This hotel combines the convenience of modern high tech with the spiritual beauty of traditional culture. The rooms themselves are constructed around courtyards that give a sense of what life might have been like in Datong many centuries ago. In the lobby and in the rooms, murals decorate the walls with elegant designs of birds or flowers. The cabinets, bench, and floors made of wood and the countertops made of marble work together well and draw on design choices that are classicly, universally appealing. At the same time, the entire room is wired with the amenties of modernity. The toilet has a seat warmer and a light that turns on when you lift the lid so that you can find it in the middle of the night. Similarly, there seem to be motion-sensitive lights throughout the room that light up when you walk in the middle of the night so that you can find your way around. The water in the shower and the bathtub is able to get very hot (which I love!) and has high pressure. There is also a top-of-the-line hair dryer. It's the perfect blend of high tech and traditional amenities! If I have one complaint it's that the room was so hot that I had to open my window to let in the freezing air, and still the room was hot! That shows how effective the heating system is! The serivce at the hotel is also extraordinary! All the members of hotel reception are very friendly. And they send someone to your room shortly after you settle in to give you a platter of fruit, which was fresh and seasonal and artistically chosen it seems. They also have 24 hours service in case you need anything. My friend went into the lobby early in the morning shouting about coffee, and the staff came out quickly to make him a cup. The hotel is also very clean. The blankets, the pillows, and the sheets are as white as snow. The floors are free of dust and dirt and smudges. Everything in the shower and toilet room was scrubbed clean too. And the shower drains smoothly without pooling any water, showing how well it is maintained. Finally, the location is very convenient. You can see that for yourself by just looking at the map. But I would like to add that just outside the gate of the hotel, you can see the Prince's palace, which is beautifully lit at night. What's more, my favorite restaurant in downtown Datong (I think the restaurant is translated as BeiWei Family Garden or something like that) is less than 5 minutes walking from the gate. There are also multiple shops for buying vinegar or wine or shaji snacks. In less than 10 minutes, you can also walk to all the major commercial streets. I love the location of this hotel!

差評！嚴重差評！很反感用顧客手機偷偷點好評，要好評一定會給的，但是偷偷點好評就過分了，入住2天，分別拍了2個訂單，第一天到酒店時候半夜11點了，門鎖鎖不上，防盜拉鍊也沒有，工作人員一頓修，也沒修好，換房間還沒有就這樣將就了一宿，第二天打電話我説説給我們換個房間，很痛快就換了，還送了一份伴手禮（2袋涼皮➕3瓶飲料），入住的都很愉快，第三天退房的時候，前台可能怕給差評，臨走時候説，姐幫忙給個好評，我説好的好的，我着急趕飛機，回頭給你們點，結果前台説，姐那麻煩你把攜程訂單調出來下，我看下您的訂單，結果手機遞給她們時候，就看到她們點了一下還給我，我一看原來是給評價點的好評，當時着急去機場就沒來的急評價，很反感這種行為，拿客人都當**嗎？全國漫心這麼多家，頭一次碰到這樣的員工，是不是應該提高下員工素質？

We took a 23-day trip through China, staying in 9 different hotels. Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Floral stood out in many ways. First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. Nossa experiência geral no hotel foi excelente. A localização é muito conveniente, perto de áreas turísticas e restaurantes. Os quartos são limpos, o chuveiro é perfeito e o atendimento é muito caloroso. Recomendamos com certeza.

Wow, I loved this homestay! The lively and kind lady who runs Yishui homestay is a good English speaker and very patient, so foreigners as well as Chinese will feel at ease staying here. It is a very hospitable atmosphere! Location is in the pedestrianized part of the old city, very near the Drum Tower. Therefore, there is lots to see/do/eat while walking nearby. But the location is also not far from the driving road, so it was an easy, short walk to meet my driver when going out to the hanging temple, the grottos, and the train station. The facility is an old-style courtyard home, with a beautiful wood-beam ceiling. The interior rooms are completely renovated and modernized, with great water pressure, all necessary toiletries, an excellent quality hair dryer, slippers, and super air-con/heating! (It was -3 one night during my stay, but I was warm and comfy in that room!) Clean towels are brought daily. Breakfast was included in my stay and I was very happy with the food. It is an ample Chinese-style breakfast, and you can inform the cook if there is some food you don't/can't eat. Although the breakfast was plenty of food for me, I saw a guest ask for more baozi, and he was kindly given 2 more. Fresh fruit was also offered for free several times during my stay. Within a 5 minute radius (walking), there are many eating places for lunch, dinner, snacks, and tea/coffee. There are also numerous historical sites (dragon wall, temples, ”mansions”, the Catholic Church, etc.) in easy walking distance. In fact, there was so much to see nearby that I was not able to see everything! The homestay looks very charming, and many, many people were often seen stopping to take photos in front of the homestay, as well as on the back wall of the homestay, which is next to a Chinese Opera stage--it is especially lovely at night! It is a 10-15 minute walk to the ancient city wall, where you can climb up and enjoy the sights, or visit a (Chinese) bookstore within the city wall, under one of the arches. My Beijing friends, who stayed at a nearby hotel, were equally impressed when they came to visit me in Yishui homestay, and they got the WeChat contact so that they can return to stay at Yishui homestay on a return trip--so easy to get there by fast train from Beijing!

Viajei com meus pais idosos e filhos, e escolhi este hotel. Inicialmente, queria reservar um quarto familiar, mas hesitei e acabou ficando sem vagas. 😮💨 Trocamos para um quarto com vista para a família e podíamos ver a vista noturna da cidade antiga. O serviço do hotel é excelente, digno de um padrão cinco estrelas. Todos os dias recebíamos frutas, sopa de pera e um cartão atencioso, o que foi muito tocante. 🥹 O restaurante chinês do hotel também é delicioso e com preços muito acessíveis. Ponto negativo: O sofá-cama no quarto de fora balançava a cama inteira a cada movimento, o que atrapalhou o sono. 😪

O hotel é excelente! Fui fazer um upgrade gratuito para um quarto com duas camas de 1,5m e ainda recebi uma cesta de frutas de boas-vindas, fiquei super satisfeito. O serviço de táxi do hotel é rapidíssimo, é fácil ir para qualquer lugar. O café da manhã tem muita variedade, começa às 7h, e mesmo com bastante gente, o serviço é ótimo, ajudam a encontrar mesa e limpam tudo rapidamente. Não é à toa que é o melhor hotel de Datong!

Ótimo lugar para se sentir em casa em uma área muito agradável do centro histórico. Quarto amplo e bonito, confortável e aconchegante. E, por último, para mim, o melhor deste lugar é a equipe acolhedora e muito prestativa. Já estive aqui duas vezes e com certeza voltarei quando mais amigos vierem à China e quiserem visitar as cavernas incríveis e a atmosfera incrível do centro histórico.
