We had a good king-size bed. The pillows were very good; just the correct height and firmness. The mattress was firm and comfortable. The bath towels were large, fluffy and soft. The room was neat and clean. The hotel had a laundry room which provided everything you need to do your laundry and ironing and it's free! The lobby staff were young, efficient and helpful. The location of the hotel was about 10 min DiDi ride (¥13) to the tourist attractions like 广济桥与古城. Overall, we were very pleased with our 2-night stay at Atour Hotel. Thank you! Sorry, we forgot to take any pictures of the hotel.

Coming to Chaozhou for the first time to check out the suitability for family travel. The hotel’s service is superb and the team always makes you feel welcome, from arrival to departure. They make sure they are connected with you on WeChat or mobile, so that you can contact them whenever and wherever (which is good for introverts who prefer not to speak face to face). The location is just directly opposite West Lake (西湖), and in the morning there is a small fruit market outside. It is walkable to 西马路，牌坊街，开元寺，广济桥 around 15-20min walk, but of course, you can take Didi or one of the trishaws outside the hotel. Even though it is not luxurious, what I love about this hotel is that I can leave without dirty clothes, because they offer dry cleaning services for unlimited pieces of clothing, once per day (till 22:00).

The review score was high, so I booked it for 2 days. It was really good after I came and stayed for another day. It felt really good. The hotel's health, service, and breakfast are not inferior to five-star hotels in every aspect, but the price is not. It is much cheaper, especially the breakfast has a rich variety, combining Chinese and Western styles, as well as local characteristics. What surprised me the most is that the freshly ground coffee can also be frothed with fresh milk, which meets my daily coffee needs. Ms. Chen Peixiang who checked in at the front desk was very kind and made people feel at home as soon as they arrived at the hotel. Seeing that the old man was old, she upgraded her to a larger room and patiently guided the old man when renewing the room. Mobile phones are discounted at member prices. All the staff in the hotel, from the parking lot security guards to the cleaning lady and the front desk staff, greeted me with smiles and made me feel that my stay was very comfortable. I will come back to this hotel again when I go to Chaozhou in the future.

The location was great; the food tour starts as you exit the hotel - many restaurants from roast meet to Teochew porridge. The hotel has all the amenities that a guest will need. Simple, modern with a touch of fun and colour. They have a laundry room and gym. Size of the room is reasonable and they put in effort to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Would stay here again!

The Dreamer Joker Hotel is a perfect place to stay. Especially because it’s located by most of the attractions such as The Ancient City. The staff was very helpful. Since I can’t speak Chinese well, they tried their best to communicate with me. When I called the front desk, someone came to my door to make sure everything was okay. The room is comfortable. Spacious as well. Equipped with all toiletries. I definitely would come back again and stay here. Happy to visit Chaoshan, Chaozhou. Wonderful place to be.

This was probably my favorite hotel during my seven week trip around China. I had the third-floor room with view of the lake and a bathtub in my room. The bed and pillows was extremely comfortable. The hotel provided plenty of bottle water and gave a gift of fruit upon arrival. The price quality ratio was better than expected. The staff were very kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The best part of this place is the location, right behind YUY Hotel at the junction of Paifang Street (Taiping Rd) and Xima Road. You can just walk a few minutes to Kaiyuan Temple, Guangji Gate and Guangji Bridge. At 5.30pm, they remove the pontoons in the middle of the bridge and at 8pm, there is a light show. Food is abundantly found in the surrounding streets. Access to this hotel is via the 2 lanes beside YUY Hotel from Paifang street or Xima Road. The boss and his wife communicate in Mandarin, so Google translate will come in handy. Before checking in, you need to inform the inn of the time of arrival so that the boss can meet you. We were given a key card and complete freedom to go in and out anytime. The place is quiet and very clean. It is also quite new. Amenities are good quality, towels and bedding all good. Perfect for an independent traveller. Hosts are friendly and helpful. There is a washing machine and place for drying clothes on the rooftop. If you come from Chaosan train station, take bus K2 and stop at the Central Hospital opposite West Lake and walk to the inn in about 10-15mins. It's one kilometer and I'm sweating all the way to the designated intersection. It costs 89 yuan from the high-speed rail station to Xima Road (I don't know why). On the contrary, it costs 66 yuan to take Didi from Xima Road to the high-speed rail station. It takes about 40 minutes. Take a taxi from Xima Road.
