese type of breakfast which is a bit of a shame. Nevertheless I rate hotel with a 4. It’s pretty good option . I will return I think.

The environment is clean and hygienic. The family room we set is spacious. You can see the scenery outside by the window, especially at night. It is very convenient to go to Beijing Road, Shamian Island, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. We walked slowly and received us. I don’t know if it’s the boss. Very enthusiastic, The only downside is that the hot water supply time is not long. If you take a bath, you have to wash it quickly, otherwise there will be no hot water, and you have to wait for 15-20 minutes.

This hotel is located at a plaza but has only 2 levels (level 3 and 4). Although the reception area is not impressive, the rooms were excellent. The twin bedded room that we stayed in were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. They even provide a humidifier unit in the room. The air-condition were excellent and the bath water pressure were strong. There's even piped music which you can control (located next to the hair dryer socket). Excellent service with impetuous honesty: my wife left her handphone in the room after we checked out and only realised 5 hours later. We went back to the reception and they duly kept it safe for us to collect. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Location is great as it is walking distance to Beijing Lu (shopping street) and also to the cruise wharf. For those who commute using the metro, it is located near Haizhu Square stop.

The environment and hygiene are good. The room I booked was too small and the beautiful woman at the front desk took care of the problem immediately. Parking is quite convenient. Amenities : Nothing much nearby the hotel, 600m walk to 7-E. Consider local residence housing area. If you are looking for hotel with big room, yet don't mind the distance from metro. You can pick this up.

According to LP Lonely Planet, the hotel is located in a somewhat run-down commercial and residential building, with different commercial and entertainment floors. Many young people and takeout delivery people come and go. But the 10th floor where we stayed was very clean and quiet, with a security peephole and free laundry. Clothes dryer. Our room has 180-degree large glass windows with open views, basic facilities, quiet air conditioning, hot and powerful shower, good Wi-Fi, and a 50-inch large TV that can only watch online TV. Downstairs is Huifu. There is a gourmet restaurant on East Road, Beijing Road is nearby and it is a 10-minute walk to Gongyuanqianji Railway Station. This hotel is cost-effective.

The hotel is newly opened, and all facilities and equipment are very new. It is also equipped with intelligent voice control, electric curtains, voice switch lights, etc. You can see the Sacred Heart Cathedral from the window. It's very close to Beijing Road. The noodles from the elementary school next to it and the small alleys in the residential area are super delicious!

It's on the roadside. The location is easy to find. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. It's not too noisy at night. The room is ok and looks clean. The price is good for this location, but there's no elevator and I have a lot of luggage. , it will not be so convenient to move it up and down. I booked a room at short notice, and I was worried that I would be in trouble. The result was better than expected, and I am generally satisfied.

Location: Not bad. Near the intersection of Jiefang South Road, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan 6th Road, Zhujiang and the Line 2 subway are all within about ten minutes' walk. Shangxiajiu, Yongqingfang, Shamian Island, Memorial Hall, and Yuexiu Park are all just a few bus stops away. Room condition: Neat and clean. The room layout is simple and comfortable, and the space for activities is relatively large. There is a washing machine and refrigerator in the room. The shower head in the bathroom has a large flow of water, making it very comfortable to take a bath. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, making it very relaxing and enjoyable to lie on. Front desk service: very good. We checked in in time. Because we were traveling with the elderly, we were specially reminded and thoughtfully arranged to be placed on the same floor. Thank you so much. A slight drawback is that the location of the TV is not good, making it inconvenient to watch while lying on the bed. The sound insulation effect of the second room needs to be improved, and the sound of conversations in the next room can be faintly heard in the room. Overall, the flaws do not outweigh the virtues. I was very satisfied with my three-day and two-night stay. This is indeed a great place to stay when visiting Guangzhou to explore the historical features of the old city. highly recommended! If I come to Guangzhou next time, this apartment will still be my first choice.

Overall, it's good. It's just over 100 meters away from Yide Road subway station. It's easy to find. Downstairs is an old neighborhood with Guangzhou characteristics. [There is a time-honored mutton pot nearby that seems to be very popular, and there are so many people queuing up.] A short walk away is the Sacred Heart. cathedral The hotel room is quite clean and has good value for money.
