"I played 36 holes of golf while staying for one night. The atmosphere was a bit gloomy because it was the end of the season, but it was a very satisfying trip. The ladies at the check-in front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, locker room staff, and caddies were all very kind. All the staff were always proactive in greeting me, asking for what I needed, and helping me, so I was able to enjoy myself comfortably. As winter approached, the golf course grass was quite damaged, but the greens were well maintained, and the course view was very nice and fun. "I stayed in both expensive and cheap hotels all the way from Beijing to Dalian. I originally booked Dalian New World, but there were no rooms available on the first day, so I just found a "special" hotel to stay for one night. Because I stayed at the Holiday Inn nearby last year. Although it was a bit remote, Dalian is small and it is quite convenient to drive anywhere, so I can accept the location of this sports center. After moving in, I was very surprised, hahahaha, it was very, very comfortable. Because it was for former players and coaches, the base is very quiet, the rooms are also well equipped, the service staff are also very, very enthusiastic, and the service quality is very high. The reception staff and cleaning staff are very nice. It is very worthwhile for friends who are traveling by car to stay here. And relatively speaking, this hotel holiday is really not expensive. Next time I come to Dalian, if I drive myself, I will definitely stay here again. There is also a swimming pool (unfortunately it is only open in the afternoon), a gym, table tennis, and a Dalian Small Ball History Museum. Highly recommend to stay. "Booked 2 rooms on a higher floor to enjoy the city views. Unfortunately there was a noticeable toilet smell in both rooms. Reporting this to the hotel staff we were allocated alternative rooms. They still had a smell but it was less pungent than the others. Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, its showing signs of tiredness in fixtures, fittings and facilities. We were told the hotel will be refurbished in the year ahead. Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of western and Asian cuisines. It gets busy, especially at the weekend. There is a decent sized pool though the changing rooms are in need of refurbishment to bring it up to the standard of other 5 star properties in the city. Room rates are currently low to reflect the hotels current situation, as told by a manager when the room smell was reported. Still a great stay thanks to its location and breakfast offering and the room rates. Look forward to its refurbishment in the future."
